Korba makes his way over to the table with the others and asks "May we join?" Once they agree, he sits down, and fills them in on what he learned, adding "I'm not sure what else we'll be able to find here. She was here yesterday morning, the day after dancing, which is strange, but seems to have been sitting alone. I'd rather not ride five days before we have a bit more confirmation that she did, in fact, leave with the bard..."
Olivia chimes in after Korba finishes, speaking in a hushed tone so only the table can hear, "I think we should pay a visit to the two places Anneleth suggested. Oh, and good job back there Korba."
"You as well." Korba replies smiling "Clever thinking for a reason to know our girl." Finishing his drink he adds "And yes, checking other places here in town is definitely the next step. I'm ready when you all are.
"Towleigh. and wasn't that school mentioned in one of the quests?"
"Indeed," Talinian replies. "It was one part of the three-fold quest and involved actual missing children, students of that school, not a missing adult daughter. One of the reasons I preferred that contract to this one. However, we are a group and the group voted for this contract. Perhaps the other will still be available later. I just pray to the Goddess that the children are unharmed."
"You as well." Korba replies smiling "Clever thinking for a reason to know our girl." Finishing his drink he adds "And yes, checking other places here in town is definitely the next step. I'm ready when you all are.
Talinian nodded. "Agreed but perhaps the barkeep or one of the servers might know which guards were here that night. If these other locations prove unhelpful, these other guards might provide additional clues."
"It couldn't hurt to ask I suppose." Korba replies. On their way out, he'll stop at the bar one last time to ask the bartender "It's good to see you have a deal with the guards to keep them here. Smart thinking on your part." Complimenting the bartender, knowing that it's likely not their call anyway. "Would you happen to have any regulars here on Sunday mornings that may have seen Eris if she were here?"
If anyone wants to do anything before then that's fine, just save that line for when they're all leaving

"honestly, knowing she was an adult does make me want to do that now. hopefully after this we can take that."
ooc: DM, would most people have heard of the school?
Most people have. Wubroth has probably heard of it, he might have even served with one or two wizards who also went to the school. They are known best for having a lot of small campuses in Towleigh.
"Would you happen to have any regulars here on Sunday mornings that may have seen Eris if she were here?"
"I mean we have our Sunday brunch rush, so that's a lot, then there is the @$$ clown guards. They always come in on Saturday night after their shift, and some nights they crash here, I'm not sure if they did this week, I left early on Saturday, family stuff. Anyway, they always come in and act like jack @$$3$. There 5 of them, 1 is an older gnome Lodon he's kind of the leader. A pair of mixed elves twins. They ain't mixed you and me, they are mixed Sun elf and Earth elf, Virven and Virqen. Kelid, he is the best of the group, only one who tips, he is a half-orc. Then there is the worst of the group, he thinks that the discount they get isn't good enough, gets a little hands-on with the girls, Lodon eggs him on. I don't even remember his name."
As the bartender is going through this Laila is walking over to get drinks refilled and says abline of curse words. "Thomas, you can't remember that ********'s name, @$$ #0!3."
"Was he and the rest here on Sunday morning?" The bartender asked Laila
"Yes, and I want them kicked out permanently." Laila answered as she slams the mugs on her tray and storms back to the table of guards.
While the bartender and server are talking, Korba looks to see if the other guard table can hear, and if they have any reaction to others of their kind simply being called that.
perception 12; insight 10 - use whichever, or both, or neither :P
"Well they sound like a handful... Not that I really want to find them based on that description... but, if we need to to find our friend, other than '*******' is there some way we could find them at the guard's tower?" Korba responds, with a bit of a chuckle simply referring to guards that way.
Talinian gave the matter some brief consideration, then suggested, "I believe our next step should be seeing this guardsman Thomas Commonbroke, who wants his sword enchanted. That will allow us to interrogate him as well as allow us to possibly locate some of the guards who were here the night Eris was dancing. I believe the human expression is 'Kill two birds with one arrow.'"
"I like that idea, but how should we go about it? Should we try to force the information out of him or try and rely on our instincts to know if he's lying?" Olivia responds.
"Perhaps we should approach the situation not assuming he is involved," Talinian replies. "Again, we have no real information the woman is missing. She may have left of her own volition. She has been going to these dances for a long time. More than sufficient time to meet someone, or more than one someone and make arrangements to leave."
"OR long enough for someone to notice a pattern, and if you ask me it's probably not the guard, sounds like career suicide to piss off the wizard in the tower but another wizard might have reason to." Olivia chimes back
"That sounds like a good next step."Korba replies. "Finding, and getting any useful information from the ******* guards, will likely not be easy, if they even know anything at all. And if they are constantly harassing the staff, they likely wouldn't have noticed a lone elfin woman." Nodding at killing two birds he adds "And as you said, perhaps it is possible he'll know of the guards. You are also correct, we should assume he is not involved. Let us approach as representatives of the wizard, which is not entirely untrue, and ask about his weapon."
Olivia's eyes light up at the mention of Korba's plan, "Oh I like that plan, there's even a chance he admits whether he has the girl or not. Good thinking half ass."
So you guys are going to try and find Thomas Commonbroke.
As you start to walk the streets of the Cabbage Grove you find a pair of guards on patrol, you ask about Thomas, they give you an eye roll, and describe a young human man, with long red curly hair, and blue eyes. Extremely short, and neither one of them know how he is considered physically fit. They give you directions to where he would be on patrol at, and that he would be with an old Gnome named Lodon. You walk to where you were pointed out, and find the two walking patrol.
As they walked (or in Korbas' case rode) along, looking for the guardsmen, Talinian turned to Nartas and Wubroth. "So, my fellow guildspeople, what thoughts do you have on what we have learned? Do you have any suggestions on how we should approach this Thomas? I, myself, am unsure. My training in the school of magic was insufficient to this task and my normal interaction with humans outside of the school tends to be one of wariness and even fear on their side and resigned acceptance on mine. I suppose we could use that but I would prefer to work outside the normal Tiefling-Human paradigm. Change must start somewhere." Talinian paused, realizing he'd gone on for a bit.
With a smile, he continued, "Please, share your thoughts."
ooc: There's no reason we cannot role-play the decision making before we actually find the guards.

Let me know what you guys are going to do. I would say you know that finding a specific guard, or group of guards would not be too hard to do.

Let me know what you want to do. You would know that the guards would follow a schedule that repeats every week, and finding guards is not that hard.
