Upon overhearing Dajarkals words about animals, Steve makes a beeline to her, wings folded, and mews expectantly.
Dajarkal beams a smile when she sees the cat approach. She then sees the folded wings and gasps, "Body-size just under 2 feet, check! Cat-like body, check! Wingspan approximately 3 feet, check! Intelligent look in eyes, check! Oh my goodness, you are truly a tressym, aren't you?" Dajarkal quickly looks around for the most-wizard like person on the boat, spots Reguh and abruptly walks off from Tharhun and Heidi's conversation. Tharhun, you take Dajarkal's bumbling manner when speaking before as being awkwardness rather than a lack of intelligence (if you didn't already).
Dajarkal approaches Reguh and asks "Hello, 1) are you a wizard and 2) is this your tressym?" then quieter "please say yes, please say yes, please say yes."
Reguh smiles and then wave his hand in the air, which causes a shower of golden sparks. “Yes I am indeed! Reguh Warfiz is the name wizardry is my game”. His smile widens
“I am currently contemplating what could have caused that island to plummet into the sea so quickly”
Reguh smiles and then wave his hand in the air, which causes a shower of golden sparks. “Yes I am indeed! Reguh Warfiz is the name wizardry is my game”. His smile widens
She seems excited, but not by your magic display. She excitedly asks "and... and... and... are you an always-friend-to-the-small-creatures..." she stops, looks around and then in a more hushed tone continues the question "...a forest gnome?" Then, in a stage whisper, she says "I've read many times that forest gnomes are very secretive, so if you want to answer in druidic or sylvan, we can keep it between ourselves. My lips are sealed, I promise."
Aliez spends most of the trip moving among the refuges, hearing their stories and learning about who they are.
Aliez (and anyone else who wanders around and speaks to the refugees): There are 8 refugees that were saved who managed to make it onto the Wavechaser. These are:
Saved from the Riptide: Bryn Ironforge, Piotr Goldfisher, Ness Ironforge (baby) and the (ex)tavern owner Háls Bifask. Saved from the sharks: Villager 4 - Kagraline Flatfury, Villager 6 - Skatha Skugjold and Villager 5 - Fril Olzenya. Saved from the island in general: Halla the Firbolg monk.
Aliez: Fril Olzenya is also the person whose fortune you read on the beach.
You learn that Villager 2 - Mildana Diarnard (the fourth villager you saved from the sharks) left on the Tradewind, along with Ervalin, Elanza, Joao, Strenvon (four people that assisted you on the island) and Kezra from the Wavechaser's crew. Anyone else that made it off the island did so on the other skiff or caravel that left earlier, or made it across the bridge
If anyone wants to interact with specific refugees on the Wavechaser or any of the crew, let me know.
“Yes I am a forest gnome. I am friends with many small creatures, though I left most of them behind. My tressym is named Steve, by the way. He seems to like you. Why do you know Sylvan?
After waking up, Beatrice will play with baby Ness for a while, glancing around at everyone else to see what they're doing and to try and get a better measure of them.
Dajarkal seems much more comfortable and confident speaking in sylvan and she says "Blessings of the Wildmother upon you Reguh, I'm Dajarkal. I like Steve as well, and I have many questions about him that I cant wait to ask either you or he. I am blessed to get to meet both a tressym and a forest gnome in the same day. The elders of my circle were right, adventure really does broadens one's horizons. As you may have noticed, I too am a friend of small creatures, though I fortunately seem to find new animal friends wherever the fates take me. I studied sylvan for many years as part of my training with the elders of my circle, though it wasn't until the spirit of the hawk filled me that I truly started to understand what the beast and fey spirits had been communicating to me since I took my oath."
Oden takes his leave, smiling, "Thank you. Let us speak again soon, Laire.", looking for another familiar face from the defense of the island. He spots the tall human who fought with the war pick. He looked thoughtful, but Oden had to thank him for his role in the fight.
"Greetings! Thank you for everything you did today. Especially for braving the collapsing tavern and getting those people out. My name is Oden."
Vincent blinks a bit, looking behind him to see who this familiar stranger was talking to before realizing he meant Vincent.
”Oh, me? I’m sure there were many who would’ve done as much. I was simply the closest. I’m Vincent. Flintmore, that is. You fought bravely out there. Those creatures were terrible. And the island sinking... the whole thing was unexpected to say the least.”
After waking up, Beatrice will play with baby Ness for a while, glancing around at everyone else to see what they're doing and to try and get a better measure of them.
Beatrice sees the human that she fought along earlier come over and look at Ness in a curious way (I'll get you to make a medicine check as well).
Vincent blinks a bit, looking behind him to see who this familiar stranger was talking to before realizing he meant Vincent.

