"Is it worth showing our dwarvish friend here the map we are working from, and see if he can tell us more about any of the key rooms? Especially those between here and where the FORGE is?" Fallan asks as she makes herself comfortable for a decently long rest.
Rose sits down and prepares to get comfortable for an extended stay while studying the map. To Root she says We only got as far as what you've seen already. That room with the statue just outside was where we ended up. Unfortunately circumstances dictated a fast retreat so we never got to explore the room properly. Everything else we explore in this complex will be new to Gwen and I. When Fallan mentions having the dwarf look at the map Rose nods thinking it worth a shot. Moving to be next to the Dwarf she holds up the map and says Well Nundro? You know anything else about any other part of these ruins? Maybe you over heard the spider talking about some of them while you were a prisoner?
Belle posts up near the door while she rests, keeping half an ear towards the entrance. She casually drinks from her jug and stretches out her arms and her legs frequently, seeming antsy.

Nundro looks at rose quizzically as he furrows his brows, for a moment as realization comes to his face. Wait, that were you folk a week ago? I had heard th' bustle outside the door, but after a very very loud noise, some more clashin, then silence for a few minutes, then the mother of all melee's happened just outside the doors... I a'feared fer me life, but none ever entered the room, and then.. it went quiet till you all came through... So I am to owe you fer savin' me twice. Oi. then, finally focusing on the map as he seems to be recovered enough to speak normally once more. His arm weakly rubbing his brow to focus, as he looks it over.
Oh aye.. The Spider asked me much the same, but I held out from 'im. Me brother-n-I suspected it were in these three places. I came in ahead o' me other brother tae scout 'er out. I made it to the center X. If whatcher sayin' be true, then the left most one, here... he says, weakly pointing to it Which means there's only one place left th' forge could be, based on the design. Is the farthest right X, here... his finger drags to the far side of the map to what appears to be a smaller room with tools and tables, just south of the water, on the farthest edge of the map near the top.
And not much. It's built like any dwarven mine or town. We build our rooms and feastign halls inside. We usually have a normal forge or two somewhere, what with all the metal ores. But as this one were part of some layline bullshit.. I don't pretend to understand that crap, but it also allowed for magical items to be made 'ere. It's what made th' place so sucessful in its time. So everythign is either a work room, an ore room, or a forge room. The armory is likely here....he says pointing to the room they had been in, though no weapons or armor had been found there, for whatever reason. If ye fumble 'round with yer eyes enough you're as like tae find some magical doodads but you'll likely run into whatever didn't die down 'ere last week, if anythin's left. Other than that, the rest is lost to time. Sorry, the place is just as much a mystery to me and mine as it is to you, we just happened to know a bit more, 'ats all.
"That's what I like - OPTIMISM... but what ELSE might we 'find' in there with that forge?"Fallan compliments and then questions Root. "But at least we'll be rested... even if we have missed at least 4 meals! {sigh}. Are we ready to go? Or do you want me to 'scout ahead'?"
“Again Fallan food is food. If you don’t want rations for dinner not much I can do.” Root chuckles “Well I’m pretty sure Bell is ready. We can start scouting if Rose gives the okay.”

Gwen felt many pangs of guilt for Nundro, she wanted to tell him of her brothers fate, very badly, but she understood why Rose didn't tell him, so as to not send him into despair here and now. But she had to actively look away so he wouldn't see her shedding a few tears of pity for the man over the course of the rest. She had kept a very very soft tune going once she managed to compose herself, trying to make sure it wouldn't carry through the door, but to allow everyone some quiet background noise, instead of the silent chorus of the ancient room accompanied by breaths and shuffling or the occasional small conversation.
By the end of it, everyone seemed ready to continue, or atleast scout ahead to get an idea of the area before proceeding.
I need to know if anyone is doing anything and where they're going if they do.
Fallan nods at Root, and then almost immediately shakes her head as she walks past, muttering: "Nope, food isn't food, or everyone would eat rations all the time. There's food, and then there's GOOD FOOD. Maybe with a dragon's stomach, it all tastes like ash. Who knows?" With that, she carefully opens the door to their "resting space" and decides to move out slowly and cautiously, remembering her last foray and the unwanted zombies, ghouls, and flaming skulls she inadvertently bypassed and ended up bringing back to the group. Having looked over the map Rose had only briefly, she knew she had a couple of options for how to get to the "rightmost" room with an "X". One of them required backtracking through the area they had recently fought in, and that didn't sit well with her. The other appeared to mean dealing with water, but since she had endured being wet once already and had "found" a wand that might later be useful, she opted to take that route. So she immediately turned to head down the two sets of stairs outside the dwarf's room that entered the room with the river.

