Hulil glances back towards you, amused. "Fair enough. All that's in here is the treasure Urgon Wenth brought back from Eiselcross, my own coin, and this parchment paper." She waves the piece of parchment in the air, waiting for any of you to take a hold of it. "It's a written record of the payment the human merchant - Irven Liel, it looks like - gave me for the blue vial. Oh. It also has where he's taking written on it."
Knowing this needed to get moved onward, and figuring he is probably already at risk just by being here, Cade stops his retreat, squares his shoulders, and scuttles forward to snatch the paper from her hand. He steps back several feet before he hands the paper to Nixco, who he sees as leading the group at this point. He then moves behind Nixco and peeks back out at the dwarf to see what reaction she had to his snatching the paper.
"As you are already sick please put the powder somewhere safe, we will take back Urgons goods for the village leaders.
The items are listed as a dagger, a scroll case, a jade statuette, a quiver of twenty arrows, a silver ring set with a jasper, and two blue glass vials. So give us that, I have no interest in your money, and we will go immediately to the in at Palebank."
"Already got promised free drinks for solving this so just give the lass what she wants so that we can move on and find the cure." Thurakk says as he looks around to the others slowly. As he waits his foot taps as he slowly begins to crack his knuckles.
Cade peeks out between Nixco's arm and side, looking at the paper now that he sees he dwarf is not going to do something for him snatching the paper. He reads it then shrugs. He then moves to the exit, waiting there as the others finish whatever they want to do before they head out.
Hulil arches an eyebrow as Nixco rattles off the list of things in the chest, but doesn't say anything while Nixco speaks. After Nixco finishes, Hulil nods and smirks slightly. "I wouldn't have given you the coin even if you asked. Here, take what you asked for - though some of the quantities are wrong. While you sort it out among yourselves, I'll remove the powder from the chest."
Hulil pulls out, from the chest: a gilded scroll case, covered in a fanciful rendering of the planes of existence, a jade statuette of a storm giant, a quiver containing six +1 arrows, and a silver ring set with a jasper stone. After a few minutes of working with a pick and a file, Hulil removes the powder from the trapped chest, and holds it out it to Nixco in a vial half-full of the blue powder.
She looks at Raegrin for a moment, then snaps at him - "Raegrin, you'll be going with these people. Make sure they don't try anything that breaks our agreement.", Hulil says, eyeing all of you for a moment. Raegrin nods quickly, and gives a short "Yes, Mistress Hulil", before walking towards you.
Removing her blanket she places it over her hand, grabs the vial, and proceeds to wrap it up carefully. She place it and the rest of the items in her pack.
"I am sure we could use the help!" She stands up and makes ready to leave. "Will you stay here?"
She turns to the rest of her party, "is this ok with everyone? We can head back to town to see the chief and go to the inn?"
"Sounds fine to me. Could use something to drink before we risk endin up like the sick ones." Thurakk says as he moves to head back to room with Old Croaker. He waits impatiently for the frog to be called by whoever can do so.
Hulil nods, content with the deal you've struck. "I will be staying here, but I have sent Raegrin to go with you. May Tiamat keep watch over you."
Raegrin leads you all out of the cavern, back to the pool where Old Croaker resides. He calls for the giant frog, and it ferries you all across the frigid pool. Raegrin leads the rest of you out of Croaker Cave the way you came.
Do any of you have anything you'd like to do, or are you planning on heading back to the village? It's about 9 AM right now, and it'll take an hour or so to return to Palebank Village.
(I think we need to go to the town, see the leader and find that guy at the inn. Then try and work out where the hell to get cure... Unless someone else has an idea?)
As you make your way back to Palebank Village, following the footsteps you left in the snow, you all decide to head to the Jolly Dwarf Inn, intent on finding what you can about this merchant, Irven Liel. An hour passes as the sun continues to rise, heating up the snow and your skin as you arrive in Palebank Village.
After you make your way towards the Jolly Dwarf Inn, you see the same two humans as the night before, and the pair of tiefling children with them, exiting the inn. They give you a friendly nod and wave as you approach the inn, and step aside to allow you to enter if you so wish.
Smiles as she approaches "Good morning, how are you today" She gestures to the group "we are looking for someone here, and we saw you the other day, are you regulars here?"
As you approach the family, or group, you take note of some of their features. The two male humans are about the same height, say, upwards of 5'10, and both have a strong tan complexion. One of them has brown, messy hair, while the other has red, wavy hair, both typical of the humans residing in the Dwendalian Empire. The two tiefling children are both female, blue-skinned, and they have small curled horns protruding from their temples.
The brown-haired human returns your smile, Nixco, and answers, "Good morning to you as well. We're not regulars here, though we are staying - we're visiting from the Dwendalian Empire - that is, me, my husband Fenton, and our two tiefling children, Honor and Magic."

Thurakk is fine with going back to the village if the others are.
(I think we go see the other guy first, then the leader. That way we finish things up before talking to him.)

Cade would agree with finding this merchant first, then going to see the leader.
(ok, so travel back to town and on to the inn. You want us to go step by step or will skip us there?)

"Well met! Cute kids!" She looks around a little "We are looking for a human called Irven Liel does this ring a bell at all?"
Cade stands behind Nixco, glancing out at the tiefling kids from time to time.
