"Midgard took our tieflings and left us with Hogstout! King Thedas deserved to be strung up naked from the highest spire!" Gwyn hisses, then takes a deep breath to compose herself, considering Eirk's words. "I apologise, Erik, clearly you have Ishbrae's best interest at heart. Perhaps we can agree that the first step we should be doing is striking against the tabaxis and mantis warriors that have come to take over the Isle. We must send them a message, starting with the mantis warriors. Their leader is Kat'chka."
She offers Erik a picture of him, shooting Scottie a sideways glance; her previous flirtation completely gone.
"Those 'Thri-Kreen' have been pushing people around, invading their homes to suit themselves. Their headquarters isn't far from here. We must do something about them. After all, what else should you do when bugs infest your home?"
Erik takes the photo offered to him and examines it, thankful that he was able to ease the tension in the room some. "Thank you, milady. I do want the best for this land and for your people. Do you happen to have a map of the city? Or at least point us in the direction of the Thri-kreen base." Erik asks softly, no trace of anything but sincerity in his voice.
"You simply follow the street outside to the end. It's a big wooden house with a grey tiled roof. But be careful, if the mantis warriors realise you are after them, it may not end well for you."
Erik bows gratefully. "We will do our best to keep our intentions to ourselves milady." He said. He looked to his companions to see if they had anything else they wanted to say before they left. They had been strangely silent, and Erik was hoping he wasn't stepping on any toes...he had simply wanted to avoid escalation.

He had heard about the boat from Midgard...the crusty barflies along the waterfront were all too eager to talk about the vessels that came into port...especially when he paid their tab. Deciding what to do about the information, now that was more difficult. For all I know, they are Tiefling spies...or worse.... He had yet to spend enough time in Ishbrae to build a reliable network of contacts. That required time...and money. He was short on both.
He had scarcely expected to run across them in the square. When the elven bard peformed, calming the tensions of the people, he knew he had to try.
Niall follows the group through the alleys of the residential district, trying to keep low and quiet. A stern-faced young man, his hair cut short in the style of the Watchmen of Midgard, he makes himself appear unremarkable. Simply another resident of the neighborhood save for the quality of his doublet and the foreign cut of his armor. Hide bow and sword and dagger beneath a ratty cloak and hope for the best. He stops well outside the house they enter and waits. Watches for the door to open as the day slowly dies.

Niall restrains himself from swearing a blue streak as the two eye-patch wearing guards find him and drag him bodily into the house. The fierce woman stares him down, her single eye alive with suspicion and bottled rage. This was not as he had planned it: seized and interrogated before the new arrivals from Midgard. He decides, in this circumstance, that honesty is his best bet. He takes a deep breath.
"I am no spy, and I have no quarrel with you." He glances over at the Firbolg, the elf he had seen earlier, the human. "I am of Midgard, and I had heard there were other...arrivals...from Midgard here. Other friends of the King." He displays a brass ring, engraved with the signet of Thedas, and throws his hood back, revealing the indelible traces of his half-elven lineage. "I am Niall Griffinsborn, detective to the City Watch of Midgard"

Niall glances at the human (JacksonDanielz I'm presuming the race of your character) and matches his tone, carefully concealing his own excitement and fear.
" I fled Midgard just as the coup was getting underway...I have been in hiding since. When I heard others had arrived, I had to see who they were. You don't strike me as Tiefling spies. Hopefully my hunch is right."

"We are not not Tiefling spies..." Erik affirmed and then turned his attention back to Gwyn and bowed deeply. "I apologize for this interruption, it was not of our making Milady, but I beg you leave this man into our charge and we will remove him from your premises as quickly as possible." Erik said putting every effort into his diplomacy skills.

"I have no tribe, at least as far as I know. I was raised on these streets."
"War would imply two sides. I'm talking about stopping this before it reaches war."
"You may take your new best friend with you without any trouble. If you agree to keep your mouths shut about what you saw AND hit the thri-kreen house."
"Interesting. Anyways, we will be on our way then. We seem to have the same goal just perhaps a different methodology of getting there. Perhaps one day though we can work together. Until then I leave you be."
With that Scottie will leave the building and start heading towards where the children are.
Gwyn stands in the doorway and watches the entire party leave, including Niall. You all head back to the Inn to find Braithe, Aliira and the children in the foyer.
[Niall perception check on whether you recognise these people]
"How did it go?" Aliira asks.
"We managed to speak with the Viceroy," said Braithe. "He has arranged a gala to be held tonight to celebrate our arrival. He is going to rally the townsfolk together and try to build some trust between all of his people. Now we should get some rest. The Viceroy really wants to meet you tomorrow."
“That sounds promising. We meet with Gwen; the Firbolg with the Jackanapes. She wanted us to join her and take down the Thri-Kreen, the insect looking people, along with the triefling in power. She was very for the people but I don’t necessarily approve of her methods.”

Niall accompanies the group out of the Jackanape headquarters, relieved that he is allowed to leave unharmed. He glances at the faces of the other party members, looking for anyone familiar from the city.
You do not recognise the adventurers, but you recognise the old man travelling with them as Braithe Al'thier, the usurped king's illegitimate brother; and two of his many children, Princess Caitlyn and Prince Marius, both of whom are believed to be dead.
