Sylyra looked to be ready to accept Ola's invitation to split the group, but when Eonis convinces the paladin to stick together, he simply glares at the cleric and holds his tongue.
Eonis heads towards the temple to look for the survivor, muttering under her breath about “ambush at any time... a divided force isn’t optimal... rarely worth the risk...” When they arrive she will ask about the survivor, noting it was the senior Doomguide who sent them to do so.
"But if expect an ambush and split the party, you can then bait them into a trap with those that split flanking in from behind," Grenk retorted then laughed. "You're a little spunky, good when we get out there but we're not likely to find resistance here. Maybe when we get to the dock but a few drinks tend to lighten moods... and loosen lips. "
OOC: Added a potion of healing to Arnald and Uragum's inventory.
The Temple of Kelemvor would not be seen as an impressive structure to many. Nowhere close to the size of Tyr's temple in Phlan, it has a hybrid look of a church and a crypt. Though the interior is grey and drab, it is clean.
Inside, a disheveled man with wild hair is tied to a chair in front of an open window. Deep, scabbed scratches cover his face and his hands are wrapped with bloody bandages. His eyes dart around the room almost without seeing, mumbling to himself.
A young acolyte in grey robes changes linens on a nearby bed with restraints dangling from its sides.
The boy nods at your entrance, "You may call me Elden, gentle masters. If you have any questions, I have seen to the man's care for since last night."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Eonis makes a point of breathing deeply, displaying overt signs of life, and takes a deep drink of water from her water-skin, before approaching. She nods a polite acknowledgment to Elden, and approaches the man tied to the chair, kneeling down slowly to meet him at eye level. "Hello there," she says somewhat flatly, watching his eyes and reactions to see if there is any awareness of the outside world in him, to gauge whether there might be hope for communication. She will also make use of her Herbalism Kit and her training in Medicine to analyze the man's condition and possibly provide some herbal remedy to aid in his focus and clarity, her natural and trained ability to read others' via Insight, and her own experiences dealing with trauma. "We have some questions for you, and I think you could help us."

Ola stopped entertaining the idea of becoming a true healer some time ago, but knew enough to be of assistance when real healers were at work. She was ready to help Eonis if needed (help action) but mostly came to hear the words of the witness by herself, without any interpretation. So, she was listening.

If the Help action applies for Advantage, secondary rolls to the prior, taking the higher of the two:

Medicine 24 or 24
Herbalism Kit 12 +2 + relevant stat modifier per DM, or 12 +2 + relevant stat modifier per DM
If help applies the Herbalism Kit check is 2 points higher.
"If the man be aggitated then I'll remain outside the door. Sometimes, seein a big guy sets people off or shuts them down so they no talk. I'll just be around the corner. Scream, if ya need me to restrain him." he says before the others enter the room.
The man's eyes widen and his breathing heaves as he answers Eonis by rambling, "The eyes, the eyes of the dracolich, it sees me...it is coming..."
He is deeply tanned, and has rough hands with dirt beneath his fingernails, suggesting that he is a farmer or some other sort of outdoor laborer. He has several wounds that have been dressed and tended to.
For Eonis and Ola:
One of the man's wounds is a cut from a small bladed weapon. The other two significant wounds are badly bruised contusions from some blunt object.
Based on her earlier attempts at diagnosis, insight and treatment via Herbalism -
Insight 20 or 13
Medicine 24 or 8
Herbalism Kit 12 +2 + relevant stat modifier per DM, or 14 +2 + relevant stat modifier per DM
- Eonis tries to determine the best method, whether it is a specific herbal remedy to clear the mind, or a specific conversational approach, to keep the man focused and open to dialogue. "Where did you see this Dracolich? Tell us, and we can help. You are safe here. You are surrounded by clerics, healers, who will let no harm come to you. I am a priest of Tyr, lord of justice. We will see to this matter. What happened to you? What did you see?"
On the wounds, she assumes the temple staff has properly treated and disinfected them already, but if she notices otherwise she will mention that to them. She does bring it to her allies' attention, regardless, noting: "Lacerations as well as contusions. This man was injured by both a small slashing or piercing weapon as well as bludgeoning force."
"I would assume it was not the dracolich himself," softly added Ola, "or we would not be talking with the man. Could be even some bandits that got him somewhere on the road". She left Eonis questioning the man (it did not look like arms and armour made him more talkative) and asked Elden (very quietly in the corner): "Do you know by any chance if someone was sent to that village the man is from? If not to see if it is fine, then at least to tell about his conditions?"
The madman repeats his phrase, almost mimicking the words and intonation perfectly, "The eyes, the eyes of the dracolich, it sees me...it is coming..."
Elden answers Ola softly, "No, none of us know where he came from. I have overheard him speak of his village being destroyed, but little beyond that. He simply arrived in the graveyard yesterday, having wandered in on the road from the west, bearing wounds that were at least a day old."
For Eonis:
The wounds have been cared for well. As for breaking through to the man, you are unsure. He does seem to recognize that you are in the room speaking with him, but has barely shown recognition to any of your questions, one way or the other.
"Meaning, even if it were bandits, they attacked him back in the village." She looked at the man with a pity in her eyes: "If priests here could not restore his mind, do not think any of us can. Try if you must, but I think it is time to talk to Aleyd Burral. Shall we go?"
“Where is this man’s village? How far from the city?” Eonis asks the Kelemvorite. “Did someone recognize him, or was he able to describe where he came from? Or did you just infer the village he came from based on the direction he came from?”
OOC: Depending on the results of her earlier insight and medicine rolls, Eonis will either spend additional time with the man to try to coax out information, or, if her rolls provide a judgment that it is hopeless to do so, she will not. Let me know if the character sees potential in continuing with discussion with the man.

“Hmm, perhaps you are right, Ola,” Eonis says. “They’re caring for him well. It might be the best thing we can do for him is to seek our answers elsewhere. Let’s go.”
OOC: I still have the wand of magic detection in my equipment, but Uragum said in the post-adventure posts of the last thread that he would hold onto it.
Sylyra steps out of the room. "Uragum, let me see that wand. I'd like to make sure this madman isn't under some kind of enchantment."
