As she pieces together the scraps together, Twitch starts to unfurl a story of this mage, who after an experiment on some tame flying creature created the huge birds that are currently sitting on top of the tower. By all accounts, the wizard seems convinced that the birds managed to get into the stores somehow, with whatever consequences that might hold. Still though, Twitch can't quite figure out why one of the scraps would say the same things on both pages. Was the wizard going mad? But then, the birds were real enough, and it certainly looked as though the last page was stained in blood.

After casting Mending, you have two full pages of the journal, written on both sides.
It seems that the wizard filled his empty hours trying to develop a new sort of growth potion, experimenting to disastrous effect on the local plants and animals. He eventually had success with his plant experiment, but hesitated to use it on a monkey considering the disaster that had come of his first monkey test. He decided to try it on some of his pets. He had a cage full of tiny creatures called Eveswyrms (spelled in several creative variations.) They were tiny creatures with the bodies of dragons and the feathers of birds. They were common in some distant land, where they build nests among the eaves of the houses, and were appreciated for their ferocity in wiping out mice, large insects, and other pests. A passing ship had brought him a cage full of them as a gift. The experimental potion worked this time, but he did not realize until they were the size of horses that his precious little pets were highly intelligent and evil. (And, in some cases, the potion has...less than standard effects.) In the end, he tried to cast a spell protecting the island from evil, but was unsure if it would protect him, if the evil was already here.
He seems to have found the answer to that.

Wow I found a place where mending is actually useful! 😂 I love this spell for rp reasons but have never found it useful until now! Stuff is always too big. 😑
”well, then we should not drink this potion I guess.” Elhanna joke..
"Sounds like they're going to be trouble otherwise. But, if you allow me, I'd like to take the three vials of the enlargening potion with us. They might come in handy, and even if they don't I might be able to analyse them further and might figure out a way to make them work."
OOC: I wasn't sure whether the duplicate was a mistake or not, and assumed for RP reasons that it wasn't. I tried to use my image software to piece the page back together, but could have just waited for the mending to take care of it :P

Twitch shows off the newly-mended pages. Her mending spell even eliminated the wrinkles and cleaned the paper a bit. But alas, it could do nothing for the faded ink, stains, many misspellings and orthographical errors.
