"I somehow suspect that trying to grab the woman in charge will have the highest chance of us all dying," Dara says without sounding particularly upset about that fact. "If you wish to persist in this world a little longer, I would recommend we go for one of the lower ranked ones."
As you all quietly discuss a plan, you notice something happening in the camp just outside the cave where all the action is. The enormous pig man that was standing by the older and younger woman begins to move out with four of the goblin looking creatures. They exit the camp, armed and with supplies, and begin walking along the path that would take them to Vorberg. Then, you see a figure running towards the older woman and the younger woman whom you didn't see before. It appears to be giving them a report, and both women suddenly look around and scan the edges of the camp, as if looking for something, or someone.
Wren doesn't hesitate in following behind the others, but he makes sure to keep his eyes peeled for any other dangers that may have been lurking about the area.

(Two critical failures, one from Paula and one from Werston. You both rolled 88, how interesting lol.)
Pauladean and Werston make plenty of noise in your not so stealthy hustle down the side of the Horned Monk. Along the path you take down, you are intercepted by a young woman of about sixteen years old - the same young woman you saw in the camp outside the cave. She is dressed in robes and wears strange occult items around her belt and neck, but her most prominent feature is that fact that her face is painted white with a large streak of red across her eyes - similar to the pig men and goblinoid creatures you saw a little while back. She blocks the road and bares her clawed hands to you all, ready to unleash Abyss knows what at you all.
"Who are you!?" she demands, looking over you all quickly, like an animal ready to spring. "What are you doing here!?"
"Well, those are interesting questions, and ones we all must face, sooner or later. I am simply a traveler, a mere entertainer, and these are my companions. As to what I am doing here, that is a far more touching question. I am seeking to protect those who I care about, and to regain something lost. But, I think far more interestingly, who are you, and what are you doing here?"
“You play a dangerous game old man. Am I Katherina, daughter of Johanna - leader of the Blood Boil Mutants. You travel far off the main road for one so weary. Who are you protecting? Speak, or I slay you first. Then, your friends.”
You notice that Katherina is wearing the same necklace as Waldmann is - detail that sends a chill up your spine.
"Ah... yes. Quite." Werston doffs his floppy hat, passing it between his hands nervously. "I assure you, I mean to play no games. I speak only in my surprise to meet a...er... I suppose you would be a princess of sorts, would you not? Surely you can see my consternation at meeting what in these lands would pass for a position of great honor. My mission is foremost a matter of family - specifically of a dear nephew, who is perhaps a mutual acquaintance. Would you tell me, if you find yourself feeling so generous, about that fine necklace you are wearing? I could have sworn that my nephew has one that is just like it."
Behind his hat, his hands obscured by the thick cloth, Werston silently readies one of his throwing knives from it's hidden sheath, sown deftly along the seem of his right sleeve.

"Quickly now!" Wrinm gestures and starts carefully moving away from the camp, roughly following the 5 who walk away in parallel.
Finding humor in the tense moment, Pauladean quickly follows Wrinm along. For an old man, she thinks to herself, he sure has some quick moves!

If you wish to hustle as fast as you can to the warband, there is a very good chance you'll alert the camp of your presence.
If you wish to stealthily follow the warband, you'll need to make three stealth checks to climb down the mountain and follow the warband along the road. This choice allows you not to be found, but failure equals Peril damage. If you wish to go this way, make three stealth checks:

(Easy +20%) Stealth Test:
Failure on any tests results in 1d10+1 Peril taken per test failed.
