Tales from Talaveroth

(In terms of a direct straight line, how far am I from the ships? Also, I'm guessing there was no reaction from the wyrm when I spoke Auran.)

Hearing the ship's bells, Twitch will start to run down to the beach, to try and lend support with the cannon as much as she can.

Si'Juul is still about 400 feet from the ships. And no, they apparently don't speak Auran, or at least do not react to it.

Twitch certainly can run down the stairs toward the ships, but...it took you hours to climb the stairs.  Without a parachute, it will be quite a while before you get there.

(The wyrm is still right up against me too?)

Red-Green is near you, Red has backed off for a minute.

With the other wyrm now up close, Si'Juul will disengage with his main action and fly 50ft towards the ships.

Bonus action for Second Wind.

Paren hops back up and takes another defensive stance. (Holding a dodge action)

Elhanna whisper a word and shoot out a light from her palm towards the bird closest to Paren.

Twitch runs toward the stairs as Paren pre[ares to defend himself and Elhanna releases a blast of magic that...sadly misses.

Si'Juul seems the most dangerous, and the most likely to escape: both Eveswyrms fly to attack him once more!

Red:

You are still very far from the ship, but a harpoon comes whistling through the air from the large ballista! Attack: 7 Damage: 19 Sadly, it also misses.

(Party is up again!)

Red/green missing both attacks but red landing his, Si'Juul says to them through panting breaths,

"You two.....are really.....pissing me off......"

Si'Juul flies underneath and behind them to take their eyes off the ships, firing a shot at red again.

He will use his Action Surge to reload.

Twitch will continue running down the stairs, using her bonus action to dash in order to get to the boats as quickly as possible.

As Paren remains ready to defend on the ground, and Elhanna waits inside the tower, and Twitch hurries down more stairs, the Eveswyrms continue their attack on Si'Juul.

They are attacking at an extremely long range, though...perhaps if Si'Juul leads the enemy into closer range...or lands so his companions can help in the fight.

Paren looks at the birds getting much too far away for him to do any good and has another idea. He pulls out his tinderbox and runs upstairs. 

How close to the ships is Twitch?

The cliff is about 600 feet tall.  The stairs do not go straight down, they weave back and forth. Figure 1200 feet to walk. Twitch's dashing speed is 50 feet per round/6 seconds. Which means running to the bottom will take 24 combat rounds...a bit over 2 and a half minutes.  If Twitch wants to dive into the ocean from the cliff, it will go a LOT faster, but you will have to make either an athletics or acrobatics roll of DC12 or be knocked unconscious by impact with the water. (Not going to to normal falling damage due to water below breaking your fall.)

Si'Juul will chug his healing potion and disengage once more, flying downwards towards the ground also towards the ships. (Like a 45 degree angle, I think, might be wrong on that but you get the idea.)

Elhanna curses at her inability to do anything. It was a dumb idea to run away like that. We should just have stood a fought here.. 

Seeing Paren rushing off she Follow behind and ask “what can I do to help?” and cast bless on him and her. 

Seeing that taking the stairs is going to take far too long, Twitch leaps across the edge, diving down to the sea below in the hopes of reaching the boats faster that way.

Acrobatics: 4 vs 12

OOC: Ouch, that went poorly.

Paren runs up the tower steps, a plan in mind, with Elhanna following.

Twitch takes a daring leap off the 600-foot cliff!  She hits the water with a horrific smack.  Sailors leap into the ocean to rescue their ship's carpenter from drowning!

Si'Juul chugs a healing potion (Did not roll for heals?) and recovers 6 hp, racing toward the ship, and bringing the Eveswurms closer to the ballistas!

The big ballista fires: Attack: 9 Damage: 23

The two smaller ballistas fire, barely within their furthest range:

Attack: 22 Damage: 15

Attack: 16 Damage: 12

 Red is skewerd by harpoons, and with a final screech, falls slowly into the sea.

Red-Green gives a long wail of grief and rage, and hits Si'Juul again!

The party is up!

(I had rolled my physical dice as I had been since the start of Grotex's game. Didn't roll very well with the potion.)

Si'Juul grins at the remaining bird.

"Whatever you do....don't run...."

With the ballistae in range now, Si'Juul will try to hold out with a Dodge action.
