[Just to confirm, are people suggesting that you want to look for wrecks now or is it just that extra people are having a quick swim with whales?
I don't mind either, though if it is the former, Dajarkal raises that she has already put her neck on the chopping block with the Concord by not making you all return to Port Damali straight away. If someone wants to make a persuasion check, then I'll let you know what she says about it.
If you are all just having a quick swim with the whales, anyone who has a swim speed can at least keep up with the ship without issue and the whales slow down and change course so that they are moving parallel to the ship. Anyone without a swim speed will need to make an athletics check for me to try to keep pace.]
Beatrice will listen to Dajarkal's explanation and immediately back down from any sort of swimming - she's definitely not able to keep up with the boat and she doesn't want to get anyone in trouble.
Athletics being a righteous skill of the holy warrior, Kenton will channel divinity to himself advantage on the check: 14. At least for ten minutes - definitely just a quick swim. :)
Dajarkal thanks Beatrice with a warm smile and a nod.
Kenton tests out the breathing helmet on his swim. He starts to fall behind the ship, until a sperm whale calf helps him to catch up and he gets back on the ship.
Oden races ahead of Kenton and keeps pace with the ship, and even seems to be swimming faster than the whales. He then notices (with passive perception of 14) that the whales seem to be swimming slowly on purpose, with the ones from the back dashing easily double his speed then falling back to be just a tiny bit slower than Oden. They seem genuinely happy to interact with him and Kenton for a little while, before continuing on their journey.
At the end of the day, Dillyu cooks a magnificent feast and says "You can thank The Champion for this meal, he was very generous back in Brokenbank before we left."
You all then get a good night's rest to be awoken by a storm early the next morning [TBC].
You awake to skies that are a darker shade than normal, with clouds so thick they block out all trace of light. Rain is propelled horizontally with the wind, hitting like daggers and needles, reducing vision to mere feet around each person. Winds blow loose objects and people unprepared for its force off course. Waves 15-30 feet high assault the ship, blowing over the rail and soaking you all with its frigid embrace. It takes most of your efforts as a group to keep the ship sailing in the right direction, though Beorth manages to stay the course. He indicates that including the delay you will likely arrive in Port Damali by mid-morning or lunchtime the next day at the latest.
If you have anything that you want to do before nightfall apart from keeping the ship on course, please let me know.
Kenton enjoys standing on the deck and watching the power of the storm. Not a good day for a swim, eh? he shouts over the crashing of the water. Or perhaps we should? When Kord desires to test you, the only way is to embrace it! He laughs as another wave splashes across the deck, pulling for all he is worth on a rope as instructed by the crew. Or perhaps not. Staying afloat is test enough for today!
Boerth thanks The Champion for the assist and tells him that his spell likely shaved an hour or more off the travel time.
The storm calms as night approaches, and although the skies begin to clear, the water is still quite choppy. Dillyu points out the Palma Flora coastline in the distance and you see signs of a ship that looks like it was wrecked in the storm with crates and driftwood floating on the waves. Dillyu scans for survivors as you continue towards your destination. About half an hour into this he calls out "Ahoy! Looks to be a small raft, port side, about half a cable to a cable out!”
Kenton will help the champion. More victims of the sea devils, perhaps? A familiar tale, alas. We must give aid, of course. He takes a look at who is on the raft, trying to see them better. Perception9
Beatrice will also help Kenton and The Champion. "Keep an eye out for more jellyfish balloons," she says as she grabs a couple of the lines, ready to haul whoever it is aboard.
At first you are unable to see the raft at all in the darkness on the waves, but as the Wavechaser gets closer you see a raft, about 20 feet by 20 feet with a number of figures waving.
Oden:
It takes a few minutes to find where Dillyu is pointing, but you manage to make out the raft and you try to keep track of it as you approach. You see a raft, about 20 feet by 20 feet with about 6–8 smallish robed figures trying to hail the ship. They are waving their hands and jumping up and down.
You are not close enough to be useful if you dive in yet, so let me know if you still do when you get within 60 ft.
Anyone else who wants to make a perception check as you approach can.
Actually, you could dive in straight away, though it is a few hundred ft away (somewhere between half a cable (360ft) and a cable (720ft). Let me know if you do that and swim, or whether you wait to dive in.
As Kenton is in his full armour, he's not planning on swimming, but he will find a rope and wait on deck, keeping a close eye on the survivors and the swimming Oden. When they are close enough he calls out: Have no fear, my friends. Rescue is at hand!
If it's helpful to do so, he will call out the position to Boerth to help the ship come as close as possible to the raft without capsizing it.
As you get closer to the raft, you see that there are 7 small robed figures, waving vigorously and shouting for help in common. Let me know if I have placed you correctly in the map below. Also, everyone please make a (further) perception check as you approach.
"I'd love a swim," Beatrice says, still staring at the whales. "And if we can get one of the shipwrecks out the way, so much the better, right?"

Oden can't refuse a swimming challenge and he's pretty confident he can keep up with the ship.

The Champion casts enhance ability on whoever’s navigating to help with intelligence checks to keep the direction in mind?

Oden dives in as soon as he hears about this to help search for survivors among the flotsam.
