"Not everyone appreciates good art," Bones sympathises, "But that doesn't mean you can attack them. I feel like there's more to this than just a dislike of your music though. Why would you send oozes into town just because they don't like your music? We know that you and the mayor are not on good terms. How about you give us some context?"
"There is a difference between not likeing it and it being rude @$$ holes, aaahhhh!" Davey replys. "So what Raymond and I never got along, he is a wierd guy, and only got wierder after his wife died."
Talinian studies Davey for a moment, then pulls Bones aside. "I believe something does not make sense here. I fear the mayor may have ulterior motives in asking us to deal with this situation. That's why I sent the guards away. Please quietly let the others know. I did not wish to say anything in front of Davey and was unwilling to live him even a little unguarded."
Returning to Davey, goes on. "Please clarify what you mean by weird? And what happened after his wife died?" Talinian asks. "And, be specific. Also, you did not answer the question about why you're sending oozes to attack town."
With a mental command, Talinian sends Baltor to scout and monitor the approaches from the city out to a distance of at least 500 feet from the cemetery.
After waiting for Bones to tell the others his suspicions, Talinian turns to Thodin and Fiume, he asks, "Will you please gather the horses for us?"
Bones nods in agreement to Talinian's comment about the mayor having ulterior motives, "That was my thought from the outset after our encounter with the mayor." He whispers Talinian's message to the others. He then takes a moment to consider the implications of what Davey is saying, Mayor Raymond's wife dying, the undead guards encountered at his side. "When did the mayor's wife die?"
He then turns to Talinian, "Talinian, may I borrow your pearl and such materials to identify this bagpipe while you continue your interrogation?"
(ooc: Aye, that’s a fair cop, don’t think we brought we wagon though, eh? :P )
Thodin nods and heads outside the cemetery gates, approaching where the party left some packs and bits, alongside Talinian’s horse. Untying the animal, and slinging any of the items and packs over its saddle, the Dwarf leads it back towards the others.

The bag pipes I have added to Bones' invintory.
Question about the mayor. "Raymond is always been kind of a loaner, if there was any type of choice on who was mayor he wouldn't be. His wife died about a year ago, and ever sence then he has just pulled into himself more, and spends less time out during the day." why is he trying to kill people "They are @$$e$ all of them. Like I said ₣u¢₭ them, they want to be mean to me about everything, I can be mean right back!"
Talinian considers for a moment, then leans over and whispers to Mia. "Will you see if you can persuade him to be more forthcoming. I think we need to know who gave him the bagpipes, is that how he's summoning the oozes and what details he can tell us about the mayor. I mean, this 'threat' wasn't much of one so why go to the trouble of bringing in and paying for outsiders."
Bones packs the bagpipes away and walks over to Davey and the others, handing Talinian back his pearl. "What did his wife die of? Interesting that things changed so drastically at that point. Some change is expected when a loved one dies, but..." his voice trails off. "That's a nice set of bagpipes there too, Davey. You got them from a local merchant? I'd be interested in chatting to them, especially if they trade in such enchanted items."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mia would lean in to listen to Talinian's request. She had been observing silently. Davey had a lot of questions coming at him from them. She would wait for Bone's to continue the conversation.
Her eyes would look to Talinian. She could try to add to it. Taking a deep breath, Mialee will put on her softest smile. She'd step forward to address Davey after a pause, she'd start. "Hi Davey. I'm Mia. I'm sorry everyone's been such jerks. We are trying to understand your situation before we pass judgement. Is this really all about being mean? Why go through all this trouble? As you can tell, my companions and I have have many questions. We'd like to hear the whole story, from your perspective to help us fill in the gaps. We recognize the value in learning from you." Mia would keep her voice soft and sincere in hopes he would be willing to open up a little more, fill in the gaps by answering Bone's and Talinian's questions. After a bit of a pause, she'd decide to add a little flattery, although begrudgingly, Talinian did ask her to try. She'd sigh before continuing. "I see the value in learning from you. I must admit, I'm a little bit of a bagpipe enthusiast myself." This wasn't a lie. It was a little bit of a guarded secret. Well. It was. But Mia would push through it. "I too would like to know more about where you got them. Is that really how you summon your little ooze friends?" She'd make her eyes go a bit wider in awe.

As Mia talks to Davey, Talinian leans over to Bones and asks softly, so Davey doesn't hear, "What did you learn about the bagpipes? They are enchanted, it would seem."
"I'll start with the mayor and his wife, she was not any nicer or meaner than anyone else in town. Tilly and Raymond had been together sence for ever, they grew up together, her mom was a servant in the Mayor's mannor where Raymond grew up. She was sick for a long time, I'm not sure what from, but she slowly died. dispite my relationship with Raymond I felt bad for him, but not bad enough to become friends with him. Now on to me, I feel in love with music when I was very young. No matter how much I played, or practieced everyone was always mean to me. I met a traveling mercant who had the bagpipes, I don't think he knew that they were magical, at least he didn't tell me. The day after I bought them was the first day that an Ooze came. A few days later, and a few Oozes later, I went to the cemitary, I do it every couple of days, to play for my mom, thats when I found out that they summon the Oozes. I played my bag pipes, and one came out, it didn't attack me, but I was able to tell it what to do, and where to go with out saying anything. Later that night I played it again, that's when I found out I don't always controle them, so I hide in the old sexton's house. But that night I decided that I would build an army of Oozes, and attack the town, I figured the ones I don't control could weaken them up, then I could go in with 10 or even more and well kill everyone in it."
Bones nods at Talinian's question, "Indeed. Nothing outlandish, but interesting nonetheless."
Then after listening to Davey tell his story, Bones sighs, "It disappoints me that you would cause pain and suffering to the town just because they were mean to you. I feel for the loss of your mother, and can understand you coming to pay your respects and play your music for her. However, this is no reason enough to send these oozes into town. You disappoint me, pretend bard." With that, Bones shakes his head and walks away. After a few paces, he stops and turns to Talinian, "Curiosities or no in town, you have my thoughts on this... young boy. I will look around the graveyard here. In hopes of finding the mayor's late wife, or perhaps some other clue to our mystery." And Bones goes off to look around the graves and find Raymond's lost wife, Tilly (Investigation: 18).
"Thank you, Mia. Let's gag, him, then, and when we have completed our work here in the graveyard we will take him back to the town, unless one of you have another suggestion? Fiume, Thodin, Mia?" Talinian inquires.
Vur leaves with a look of disappointment on his face, the other guard is a little shaken, but more happy about things.
You find on him 14 silver pieces, a short sword and a short bow. And of course the bag pipes.
"₣u¢₭ that town. Ahhh and the people in it. They hate me for my music, all I do is play for them and they hate me for it."
