Nalos looks at Snurk incredulously and shakes his head. He says, "I don't like the idea of being someone's errand boy, myself, but I am a man of my word. We'll deliver the letter."
As you all follow the directions that Capt Three Earrings gave you to get to the smithy, you see all kinds of people walking about. This is clearly a very busy port. Lots of sailors flying under the flag of the Clovis Concord. There are also a lot of merchants and many other unscrupulous looking individuals ducking in and out of the shadows of alleyways and such. After a relatively short walk (maybe 20 minutes), you make your way through the city to where you were told to go.
As you approach you see a middle-aged human hammering away on a red-hot piece of iron on an anvil. He stops hammering as he sees you approaching and says, "Morning. What can I do for you?"
Nalos says, "Morning. We were asked to deliver this for you," and he hands him the letter. With a quizzical expression he takes it and before he reads it he starts to say, "Is this a shopping li..." then, as he begins to read, he blanches. He gives the party a good hard look, then says, "Okay, then. Give me one moment." And he disappears into a shed-like room nearby. When he comes back out, he's holding three helmets. Each resembles a helm of steel and glass resembling a cage wrapped around a fishbowl. "I figure the triton and the frog won't need one. I call them breathing bubbles. They'll give you one hour's worth of air and they'll recharge once a day at dawn." A bit more tensley, with a tinge of fear, he says, "Now, tell the Captain I said 'thank you'. Will you be needing anything else or are we done here?"
"An hour..."mumbles Stanley to himself. He looks at Darla to check her expression.

Nalos thanks the smith as you all leave to head back to the ship. Did you want to stop anywhere on the way back or just go back to ask the Captain for some coin?
As one of the nicest dock/harbors in the region, it also has some nice taverns. And, there's never a tavern too far from the docks. A quick walk down the wharf brings Darla to the Flying Whale tavern. It is a large half-timbered building, with a large cellar. A collection of exotic drinking vessels rests upon a long shelf behind the bar. The barkeep is a friendly female halfling named Mellia Roper.
As you walk in, she smiles a warm smile and says, "Hey there! What brings you in to the Flying Whale?"

Darla smiles brightly at the woman, giving a quick look around the place(perception: 17 ) as she makes her way to the bar. "A good day tae ye, dear. Ah'm lookin' fur some info, an' Ah suppose a pint would ne'er hurt me, aye?" She laughs a bit, hopping up to sit at the counter.

"What kind of info are you looking for?" she asks while pouring some ale into a nicer glass than most of the taverns Darla has found herself in, before.
"Would ye have happened tae hear about a caravan, larger than average, around forty-five strong last I'd seen'em. Mostly halflin', but all singers, dancers, actors, musicians an' th' like?" Darla asks, taking a drink, sighing happily as she sets it back to the table. "If they'd've passed through, woulda been anytime in th' last few months at least. Tends tae be a spectacle. Caravan sets up an' puts on shows outside o' town, stageplays an' th' like. Ye'd of seen or heard a good number o' th' rest makin' th' rounds through the local taverns, playin' songs an' such."

For now, Usul is just excitedly following the group around the big city, keeping his eyes out for other urchins or pickpockets, as he'd know how they'd operate. Tagging along with the group back to the ship he's curious how much the capt will allow for 'supplies.'
Darla frowns a bit, but quickly schools her expression, taking a long swig of her drink. "Well, better'en Ah had a few minutes ago. Much appreciated darlin'." She winks at the barkeep, then finishes her drink, leaving enough coin for the drink and a very nice tip. She steps back out of the Flying Whale onto the busy street, considering if she should ask around a bit more, but knowing they're on a bit of a time crunch decides to head back and catch up with the rest of them.

For now, Usul is just excitedly following the group around the big city, keeping his eyes out for other urchins or pickpockets, as he'd know how they'd operate. He was pretty excited about even one hour of bubble usage, and is now keeping a low profile as Darla talks with the barkeep about performing.
Checking around as they walk, Usul definitely noticed a handful of street urchins, mostly dirty looking gnome children, pick-pocketing some of the pedestrians. He was seeing them do a handful of slight-of-hand tricks and ducking away into alleyways before anyone could be any the wiser for it. If anyone did ever suspect they were being robbed, and turned around to see who it was, they wouldn't have ever seen them they were so quick.
