Lu-lu peeks from behind Drusilla, “Helllooo! I’m novice Tallulah, of the order of Aster, we were sent by the blackstaff specifically to you to find out about the threats to Waterdeep, we humbly request your wisdom.” Lu-lu bows her head in respect.

Cora spends the evening waiting patiently around the Dock Ward.

The monk shakes his head, "Fine, I can't refuse all you lovely ladies. Here is what I know; Evil’s twin hides its face for now. Expect that to change before winter’s end. Now then if you would leave me to my meditation I would greatly appreciate that."

Cora, the Dock Ward is generally a run down area. You can see many of the poorer people of Waterdeep live here. Warehouses, poorhouses, and tenements dominate much of the area. Streets are steep throughout, and few have space alongside for pedestrians. Wandering through the ward can be a bewildering journey without a guide. Except in the immediate vicinity of the piers, shop signs and advertising of any kind are rare, and warehouses and other businesses often have no sign at all. Streetlamps don’t fare well in the Dock Ward. Their candles, oils, and glass are too regularly stolen or smashed. The Guild of Chandlers and Lamplighters makes a halfhearted attempt to repair the streetlamps at the start of each season, but for most of the year, locals are forced to carry their own light when traveling these streets at night.

Vincent scratches the back of his head when the monk says ‘lovely ladies’, wondering if his long hair made it so that he looked like a woman... The beard should’ve told him otherwise... Maybe he’s blind.

Lu-lu bends down and places a kiss on the top of the monk’s head, “Thank you, Hlam, you’ve been a great help. We’ll leave you alone now.” She smiles warmly at the cranky monk before turning to the group, “Anything else we need? Otherwise, let’s get back to the blackstaff!”

Heishe, who stayed at the back to let Lu-lu handle it and also because Books was busy as hell yesterday, sorry, nods. "Our thanks for your assistance, we will depart to leave you in peace now."

Wow this place is a dump. Just like I remember it. Nice and unlit, too. Alright. Time to look for a killer.

(Ok. What am I supposed to do?)

Drusilla will depart from the mountain and report to Blackstaff with what the team had learned. "We were able to get information from Hlam. He said that evil's twin hides it's face for now, but that we should expect it to change before winter's end. He then told us to depart before we could ask him to go into further detail. He did not seem to care much about the defense of the city."

Heishe nods, face set in thoughtful lines. "Indeed, he was quite...patient. Most interesting. Know anyone with a twin who might be our evil?"

“It sounds a lot like those bawdy plays the mummers put on in the park.” A twinkle in Lu-li’s eyes, “The evil twin reveals themselves before stealing away the beautiful maiden, or throwing the good guy into the pit of demons!”

The Blackstaff begins laughing hearing your description of the monk. "I am honestly impressed he told you that much. He doesn't live on a mountain outside the city cause he likes people. I will discuss what this means with some of the Lords of Waterdeep. Well done, and welcome to the Grey Hands. I look forward to working with you. You will hear from me when I have another mission for you." 

Lu-lu and the gang walk home to find Cora’s note through Lif.

Lu-lu turns to the group, “What do you think we should do? I don’t know what the danger might be like, Heishe? Drusilla? Vincent?” Lu-lu is very worried about Cora, in more ways than one, wondering if this is related to her snappiness early today.

"Return home and wait for another assignment. We can't strike out against a danger that hasn't revealed itself. All we can do is ensure that we are ready for it when it chooses to reveal itself."

It didn’t take much to know Lulu had been very much worried for the rogue just by the paladins tone alone. “It’s just a scouting mission so I think she’ll be okay, Lulu. She’s probably done missions like that a million times before...” The older gentleman says in reassurance, then sighs a moment after. “We would risk messin’ her up if we try n’ interfere... Want me to stay up with you while we wait for her to come back?”

"I must agree with Vincent here. None of us are nearly as stealthy as Cora, in fact our presence would more than likely foil any attempts she's making to avoid notice. At the moment, the most you can do for her is to stay here and pray for her safe return."

Heishe nods. "Indeed. Sometimes just letting someone do what they do best is the right call." She stretches. "And speaking of that, I think I'm going to go see what rumors I can find in the taverns tonight."

As you all return, Lif takes your jackets and hangs them up and pulls out some chairs for ya. 

Cora, roll me a stealth check and either investigation or perception as you watch the Dock Ward for the elf killer. 

Heishe, for rumors, roll me any check you think would result in rumors. If you think a spell would help, feel free to use it and roll with advantage. 

Cora kept to the dark corners and shadows of the Dock Ward and kept her eyes peeled.
