Naivara nods, taking her at her word and beginning to move through town towards their intended destination. "We'll meet you... at the front of town towards the east then." She also keeps looking around to see if there are any more important landmarks she should keep track of.
Can not talk for Sylcan, but Vilana would pay that man no more attention than to any other stranger in the town. Right now her intention is to get to the inn, get a room, hear some local news (and learn where this "local" is), get the proper dress and then decide what to do about total amnesia.
She would politely smile to the strange question of the cheerful man and admit, they both are not familiar with the place, just arrived here and about to get some accommodation in the Inn.

as your two companions turn back, you continue on down the path to the South. About 20 minutes later you come up to the sensation that you’ve been following. It has been getting stronger the further south you go, clearly not moving away from you any longer. Eventually you come to where a heavily muscled man is standing where the path turns back east. The man has a shield and is wearing chain mail armor with a long sword at his hip. He looks to be a little impatient. As you walk up he glances in your direction but makes no threatening move. The shield has your attention though. He draws you like a magnet. You have the very strong sense that it belongs to you.

Shaking his head, Sylcan replied, "I recognize this village no more than you do." Frowning to himself, he continued, "As for special plans, I have none. Except... I'd like to see if there's a local tavern, or someplace where I can get something to drink, later this evening. However, I agree with you. I think we should head towards the inn first, before anything."
(To Kierro and Vilana)
Having agreed with Vilana, Sylcan was heading west, towards the inn, with Vilana when a cheerful man with brown hair stepped out of the shrine and asked them if they were familiar with the little village, as he was not. Agreeing with Vilana's reply, he added, "If you're free, why don't you stop by the inn later this evening?" Winking at the stranger, he continued, "I'm sure you would find out some information about this village there - and maybe get a drink while you're at it." Laughing to himself, without waiting for a reply, he continued walking down the road towards the inn with Vilana.
Honor crosses her arms and looks the man up and down, trying to see if he's at all familiar, or if he recognizes her. "Hey."
(yes, human)
"Hey." The man agrees with a nod. "You aren't Walter, but not surprising, since he seldom is on time, and rarely even remembers where we are to meet up." He gives you a smile to take the bite from his words. "Name's Higgul. Can I help you with something?" His easy manner and unguarded way of speech puts a bit of a contrast to the thick-muscled biceps he sports and the many scars he has to show for his experience so far. "Was suppose to go hunting with Walter, the lowlife that he is, but he doesn't seem to have wanted to show up today. Can I give you a hand with something?"
You continue on as the two wizardly-garbbed individuals move towards the inn. Crossing the road you head to the Town Hall. Stepping inside you find a female town guard standing at a counter near one of the two doors. she looks to be going through some gear laid out on the table there.
"Can I help you with something?" The guard asks as you enter, glancing up from her work.
Tessa, as you get up from the table, you spot two individuals come into the inn, both wearing wizardly robes.
Vilana and Sylcan Naïlo... You enter the Stone Hill Inn to find morning patrons eating breakfast. They all glance up at you in interest, clearly not use to strangers. A halfling sits at a table to one side of the room, and has just risen from her chair as you entered.
"Please have a seat." A serving woman tells Vilana and Sylcan. "I will be with you shortly."
Mylene continues towards Phandalin with Walter, keeping an eye out for Hibbul on the way. "What does your friend look like?"
OOC: Let me know if/when she arrives at the city, and where. I'm flexible if you want to get some PCs to interact.
"Oh, Higgul?" Walter asks. "He's as dumb as a box of rocks, but strong as a bull. I'll have no problem getting him to see reason." He considers it a moment. "As for what he looks like... Never really thought about it much before. He's bigger than me, with huge biceps. He wears chain mail, always clinking around and scaring off the game you see. He uses a longsword and shield, and is piss pour with his crossbow."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sylcan Naïlo: (In the Inn)
Entering the inn, Sylcan was greeted by the eyes of several patrons, and a serving woman who asked them to take a seat. Nodding to the serving woman, Sylcan glanced around the room, looking for a place to sit where he would be near a wall or, preferably, a corner. (Perception check: 11)

Mylene Durza
"He sounds like he will be hard to miss, then," Mylene says, keeping an eye out for this bull of a man wearing chain mail that Walter described.
"Ok..." The thug says, pulling out his shortsword and tossing it to you. He also tosses you a dagger. "Where you are is Phandalin, in our base, which is under some ruins in the town."
Filing the name Phandalin away for later, Leto needs to know more. "Tell me more. Who is Glass Staff? What is it that you are doing here? What is this beast that will be coming soon?"Leto asks, hoping the thug will prove himself useful by providing information.

"Yes please, madam. I've become lost, and have found myself in Phandalin with no idea of the surrounding area and nothing to work from. Is there a map of the region that I can look at, or any tasks for the town that would help the residents?"
Vilana noted that she shared that trait with Sylcan as well - the wish to sit in a way, that to stay least exposed while be able to see others. If there is a table in a corner that allowed just that, then most likely that would be the one both chose.
"A question, usually considered inappropriate, but - do you have any money? I suppose that dagger you are caring was found in the the ruins, can it be a few coins were around as well? Not that I am asking to share - I am not - but should continue our journey together, need to know what resources we have."

Latrius:
(To be clear, I just wanted to see if Honor was compelled in some way, not to see if she was lying about anything.)
Latrius shrugs. "Fair enough."
He’ll start off to wherever the convoy was least seen, begrudgingly slowing down a bit if he outpaces Naivara.
(Great, my iPad is now autocorrecting Latrius to ‘Latrius.)

"She can catch up later. I doubt she’ll complain if we do her work for her, and we can at least scout ahead first."
