Bell doesn't even notice a tug at her subconscious as she's focused on dragging the poor old woman out of town, much to Balleries consternation though eventually the elderly woman seems to calm down once the man is out of sight. Once the sight of the dead merchant comes into view however, her fighting erupts again, though Bells strength is too much for her, even as she's swarmed by the merchants, whom she -while being dragged- pointedly says to them with tears glistening once more in her eyes, that 'how could they be so heartless as to ignore the dead man' and pointing until they all looked, at which point, the three merchants who had come rush over to the body that has likely been there for more than a day, tears welling in their eyes though not to the same extent as Balleries, looking around, and asking questions like 'who could have done this?!'
Rose is similarly uneffected, though for the briefest of moments she feels her desire to leave town grow before dissipating to normal levels. And as the group nears the gate, Root is once more overcome with a strong sense.... Yvette, the love of his life was at home, all alone, and how he missed her.... he'd been away for so long... or so it felt like. Root felt the overwhelming urge to return to her before something ill befell either himself or her, or the entire town. How could he have left her like that?! and other such thoughts swimming through his mind.
Fallan, feels her stomach rumble after seeing the people who had been eating like gluttons before, and her stomach felt like the pit of a black hole, desperately needing something to eat, except rations... that shit is disgusting and below her, but she knew she needed food, lots of it, and quickly, from anywhere.... or anyone (no, not cannibalistic, but seemingly endless hunger in general) All the while the gate stood merely ten feet from the party as they continued to move.
Fallan quickens her step to catch up with Rose. "Hey, got anything to eat? ANYTHING? I'm famished!"She then turns to Bell, without waiting long enough for Rose to respond: "What about you? Anything filling in that flask of yours? I'll take anything but rations. This is ridiculous. Where's second breakfast? Snake time? Midmorning tea and cakes?"
Then, just in general to anyone that can hear, she raises her voice and asks: "Who's got food fit for a hungry hobbit? Somebody? ANYBODY?"
Rose continues along the path but calls out to Fallan There are moon cakes this way Fallan! Just follow me! I keep a stash outside the city! Enough to fill you up three times over!
"Oh, come ON, Rose..."Fallan nearly whines. "Who keeps good food, especially a lot of it, where it can rot/go bad/be eaten by critters? I mean what do you have to eat HERE AND NOW?"
Turning to the remainder of the little parade she adds: "And the rest of you? No one can feed a hungry halfling? As the caretaker would say; 'Have you no heart'???"
"Yvette, my love wait for me! Friends I must leave, my Yvette is all alone I cant leave her to this madness!" Root will start to push through people heading for the gate!

"Yes, yes, honey can be filling if there is ENOUGH of that delectable creation of those annoying bees. Thank you so much, Bell. Of course, I will stay with you, when you can be counted on to provide delicious sustenance!" Fallan almost snatches away Bell's flask and begins guzzling the contents like a starving bear cub. But she somehow manages to continue to walk in the direction of Rose and the rest of the retinue's travels.
As the momentary halting seems to come to an end, Fallans cries being mostly ignored by the merchants as none of them were 'food' merchants, but rather utensil/trinket and sundries vendors and other more common items. They went back about their business trying to sell to anyone other than fallan that they could, which luckily was a group of dancing townsfolk, dancing together before being harried by the merchants. Root pushing past most of the group, crying out for his love and letting the world know he was coming. The merchants and other townsfolk seemed set on whatever it was they were doing, as Fallan finally joins the group at the offer of honey, and though not filling, necessarily, it did quench her sweet tooth, only making her want more of the substance. But finally, you all make it outside the gates, back to the road and a little ways out, with Fallan chugging more and more honey (till its limit, if it has one) With Root running down the road about eighty feet ahead of the group. Seeming deadset on making it back to the village he had come from.
Despite being a few hundred feet from the city walls themselves, and the now-abandoned gate, Fallans urge didn't seem to be dissipating, nor did Root's.
Rose sighs with relief as Fallan follows, lured by Belles infinite source if honey. Once well out of the city she sits down, exhausted. I...I can cure their madness. Belle...just give me an hour to rest, keep them here and ill fix them. I just...need a rest. Without waiting for confirmation Rose collapses backwards hoping to finally gain some of her strength back.(after a short rest ill use my sanctuary to dispell the charm. Just make sure root doesn't wander off and Fallan doesn't drown in honey)
Seeing Rose taking up a resting position, Fallan follows suit. Laying down against a tree, she tips up Bell's flask even further as if the filling honey wasn't coming out fast enough. In this position, her stomach seemed to bulge out and made her look like her armor no longer fit around her middle and that her belly was being filled like a balloon. "Oh, yeah, this is the stuff!" she mumbled between swallows and kept gulping greedily.
Seeing the others Rest Root will shake his head “I have to go! Yvette is waiting for me all alone! Who knows what could have happened to her?” Root won’t stop but he won’t run at full pace.
[Did we ever get long rest? No right]

"Mulkrip" -Hobgoblin Barbarian, Path of the Totem Warrior -Libertalia
Rose collapses from literal exhaustion, fainting into a state where she cannot be woken up by any means for at-least the next four hours, heavy breaths coming out raggedly as her body finally gives into its needs, though she will wake up with one hell of a backache, neckache, and likely at-least one very sore, and bloodstarved arm from lying on it for too long. Fallan continues guzzling the honey, but regardless of how much she consumes she wants more, even if her belly begins to ache, the hunger and desire for treats and food in general whether honey, or otherwise... simply gnaws at her.
Bell shouts at Root, whom is still running down the path, just within earshot of Bells shouting as the frustrated and somewhat distressed Satyr looks about her as Rose collapses, Root runs, and Fallan gorges, being the only one left both conscious and sane likely only adding to that stress. By now its the middle of the day, and the sun is high, and the air is muggy, causing sweat to slick the bodies of the party, in the dry, wet, heat. What little wind there was wasn't comforting as it only gae hope that it would cool you off but never did more than tease at such things.
I can't post much more since I'm not sure what the party intends to do at present. Whether its stay in/near the town once rose awakens in 4 hours., head back somewhere, etc. This is where I'll be needing to push Root as a character to exit, since they said they were going to escort to the gate before their exit from the campaign. That doesn't however mean they can't make a final post.
Shaking his head “I’ll rest once she’s before my eyes, I’m sorry Bell. I have to go!” Root rushes off as far his body can! Pushing past his exhaustion, he continues forward not looking back.
[Thanks for having me guys. It was great fun playing as Root, really enjoyed myself. Hope to see y’all again in other games.]
