I'm going to assume that you all go to Hektor's Hammer. Let me know if anyone does anything else first. The blacksmith shop takes up an entire warehouse which Hektor has split into two sections. One side has a weapons, armour and metallic adventuring supplies: https://5emagic.shop/shop/hektors-hammer-95b9c0357
The other (larger) side appears to be for ship metalworks and marine fittings. You see anchors, pulleys, cabinware, cannons and cannon balls, ballista, cleats, winches, decorative pieces etc. Given how busy the port is, you can tell that the shop does a lot of trade. There are three metalworkers/blacksmiths busily creating items when you arrive, one of whom stops when you get to the door of the warehouse.
"Ahoy there, welcome to me shop. The name is Hektor" and he points to the sign, winks and grins. Hektor is a middle-aged human who has arms like tree-trunks, but comes across as jovial.
[Just to let everyone know, I've modeled my version of Brokenbank loosely on Mont Saint Michel in Brittany France (see here with google street view here if you are interested). I'm currently creating a map which I have used Mont Saint Michel as a blueprint for. There are notable differences between the places, such as Brokenbank being a 'proper' island in the ocean, Brokenbank being longer and wider, Brokenbank having a busy port rather than just being packed with tourists, the cathedral from Mont Saint Michel is a different kind of building in Brokenbank, oh and only one of the islands is real. Brokenbank is also a bit larger settlement than what is provided for in the book, but I think it fits the story better and makes sense. There are still only around 1500 permanent residents in Brokenbank as is provided for in the book (which was around the same for Mont Saint Michel at its peak), though given the number of ships that dock and sailors that travel through, it has a lot more trade, shops and access to goods.]
Laire did not need anything in that shop (not to mention, had no money to buy anything) but she followed the group, waiting for the gathering, where the plans of future campaign will be discussed.
Reguh looks around, picking random things up and examining them before setting them back down.
[Assuming Steve is out]: Hektor seems to really like your cat, giving it a long pat and asking one of his employees to fetch some fish for Steve (he appears to sell fishing gear and bait too). He does seem confused by the wings though.
(Steve is always hanging around and usually not flying. Inside of the shop, Steve would be jumping on the shelves and exploring things. As well as getting pets anywhere it can.)
“Nice shop you got here. Not much for myself here but fine craftsmanship on the weaponry.”
Hektor responds "Thanks and I love your cat-bird! So cute. I take it from your comment that you are magic type of fella? If so, you'll be wanting Faendel's shop, 'Dread, Wrath and Beyond' up in the fancier part of Brokenbank. Its a bit of a cringe-worthy name, but Faendel spends all day scribing scrolls and selling them. He also occasionally has arcane items that he gets in trade for his scrolls. Ship-mages usually make a bee-line straight to his shop when their ships come in. He's a nice enough fella, even if he is a bit 'up himself'. Otherwise the Prawn's Pawn picks up interesting items once in a while, though the owners are away at the moment. I believe Bryn and Poitr are the only people who can open the door to the back room where they keep the exotic items, so you might need to wait until your next visit to Brokenbank, when they are back."
Oden looks around only for a little bit, considering his lack of funds and the urgency of the mission. "Nice to meet you, Hektor. I'm Oden. I'm afraid we are in a bit of a hurry. Flora Isle was attacked and submerged into the sea. We aim to stop those responsible before the same fate befalls any other island. We bring a letter from Captain Three-Earrings who helped us and others off the island." Oden nods towards Beatrice, then continues: "Considering Brokenbank could very well be their next target, we welcome any help."
Hektor does not seem to recognise the captain's name, but looks very concerned about the news you gave him "Flora Isle is gone? How?"
He then blanches when he reads the note and his mannerisms towards the party changes, and he says "Right then, I wouldn't have picked you all for... Nevermind, I know when to hold my tongue. I'll go get them."
He goes to the back of the warehouse, taking one of his workers with him and saying something to the other, who from that point eyes you all with suspicion. He then returns with 4 odd looking diving helmets. Each one is a helm of steel and glass resembling a cage wrapped around a fishbowl.
Hektor looks confused, rereads the note, looks up and says, "These are the diving helmets you deman... Um... requested. They’re yours! No questions asked. Thank you for your patronage."
Anyone that sees this interaction can roll insight DC12:
He looks uncomfortable and put-out about having to hand over the helmets, though he is trying to hide this. Whatever was in the letter scared him and he obviously wants your party to leave, but also does not seem to want to say anything that cause issues for him or his business.
[If someone has identify, they can use it on one of the helmets. Otherwise I'm using the homerule that if a player takes a short rest concentrating on a magic item, they get to make an Arcana check to try to identify the item.]

"Ah yes. Thank you for your patronage. We won't forget it," Aliez says as she turns and walks out the door. She pauses at the door and says over her shoulder, "Unless, there is anything else you forgot say or give us?"
"Unless, there is anything else you forgot say or give us?"
Hektor responds, "But the note just says the helmets? Look, I don't want any trouble, but have a heart, I'm trying to run a business here." He seems to realise he has spoken out too much "I mean, if you need anything else I'll try to help. I don't want any trouble, but please be reasonable."
One of his workers looks angry and starts clenching his fists, but the other one grabs him and pulls him away, trying to calm him down.
Hektor responds "Ah no! You will have to go and lean on.. I mean visit Faendel at Dread, Wrath and Beyond or see if the Prawn's Pawn has anything if that is what you need. Ah... don't say I sent you." He looks worried that he has accidentally caused trouble for other shopkeepers as well.
Taken aback by this exchange and the change in Hektor's attitude, Oden says: "Whatever you may think of us, we're not here to cause any trouble. What I've said earlier is true. Now... pass me back the note and I'll leave you to your business."
Now... pass me back the note and I'll leave you to your business."
Hektor seems reluctant to give you back the letter and despite being a very large, work hardened 'bloke', he looks quite terrified that this might turn into a real conflict. He says, "I don't want any trouble, ok? I've given you what the letter said... Thank you for your patronage!"
Oden can make a persuasion check to get him to hand over the letter if he wants (DC15 - it would be higher, but he is scared and from this exchange he doesn't know whether he is supposed to give it back).
If he passes:
“The Revelry is requisitioning your supply of diving helmets. Hand them over, ask no questions and cause no issues or you will meet the same fate as Vikkaen.”
(Yeah after the siblings)
"I had a lot on my mind. Looking forward to ending this menace Although I am unable to fight very well under water. Something we may want to remedy."

Laire did not ask but her face expression spoke louder than any words.

"Oh don't worry. Thank you kind sir. Have a wonderful day." Aliez walks out wondering what was on that note and is kinda impressed.