"Yes, I wish I knew how such a thing was possible, but with your help and everyone else's, most people got away safely. It might be good to send a warning to the other islands. Actually, I'm hoping we're headed to Brokenbank so I can look for my siblings there, but we'll only know for sure when the captain's on deck."
You get the feeling a question was about to follow, Oden fidgeting a little.
Ness is a healthy and happy dwarf baby, who just happens to be able to sleep through loud noises and big commotions sometimes, but wakes up at the slightest creak at other times.
IRL: Your first cousin once removed was very much like that when he was little.
Beatrice, as you are playing with Ness, the sea-elf crew member approaches. He is young, has a vibrant green complexion and he has a kind though clearly stressed expression on his face. He starts speaking to Bryn and Piotr "Hello, I'm genuinely really sorry to do this, but I've been asked by Boerth, who was asked by Kijori to come around and get everyone's details.
Bryn chuckles, "That is no issue, young lad. Though how about you tell me who you are and then we can move on to your questions?"
The sea-elf apologises, saying "Yes, very rude of me, sorry, I just don't really want to be doing this as it feels insensitive. I'm Dillyu Gyrashiil and my heart is with you for the troubles you faced today. My Clanname means "the Joybringer," though I don't think I can bring much joy today and I feel more like Dillyu "the Punching-bag" at the moment."
Bryn nods and smiles, "Go ahead with your questions young friend."
Dillyu says "I've been asked to get full names, whether you lost your home on Flora Isle or if not, where you live, what you do or did for a living and whether you have any coin on you. I feel terrible and terribly insensitive asking this, but I've received orders. I've also been told everyone will be looked after..." and he says the next bit under his breath "but it also seems like some will be looked after better than others unfortunately."
Beatrice coos and tickles Ness on the stomach, listening in intently to the conversation as she does. "Is there a specific hierarchy as to who's getting what treatment?" she asks, not looking away from where she's tracing circles on Ness' hands to make her giggle.
Laire smiled and nod to Oden, then turned back to the see. Discussion of the danger they experienced, reminded her about one thing, though - in this world it is better to be prepared at any time. As peaceful as the boat looked, you never know. So, Laire search for some more private corner to put on her armour. Boots too, there was no point to stay barefoot. Now, prepared, she returned to the main deck and to her observations for the strange creatures she chose to live among.
It is my pleasure! Adventuring is new to me, I have mostly tried to maintain a peaceful life.... but I often find myself in trouble that I seem to have caused. Which is really why I was pushed to leave my bit of the forest. I try not to let anyone know I’m a forest gnome, but I guess it can’t be helped sometimes!
Dillyu looks around to make sure none of his crew mates are within earshot, then pretending to still speak to Bryn answers your question "You can’t let on that you know any of this, or it’s my neck on the chopping block, but I believe "the heroes" - which is you and your friends who saved the island - are to be treated like royalty and will get a cabin below deck. I was then told everyone else will be helped and receive supplies, but I was also told to ask these questions before taking some people downstairs and bringing supplies to others."

You get the feeling a question was about to follow, Oden fidgeting a little.
“Siblings? You have family mixed up in all this? My condolences. All things must pass by my lady’s gaze eventually, but I pray they have a long time yet before then.”

Vincent is going to go look at what sort of baby can sleep through a calamity. Anything weird about the baby?

Hmmm, I'm thinking that would be a medicine check.

Haha, if it wasn't a nat 1, I had some information for you. On a nat 1, Vincent cant be sure whether it is actually a baby or not.
Beatrice sees the human that she fought along earlier come over and look at Ness in a curious way (I'll get you to make a medicine check as well).
Medicine check: 23