"Well... now's as good a time as any. Let's forge ahead! To the forge!" Bell takes one final swig form her jug and heads out, taking point alongside Fallan, and will attempt to move quietly.
Rose spends time donning her armor before she's ready to go. Before leaving she approaches Nundro. I'll leave some water and rations for you hear, you should block the door and try to get some rest. Don't open for anyone but us, we will return for you once we've confirmed the location of the forge. She will wait long enough for a reply before leaving and following Root, trying her best not to ruin the stealth of those scouting ahead and keeping an eye out behind them. To reiterate Rose will also be granting her night vision to everyone as well.
Fallan sets out ahead of the group by several moments before Root and co follow behind. Fallan walks over the few corpses in the doorway, far less than had been piled up in the other hallway. After heading down quietly through the first set of stairs, that then bent to the left, several feet only to dip down to yet another flight. The ruins here were dusty, though it was clear creatures or perhaps the Spiders men had brushed against, but unlike the other carved halls it looked as though this area had been ignored outside of search parties, defending against the undead, and other such activity. And several dead drow bodies with mundane and average looking gear lie on the floor, as well as several bugbears. But there were many more former ghoul and zombie corpses, meaning that this area had been a risk spot when the Spider had been here. Luckily it seemed the area was unoccupied.
A wide rift fills the eastern half of this cavern. A stream pours out of the west wall, then tumbles down into the rift and flows out again to the north. Several ropes are secured to iron stakes along on the western edge of the rift, leading down to the chasm floor making for a relatively easy descent if one would choose to use them. Across the rift looked like what used to be a stream bed, long dry, for whatever reason. And just slightly south of it was a clearly dwarf-made passage, though for what use could be anyone's guess. Most likely it fed into the channel of the metals forge to power the watermill-looking-object that was on the map. A boulder secured by thick iron chains rested in the air above where the stream bed fed off to the north, though no clear devices were visible.
Down in the ravine, which Fallan could see in shades of grey as bright as day were many rows of rock, seemingly random in placement.
Root and the others follow behind, with root's footfalls echoing in the tunnels slightly, while Bell was almost as silent as Fallan as they pushed forward. Root notices most everything that Fallan does, though he does note that most of the rocks down below are covering dwarven bodies who had been unfortunate enough to be there when the roof collapsed on their heads, though the ravine itself looked as though it were created by an explosion long in the past. As Root scans around, near the dwarven passage south of the old streambed, he notes that there is an iron fitting, much like the ones holding the ropes here, with a frayed rope that cut off near the top. The ravine, on both sides, is roughly twenty feet deep.
Rose stays back for about a minute behind everyone as Nundro responds with a nod and a sigh though he looks appreciative, he simply seems exhausted still. Will do, lass. You folks stay safe out there. An remember what I telled ye earlier... Powerful magics and leylines are like honey to flies with monstrosities.. so go in wary.
Don't worry Nundro, we'll be fine. We're rested, and we're pretty sure most everything is dead, so if this monster you think is there -and I don't say this because I doubt you...- but the most we may have to deal with is him, and a pair of angry ghouls. But .. Just in case... if we're not back within a day... I'd suggest leaving through the south heading tunnels. Kay?
Just as Rose is about to head out the door, Gwen picks her up, and though Gwen strains a little between her natural weight, and the added weight of her armor, moves with her being held in her arms as Gwen slowly, quietly moves down to meet the rest, ultimately seeing what everyone else except the extra details Root spotted.

Fallan slowly and quietly moves out, eyes scanning everywhere, thanks to the spell from Rose. "Wow, this really is really neat! No reason to stumble around in the dark. Too bad that wasn't the case back when...." She cuts off her thoughts, lest they go to a place darker than the caverns she was traversing. But upon looking back over her shoulder, she spotted the group behind her. Shrugging her shoulders, she shook her head and thought "You know, gang, if you would stay back, I could let you know what I find, so you come prepared, not surprised, or alerting something I might sneak past!" Still advancing stealthily, even if no immediate threats were to be seen (though that hanging boulder gave her cause to be extra careful), Fallan crept up to the edge of the rift. Seeing the rope secured for a descent, she decided to "go for a ride". Stopping for a moment, she pulled the rope she carried in her pack out. Holding it over the rope in the rift, she gave a firm tug to test the strength of the 'who knows how old' rope heading down to the stream bed. Staying on the ledge, she continued to add stress to the old rope, until almost her entire weight was leaning back away from the rift and pulling on the old rope. Assuming it held, Fallan glanced back at her 'hidden' friends and decided to go for a ride. Hoping to slide down this zip-line-like contraption she had made, she gripped her rope as tightly as she could and then stepped off the edge of the rift to let gravity have its way with her.
Bell halts as Fallan zips off into the darkness, and hangs back to give the halfling some room to scout. She lifts her jug to her mouth. "If Fallan wants to snoop ahead herself... I won't argue with some extra time to drink,"the Satyr comments to herself, and drinks deeply from the jug.
