Darla finds herself a comfortable spot to settle on deck, setting herself up with her Uilleann Pipes, and begins to play one of the shanties she knows for the crew.

It's a calm, mellow melody, good for the end of the day, though it usually has a bit of percussion accompaniment.

As the night comes over the ship, Usul spends a bit of time still wandering around, enjoying the sites and smells of being on the ocean. At some point he'll make his way down to the crew quarters to see what games they're playing, and will watch a couple rounds to get a feel for it before maybe trying his hand.

The almost melancholic melody of the pipes wafts around the whole ship. Everyone on the shops benefits from having a calmer uplifted spirit. Let's go ahead and give everyone in the party inspiration!

Just before Usul heads down, the Captain stops him. She says, "I meant to tell you earlier, but I wanted to give you and your party use of the guest cabin to bunk in as a way of showing my gratitude for agreeing to help." She's points across the way to indicate where she's talking about, and then she says, "see you all brought and early. We'll be seeing in to port tomorrow." And then she walks back towards her cabin.

Downstairs, a game of cards is getting underway. One of the crew members, the one who invited you, sees you coming down and he gets a sly smile on his face and yells over, "Oy! So, you made it."

Stanley looks out over the rail of the ship, in slight wonder at how he's ended up where he is.  He takes in the smell of the salt water, and begins to think of possible ways magic could assist them.  Arcana check:  11 

He's nervous about what's to come, but he's also quietly excited at the possibilities before him.

Stanley knows that there are scrolls and potions out there that allow magic users to cast spell they haven't learned and couldn't learn.

A bit disappointed the game is purely a game of chance, Usul says "Well... I guess we could draw a card or two and see what happens."

Snurk will find a water barrel and get inside it.

Usul definitely notices Boerth switching the card in his hand, even though no one else at the table appears to notice.

Usul watches Boerth switch cards, but plays fair this hand, drawing from the top 6 ((What did the slight of hand do? Does it just basically equal the card number?))... Drawing a lower card it says laughing innocently "6?! haha! Too bad! Next time we'll have to take two like he did! That's a good idea!" with a big grin, acting like that's all part of the game, and putting in his coin to the loss with a shrug

Boerth looks incredulous. "What are you talking about? Are you accusing me if cheating?" Then he stands up into an aggressive position.

((The slight of hands was just to see if you saw him cheat or not. I should've stayed today he drew a higher card, bit I'm kind of just improvising this...lol))

(As Usul is playing cards below deck) Darla, after a couple of songs and some singing, puts her pipes away and looks around the deck, seeing Stanley looking contemplative, staring out over the water. Walking up to her human friend, she calls out to him as she approaches, joining him at the rail. "Ah can practically hear tha' brain o' yers churnin' away, dear. What's on yer mind?"

It'll take him about 30 minutes of searching the ship, but he does find a barrel that he can dip himself into.
