Ola nodded to Sylyra, thinking about something else, though. "As far as I know seafarers traditions, you do not give the same name to different ships. That means, real "Audacity" was shipwrecked somewhere around, if her parts were brought here. Can not imagine the ritual, that can turn the whole ship into a ghost, but those who destroyed it might know. Should we survive - this is probably our lead."
"I will try to talk to the people on the other side. Would you show me the way, Elisande?" Whether the girl helped or not, Ola will try to talk to those villagers still busy with the chores. She would ask about "Audacity" (not hoping for answeres, though) but mostly try to convince locals, that there might be an attack on the island this night.
Sylyra looks at Ola. "What do you know of another ship named Audacity?" She tells him one of the beams in the barn has the name painted on the side, which she assumed had previously been flotsam. Clearly, he had not been listening to her before. The elf accepts her response, but does not comment further.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Learning more about the history of the ship, the original Audacity, could give us more insight into this phantom version of the same," Eonis agrees. "If Ola is going to speak with the villagers about it, I suppose I will go look at the wreckage from Audacity we saw in the barn, again. I don't know what I'll be able to find from it, but any clues could prove useful. If anyone would like to accompany me, you're welcome to. Lunaman, I don't suppose you know how the wreckage of a ship called Audacity ended up in the barn where the goats dwell?"
After learning what she can from the Lunaman, she will go the barn to investigate the wreckage there as best she can for any insight into what might have destroyed the ship. (Rolling a few of what might be appropriate checks)
OOC: Ola is going to the homes to try and talk to the other villagers, while Eonis is going to the barn to investigate further. Are Arnald, Sylyra, and Uragum going to go with one of them, or further split up to cover different ground? It is currently the afternoon.

Arnald will watch Ola and Eonis head in their separate directions while he looks from one to the other, clearly unsure of who to follow. After a few looks back and forth he seems to come to a decision and follows Eonis.
Before Sylyra heads to the dark wood to try to drum up some animal scouts, he still wants to visit with the crones mentioned, so which way to the fire pit?
Eonis does not protest the party splits if they elect to do so, either because the village is small and open enough that if anyone faces trouble she is confident they can regroup quickly, or just that she is adapting to the group's preferred methods more than she expected to.
OOC: I will bot Uragum and assume he is going with Ola.
ARNALD & EONIS:
The lunaman returns to muttering when Eonis asks about Audacity, the mere mention of the ship causing the man to lock himself inside his memories.
The barn, when you return to it, is still largely empty. The word Audacity is badly faded, and even though you have seen it before, finding the beam it is painted on takes a few minutes of work. The beam is old, cracked, and weathered, but provides no clue as to where it came from or how it got here.
Around the barn are a number of heavy sacks of grain, a barrel full of shoddy tools, and several bales of hay. The goats leave you to your search for the most part, with the exception of the milky eyed doe that seems to watch Arnald's every step with its old, blind eyes.

Even with Elisande in tow, you find the residents of the island unwilling to converse. They shuffle away as you enter their sight, moving their children into their homes and closing the doors behind them.
Most of the hovels here seem to be inhabited, but there are a few that seem dilapidated and uninhabited.

SYLYRA:
The fire pit is lit when you arrive, if only with a few flames. A large metal bucket full of water is boiling over the fire at the moment. Nearby is a small wooden pavilion with a number of stump stools under it.
Three elderly women are huddled beneath the pavilion near the fire as they tend it, obtaining minimal protection from the increasing rain. The women reek of fish, even from a distance. Their long, stringy gray hair sticks to their wet faces as they cease their conversation and turn to stare at you in near unison.
"At least they are inside now,"commented Ola without much satisfaction in her voice, though. "Elisande, is there someone who others will listen to? The ... bad people are coming tonight" (Ola did not want to frightened the child with undead stories just yet) "they might hurt your people here. We will help all we can, but there are just five of us, it is difficult to protect the whole village. So, is there someone who would want to fight for the village?"
Sylyra approaches the women, fighting his natural inclination to let his repulsion alter his facial features or cause his step to falter. He gives the crones a little head nod of recognition and greeting before plowing right in, speaking up over the sound of the rain. "I am Sylyra Wasanthi, originally from the West, but most recently from Phlan. Some companions and I have traveled to your village with a warning. We believe a great danger is bound for this island. The lunaman is a survivor of this danger from another place. In fact, this danger has hit several locations along the coast of the Moonsea, leaving only death and destruction behind, and looking at the arrangement of the locations, this village is very likely its next target. We are here to help fight this danger, but if your villagers have any way of hiding or fighting themselves, it will help. From what the child has said, you three are a kind of council that helps lead the village. Will you help us save your home?" He stops talking, waiting for their response, and watching their body language for any unspoken communication.
The strange goat sniffs at the rations, but does not eat, simply staring at Arnald as he moves about the barn.

"The leaders we are not. We are the sisters," one of the crones speaks slowly as all three stand and walk to the fire pit. One grabs a ladle and fishes water out of the boiling pot, while another approaches with some sort of cooked meat resting on the warm stones at the side of the fire. "Care for fresh water and cooked food?" the first asks, before answering any more of your questions.
Eonis runs her gauntlet clad hands over the piece of the ship bearing the name Audacity, unsure what specifically she was looking for, except perhaps some divine insight from Tyr. After a bit she looks to Arnald, during his task of feeding the goat, and says, "I have gained no deeper knowledge of what destroyed the ship from this wreckage. Perhaps we should look elsewhere. I don't know what it will reveal, but I don't think anyone was searching the smokehouse. I will go there to see what I can learn. You are welcome to come, Arnald."

Eonis heads to the Smokehouse, with Arnald, not sure what they expect to find specifically, but in this strange village, she tries to keep her mind open to non-traditional sources of information. She will take a look around the Smokehouse for anything unusual or of note. Perception: 11
Uragum will head with the others to the smoke house. "As much as I'd like to talk with the Crones, if we can't get the villagers to help out then there may be no Crones tomorrow. Maybe this big guy can help." Uragum says and he follows the others.
Afternoon turns to evening as the sun crests high noon and begins to fall in the sky. The rain has picked up, drenching the island as the weather turns colder.
ARNALD, EONIS, OLA & URAGUM:
The four of you meet, spotting each other as you near the larger home that Elisande pointed out as the smokehouse.
The structure is twice as large as most of the homes on the island, with no windows and a single door. In front of the house is a large, bearded man whose arms are not the same length. His right arm is much longer than the left, and at least twice as muscled. He is in the midst of gutting a large fish when you arrive.
"Ulburto, dese Outsides wants to speak wit you," Elisande greets him. The man looks up and simply stares.
"Good, good," one of the crones encourages as you eat. "All of it is perfectly fine, do not worry," another giggles.
The water tastes ghastly, and the meat is cooked but flavorless. The crones' voices pierce the muted atmosphere of the pouring rain.
"Now...it is our belief that you are lying to us," the third woman says when you have eaten to their liking. Another hovers near you, filling your nostrils with the rank stench, saying, "However, we so rarely get visitors. We might be willing to entertain you, if you could...entertain us."
