“Interesting,” Mylene says. “Why Latrius in particular, I wonder? I haven’t too much to report, Kierro, aside from meeting up with my soldiers, on our way we spotted signs of both plant monsters and over large spiders, but we haven’t engaged with either. Seems to be a troubled region.” Mylene doesn’t sound particularly concerned for the welfare of the residents, more as if she was describing low property values. 

Latrius:

‘Latrius’s jaw tightens.

"Very well, if that’s what interests you."

He lowers his voice so the rest of the party can’t hear him (hopefully).

Tessa and Troop

Having been reunited with the others, Tessa moves to check on Venomfang and the cultists. She renters the tower and tucks her self away in an out of the way nook adjacent to an exit. She calls to Vraskia and Norlir to join her near the exit. Once there she sits back to watch the interaction with Venomfang and the others.

Naivara follows the rest, on edge as they get closer to the cult.

"More thugs, who would think," was the only comment Vilana made about arriving party. But the dragon here was far more interesting attraction (and the holder of the items too). So her attention was on the lair and it's inhabitants. She followed Tessa inside but tried to state inconspicuous, waiting for events to unfold.

Tessa

Upon seeing Vilana enter and knowing that Sylcan is never to far from her, Tessa signals to Vilana in an attempt to draw her over to the area she is waiting in, hopefully with Vraskia and Norlur if they accompanied her.

With the dragon speaking with Latrius, Vraskia and Norlur would definitely come over to Tessa.

For everyone else, there are 5 human cultists, 2 of them clerics, 1 a sorcerer, 1 a druid, and 1 a warlock. There is also the half-dragon who seems to wear the equipment of a rogue, dark clothing, rapier, and crossbow.

The inside of the tower is large and open, with the roof torn away to give access to the sky above.

What is everyone doing?

Naivara just stands to the side, staring at the floor with Vale standing next to her.

Tessa is energetically, yet subtlety motioning to Vilana, and if he is present Sylcan to join her and two of the cultists by an alternative exit from the tower.

<If they join her, I'd like to move their conversation to a private thread. If they don't, she will move forward with her plan alone and will work with Vraskia and Norlur alone.>

Kierro leans against a nearby wall, watching and listening to the cultists (and maybe Tessa) and looks around for anything interesting of note that he can see/hear while he waits for the dragon to finish.

Perception: 23

There is a large treasure chest, near the dragon and Latrius, with coins all around it. Whatever is pulling each of you is inside the treasure chest, which is open, the lid torn off.

Sylcan Naïlo:

Sylcan notices Tessa's gestures, and glances at Vilana before he slips away from the others to join her.

 Honor

Honor's going to sidle up to Kierro and also lean against the wall, arms crossed. "Does laying low include ignoring the presence of followers of Tiamat, in Pelor's eyes?" she murmurs.

Kierro frowns. “I definitely want to do something about it, but I think that if we do anything, it should wait until after we find the items we’re looking for. We’ll be a bit stronger.” He replies quietly. “Were you thinking of joining the endeavor?”

Latrius:

Latrius continues speaking, now louder for the group's benefit.

"Now, I hesitate to ask this of you for fear of exploiting your great generosity, but some 7 of my friends here are drawn to various relatively worthless items in your hoard.  I would consider it a great honor if you would allow my companions to retrieve their items, perhaps with some repayment if they can manage it.  I myself will make sure they take nothing but the items they are drawn to, along with whatever terms you might set them."

Honor

"Something, yes, but it depends on how many wish to -- and how many would join the other side." Honor looks around for Tessa, but doesn't spot her. She continues, still at a whisper, "We could ask some of the others --" she stops as Latrius speaks up, waiting to see what will happen next.

Vilana definitely joined Tessa, first, to stay away from the dragon (and Tessa had the right idea about how to do that), second (though the most important) - curiosity, little halfling knew what is going on.

Dragon.

The dragon looks really pained as Latrius makes his request. She shakes her head and grumbles to herself.  "Fine, I do not understand why I am allowing such a thing, as I never have allowed a soul to touch what is mine, let alone take it from me..." She shakes her head again, but then gives a great sigh of acrid breath.  "Your friends may approach one-at-a-time to take what is calling to them.  Each may only retrieve one item though, no more..."  She settles back as she watches the group.

Latrius:

Latrius breathes out a faint sigh of relief.

"Thank you, lady Venomfang.  Your generosity is indeed legendary."

Naivara:

Naivara darts her eyes around, but decides to approach first, leaving Vale where he is as she approaches.
