would Paren get to add bless to that roll? Since Elhanna told them that she would bless them if they were going to do combat.

 Oka, I am willing to accept that Elhanna would have cast Bless before the combat.  Paren needs to roll a d4, anything above a 1 and one of the stirges is splattered.

Twitch is doing her best to keep the net tight, ensuring that the stirges won't be able to get to them.

Strength check?

Si'Juul will aid Twitch with holding the net, possibly giving advantage.

Paren starts punching the creatures through the net

Elhanna raise her crossover and fire at any strig that seem to be to close to be comfortable.

The three surviving stirges fly down and hit the net!

Holy cow!  One stirge manages to break through the net and buzzes triumphantly at you!

The mighty stirge attacks! Attack: 17 Damage: 4

The target is: 3...Si'Juul! The little monster latches on and starts sucking blood.

The party is up.

"GET BACK YOU BEASTS" Elhanna yell and cast Word of Radiance for 5

everyone withing 5ft Con save 15 or half damage.

Twitch desperately tries to pry the beast off, not wanting to risk stabbing it as it was latched onto Si'Juul's face!

Two stirges die, including the one attached to Si'Juul.  One is still buzzing against the net. (Twitch, you can redo your turn, sicne the stirge you were going to attack is already dead.)

Paren goes to pop the last beast.

Si'Juul is about to reach up and grab the storage when he suddenly sees it glow alight with a radiant glow and drop to the floor.

".....huh......well, alright then......"

(Bless should still be in affect, and since even if he rolls a 1, Attack 2 will hit...)

Paren swats the last of the nasty little goobers.  The stairway is now clear, apart from the net.

You open the hatchway on top of the stairs to find a a large, round room in complete disarray. It is open to the air on all sides. The colored bits of glass scattered all over the floor suggest that the upper parts of the walls once held large, beautiful stained glass windows. The room looks as if it once might have been an alchemist’s or potion-maker’s workshop. There are parts of broken glass tubes and herbalist’s tools and other unidentifiable pieces of tools among the rubble, as well as pieces of small cages and what looks like a shredded journal. Any furniture that used to be in the room must have been removed, or thrown out the window.  The only large item in the room is a heavy work desk lying on its side.  Half the drawers have been pulled out and smashed, their splintered remains scattered among the other detritus in the room. A  rope hangs from the ceiling, attached to a fold-down ladder that leads up to another hatch.

Si'Juul will look around the mess for any tools or, if lucky enough, any intact potions.

Investigation I am guessing: 22

From the broken bits, and things here and there, you can put together a complete Herbalists kit. You also find some readable scraps from the shredded journal. (Will post tonight, I am at work and don't have the files here.)  You find only broken potion bottles.

 You do notice that one drawer of the desk is locked.

Elhanna aswell, she will pick up the torn herbalism book and put it in the new bag to study later and look through the remaining drawers in the desk. And if she finds any herbalist tools intact she will take them as well. 

“oh gosh, it looks as a tornado has been through here!” 

OOC: Disregard my roll if she can give Si’Juul advantage for helping out, however good I roll! (I expect a bad roll!)

Si'Juul steps up to the locked drawer and sighs.

"Could probably shoot this open, I think"

Twitch has already gotten out her pen knife, and opened it up to her lockpicking tools: "No need for violence this time, Si'Juul, I should be able to get this lock."
