Cobash's ears prick up when he hears mention of hammer and pitons. He steps into the shop a little more, "Not pitons. Need spikes for traps. Iron spikes if you have, otherwise wooden stakes will have to do."
Branra stands there for a second with a slightly puzzled look on his face, before grinning slightly and saying "Hold on, I'll be right back."
Outside, he goes up to Tarric and asks "I was trying to buy healing kits, but, the person wants to sell me both healing potions and kits, for 400 gold. I don't know if we have that much gold, or, if the potions are worth that much. Do you have knowledge of these healing potions?"
After Branra leaves the shop, the keep turns to Cobash and says; "Oh, then I guess you wont need 5 sets of hammers and pitons. Hmm, alright; I'll take five gold off, how is 395?"
Tarric looks down to Branra. "Well, I guess that depends on how many potions you were trying to get." He thinks for a moment. "You know, you lot are pretty new to things aren't you. Hmm; maybe I should do the talking for you all." He climbs down and heads into the shop. "So, um...maa...sii...um keep; what are we looking at in regards to our young friends here?"
The shopkeep replies; "Five Healing Kits and a Healing Potion each, plus a Hammer and some Iron Spikes; which I'd have to go and get. 395 gold total." Tarric speaks up, a slight tone of disgust in his voice. "These youngens don't need near that much goods; not more than one Healing Kit each, and only two or three Healing Potions total. Anything more than that, and they would be best off to run away than continue. Plus, if you are going to charge that much for walking to another shop; you can cut the Hammer and Spikes out of the deal, we can walk there ourselves!" Affronted the shopkeep replies; "You wanna drop the price, that's all this is! Fine, two hundred and fifty for five kits and three potions!"

The shopkeep is halfway through explaining to Addi that; "Like all good scars, these come from..." When Luna calls them out as a liar. "How dare you!" The keep replies. "There is no lying when it comes to business, just negotiation." They look very fluttered and after a moment adds. "Fine, I was asking for well beyond the necessary value of the items; but its not like you lot likely couldn't afford it. You look ready for combat and danger, and you aren't already in the Arena, so you must be on a special mission. Special missions call for special funds; and with an experienced guide like that man there..." pointing at Tarric "...you are probably going somewhere dangerous enough that you'll not be coming back; so what do you need the extra coin for?"
After a moment, to let the anger seep out of their face, they say; "Fine. I'll offer a..." this next word looks like it hurts them greatly to say "...FAIR... price." They move among the shop and gather up the supplies, before heading behind the counter. "Healing Potions are... only... fifty gold each; plus... five... gold... for the Healing Kits. Three potions and five kits come to one hundred and seventy five." A look of disgust comes across their face. "Gods I hate this place." They say in frustration.
"Maam." The shopkeep says. "And the name is Sedna; not that anyone asked." She says, continuing to rudely and roughly throw the supplies onto the counter.
Moments later Tarric returns and approaches Addi. He whispers to her; "The chest only has a hundred gold in it, do you have the rest?"
Branra walks over to Tarric and hands him the money that he had taken from the chest when he first entered the shop. "Not sure how much is here, but, these are the coins I originally grabbed to buy the healing kits."
"What's with the coin handing and looks? No! Don't tell me you don't have enough after all of that!?!" Sedna looks royally pissed. "You know what?! Fine! We going to do this, then we are doing this right here!!" Suddenly the shopkeep picks up a tray containing a dozen Healing Potions and slams it on the counter. "Put whatever coin you have on the table and you can have the rest; but one of you has to fight me; right here, right now!!"
Sedna rips off her apron revealing her muscular frame going all the way along her thick body. "If I can't go to the fight, I'm having the fight right here; and you lot look like the type that would sate that for me!" She looks the group over. "Which one of you has the guts? Throw down your weapons and lets do this!"

Cobash leans his halberd up against the wall, places his shield and hand axe on the floor next to it, then walks calmly over to the irate shopkeep. "Take deep breath, shopkeep. No arena here. No glory here. You wish for fight, go to arena. Want business, we can make deal." (Not sure if you would prefer Intimidation: 18, or Persuasion: 16)
Sedna shakes her head. "If only it was so easy." She almost laughs to herself. "Sadly my 'patron' wont let me leave." She says motioning towards the back area. "Can't leave the shop at all; wish I could. I'd much rather be in the arena than stuck here forced to make healing supplies for others doing the fighting." Sedna seems calmer, but still very angry. "If you give me a taste of combat I'll make sure you are healed up; but I just can't take it anymore!" A tear can be seen in the corner of her eye.
(If Cobash overhears the conversation; they could try to correct the shopkeep's mistake.)
"I'm always up to watch the tournament, it is quite the show. What do the rest of you say?" Tarric asks the group.
Luna says; "Sure I don't mind, I have heard that there are really strong people there."
Cobash's ears prick up when he hears mention of hammer and pitons. He steps into the shop a little more, "Not pitons. Need spikes for traps. Iron spikes if you have, otherwise wooden stakes will have to do."

Luna overhears the shopkeep's words and; something about them sounds false.
Luna shyly looks in thru the door and says; "The shop keep is Lying."
