The Champion sets himself down before the rescued people, and cast augury entreating the Raven Queen for guidance on the benefits of locking up the rescued.
(as a ritual casting)
[In case you missed it, the rescued were tied, freed, and now resting below deck, as per posts 1045 and 1051. Or is The Champion asking the Raven Queen whether they should be locked going forward?]
We should go to Port Damali of course, says Kenton confidently. Jaxon Brand must hear of the demise of the sea devil that destroyed his ship. And of course we should tell the Clovis Concord,he adds less enthusiastically. I assure you, Brand is in a better position than most to assist in researching and understanding this threat. And if it is connected to the disappearance of one of his family, as I fear it may be, you will find no greater ally in seeking out this menace and bringing it to an end.
"You wouldn't know this, Kenton, but we also promised to return the diving helmets to Bryn in Brokenbank, or take care of that shipwreck job if we want to keep them. Do you think Jaxon Brand would mind if we made a detour before returning the ship? I would hate to get tied up in other things and not keep our primise."
Jaxon Brand's concern is his family and the safety of his employees, Oden, Kenton replies with his usual confidence, though he does not admit the fact that he barely knows Brand at all. We should return as soon as we can, though... this equipment has been vital in facing the menace below, and is likely to be needed again given the nature of the threat we face. A quest to secure this equipment permanently does not seem a detour to me. He smiles and grows excited as he says the word 'quest'. It's often the way of things, no? One quest leads to another, and so we follow the adventurous path! Tell me more of this shipwreck job, and I will aid you if you decide to take it on.
"I'm happy to hear this. Bryn didn't give us any details, only that we may pay for them by doing some salvage work, for which the helmets were originally intended. What does everyone else think we should do?", Oden asks looking at the others, "Boerth is eager to set a course."
"I think the shipwreck sounds like a good idea - it might also help us get a clearer idea of what's happening down there, whether it's a localised problem just by what'sherface or if it's more widespread," Beatrice says.
[It seems like the consensus is a stop at Brokenbank, so Boerth has set sail for there. You will all get a long rest and now have access to your third level abilities.]
You arrive at the Brokenbank docks at around dawn, yet people are already starting to fill the streets. Let me know where you want to go and what you want to do.
On the journey to Brokenbank, Oden would have inspected and shown Selachai's headress and necklace to the party, in case any of them wanted them.
Upon reaching Brokenbank, he'll ask everyone: "Do you want to get straight to business, or go around the town and see what it offers? I know I would like to see how my siblings are doing sometime today."
You have family here? Kenton says. Of course you should visit them first. Alas, I have little coin and no business to conduct here. I will gladly come along with you all, though - I am keen to get a sight of this island, as it is my first visit.
(OOC: Was there any treasure from the fight, other than the magical items the party is keeping?)
"Of course, you must see your family first!" Beatrice says. "You need to check if they're alright. After that we could play it by ear? I admit I've gotten a bit turned around on what our current priorities are, but I'm happy to follow along wherever we go."
The rescued Flora Islanders look better than they did the day before, but are still in various states of shock. A few ask what happened to the other Flora Island refugees as they get ready to disembark and a few ask for passage to Port Damali.
Oden, the last time you saw Arvastan, Mira and Kerith was at the Drunken Sailor, so I take it that you go there?
Oden will tell them that the ship will sail for Port Damali in one or two days, depending how long it takes them to finish their business here, but they are welcome. Alternatively, he could find passage on another ship. As he says this, Oden hands them each 5 GP, saying: "My family was welcomed in Palma Flora when we lost our home. This is to say thanks and help you start anew".
He will then make his way toward The Drunken Sailor, taking those who wanted to remain in Brokenbank with him.
Aliez wakes up and looks troubled for much of the remaining journey. "I am also short on coin but perhaps the headdress and other jewelry can be sold to get more provisions." Although I would love to take a small piece of jewelry if it isn't too much trouble."
"Thank you Vincent for the hand. Where are you headed in town?" She asks the Champion.
Feeling that he hasn't spoken much to the gnome, Kenton decides he will spend some time with Reguh, if he is willing. And what do you plan to do on this island? I am at a loss myself, but would accompany you if you do not mind. I have visited a number of small islands in my time, but for a son of Nicodranas I'm afraid I have never been much drawn to the sea. Now my cause takes me far across the waters, I think. And what of you - are you an experienced sailor?

[Nothing special about these, DM? Feel free to claim these, and also a bracelet, for either wearing or selling. Oden will be happy to part with the Sahuagin jewelry]
[I'm also having a busy one home schooling my son and with work. I'll be able to do a big post tomorrow afternoon (in about 24 hours), until then party-to-party roleplaying is encouraged.
The jewellery does not give off any magic vibes, and appears just to be decorative.]

[Just checking if you have the 25gp of components?]

Yes. Totally. No need to check my inventory. >.>

“Aliez and I will meet up with you later. Here at the ship?”
The Champion will offer her a hand to assist walking off the ship, in an effort at being polite.

(Sorry been out for a bit. Will update in the morning. Had some stuff going on)

(And I definitely want to do some role playing!)
