(I tied with the one chasing me.)

(I give players the advantage of ties. So, does Si'Juul just keep flying for his turn?)

(Yes. And are we counting the initial flight from the tower as the 1st of the 6 turns, or we starting now in the air?)

OOC: I'm on holiday now and the wifi is somewhat spotty. I can still get a post per day in though.

Twitch's initiative: 22

Twitch is thoroughly unsure of what to do, as the birds are very rapidly flying away from them, and she's just helplessly looking at Elhanna, to see whether she might help.

(We'll count it as the first round.)

Si'Juul vs Red: Si-Juul flies.  Red catches up and strikes:

Attack: 15 Damage: 5

Attack: 20 Damage: 5

If Red hits, he attempts to grapple you: to escape roll either a strength or dex check, your choice.

Red-Green will catch up on Paren this round, too, but Paren has initiative.

Si'Juul fails to escape the grapple with a roll of 9, so he will look to the Eveswyrm and say,

"Eat this!"

And shove his makeshift grenade down its gullet after priming it.

Twitch does have one idea come to her mind. Maybe, just maybe, the wizard had all the ingredients here that she'd need to make the black powder Si'Juul used for his blunderbuss. If not, she might be able to use the small pouch of her own powder. If she could fill it into some sort of tube or pipe, she might be able to fire that at one of the birds. All she'd need to do was cram the net into the front end, and hope that the fuse would cause the whole thing to detonate near the bird, entangling it with her net. First things first though, ingredients. She was looking for saltpeter, sulfur, and charcoal.

Investigation to hopefully find some or all of the ingredients in the shelfs of the laboratory.

Initiative: 9

Seeing that he won't make it away Paren determines to put up more of a fight than the wizard and turns to fight. He spins with his sword before assuming a defensive stance. 

Sword: 17 Damage: 6

BA: Patient Defense

When Elhanna sees the dragon bird go after Paren she start to run down the stairs and towards him. When she is within range she will recast bless at him and anyone else within range! 

1d4 to everyone targeted when attacking or saving for the next minute or 10 rounds

Paren hits! Red-Green squawks and strikes with both claws, attempting to grapple Paren.

Attack: 5 Damage: 5

Attack: 17 Damage: 4

(If hit, roll a strength 12 or dex 15 check to try to evade being grappled.)

Red squawks in pain and rage as your grenade explodes in his mouth! (4)

But the angry eveswyrm keeps you trapped in his claws!  And takes a bite at you.

Twitch searches the laboratory thoroughly...but are the right items even here?  (On a 3, you find enough for one shot...on a 4 enough for three shots...on a one or two, you do not find any.)

"Alright.....let's do this....."

Si'Juul pulls out his pepperbox and fires pointblank at the beast.

(Not sure if I should have disadvantage or not. Yes he's well within 5ft, but he's multiple times my size right in my face. Gonna roll twice just in case, but ignore the second roll if no disadvantage.)

Paren falls unconscious in the beasts grasp as both claws strike home.

Red, shocked by the second blast, lets go of Si'Juul.

Red-Green leaves the unconscious Paren to aid her mate chasing down Si'Juul.

Elhanna and Twitch?

Initially Elhanna went to bless Paren, but just as she were to gather the powers granted her by Mishakel she sees the beast grab him in a visions attack. She reaches for the powers inside her but instead of bless she yell out “wake up!” And cast healing word for 3

"Sod it, no saltpeter or sulfur to be found, but plenty of charcoal... hmmm..." With that, Twitch gathers up as much charcoal as she can, andthen starts legging it down the stairs and out of the tower. If she gets there in one turn, she'll spend the next trying to light a signal fire to coomunicate with the ships to provide fire support.

With the wyrn releasing him, Si'Juul grins.

In Auran he says,

"Yes....realize that I am the superior bird....."

He moves 10ft toward Paren and fires on the red who had grappled him

Attack: (can't remember if I had received Bless, if so then 16, if not then 12)

Unlikely Damage: 10

(Elhanna cast Bless before the stirge fight, but it only lasts a minute, and that was a while ago.)

Thanks to Elhanna's healing, Paren sits up blinking as his attacker flies toward Si'Juul who has opted to do the big boss-fight single-handed in the air.

Red backs off to catch his breath and shake the ringing noise out of his ears as his angry mate charges Si'Juul with a pair of claw attacks. (No attempt to grapple this time...you seem too dangerous to snuggle.)

Attack: 20 Damage: 5

Attack: 14 Damage: 3

Twitch runs out and sets fire to a pile of charcoal! There's not enough to make big flames, but I'm sure Twitch would have found something among the laboratory supplies to make a column of dark smoke rise to the sky.
