"Nope, just the beach." Emmy says with a shake of her head. "Was going to try to get through the trees, but then I saw you guys heading in with the ship and decided to just meet you first."

Leto, thinking that it hurts him none at all to have his familiar scout inside the temple, sends a mental order to it as they discuss the reasons why it might be worth starting a war. He commands his familiar, currently as a raven, to fly to the nearest woods and disappear whilst amongst the trees and to then fly back invisibly to the entrance of the temple where it is to then shift into a tiny forest spider to begin walking through the temple. Though it should try to be unseen ((stealth 24)), Leto hopes that a spider climbing through the walls of a jungle temple would not arouse suspicion regardless. Leto will try to peek through it's eyes, or question it, often enough to know what is happening with it as it explores.

„Since the captain doesn‘t need our help, i‘ll go and relax on the beach...“ Nadariel tells the others. He looks around if he can find a coconut or banana or some other nice snack, before he finds a nice spot to watch the ocean.
While lying in the sun he sends a message to his dragon: „ Would you be so kind and keep an eye on the forrest, i got the feeling someone will do something rash and start a fight.“
If i am a bit loose with the message spell, tell me please. I want to give my dragon as much freedom as i can, but still have her within reach when i need to.
Also can i minor illusion myself a little roof/sunscreen to give myself some shadow while on the beach?
Kyrian looks at the group with an incredulous expression in his face. He draws his sword and sticks it in the sand beside him, ready to be used at a moments notice. "You are seriously going to let the over sized goblin bully us into doing what he wants? We are Dragonlords, we go where we please. If these....warriors, attack us it will be at their own demise."

Kierro nods in agreement to Latrius. "If they attack us, we'll defend ourselves, for sure. But there's no point to starting a large scale conflict with them, especially not with the others in the cross-fire. It's less him bullying us and more wanting to stay out of a battle we don't need to fight."
He does a double-take. "Overpopulation isn't a valid reason to kill people - there's infinitely better solutions than mass-murder!"
"It seems we are off to war..."Leto says, grinning a bit at the chance to have some fun. "Though I was hoping to get to our destination sooner than later, we could use a distraction. Though I see no point in speaking to them to give them warning at this point." Peering through his familiar's eyes, he tries to get a feel for his new foes.

Detecting the obvious way they are watching you would be a perception check. Detect Magic only has a range of 30 feet after all. Anyone with passive perception better than 15 would notice the other flying creatures in the air. They are paying close enough attention to the group that it would be fairly obvious, passive insight of 10 or better, to recognize them as familiars. At any time you would likely be able to see 3 of the winged creatures. Some of them are owls, some are Tressyms, some are hawks.

Latrius sighs.
”The answer isn’t always murder more people, Kyrian. And that’s coming from me.”

Esmerelda saunters up behind Latrius with a half-frown. "And under what circumstances do you think it would be the answer to murder more people?"
“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
„Overpopulation....“

Latrius swears under his breath.
”Guess I am headed inward, someone needs to prevent you two idiots from starting a war.”
To Esmerelda:
Latrius gives her a cold stare.
”When I think it’s justified.”

Latrius will head off towards the temple, knowing he has a better chance of talking sense into the gith than his fellow dragonlords.

Fesyss shrugs. "If you say so boss."
Everyone
A moment later everyone realizes that Latrius is gone. He simply faded into the shadows and disappeared. Do you do anything about it?
