1st Attack: Grapple the wolf (athletics9, contested by the wolf's athletics or acrobatics roll). 2nd Attack: 21 Damage: 6. If grapple failed and this hits, DC14 Con save for Stunning Strike. Bonus Attack: 13 Damage: 6 (2nd roll 27 for advantage if stunned).
Breathing heavy and in a bit of pain Gadston prods the body of the two humans with his boot.
"By the Goddess what was that all about?" he asks to no one in particular. "Do any of you believe they were following us or was this just some tragic encounter for them?"
Dench works to shake the ice and frost from his skin and clothes. Eventually, he glances toward the tower, then up and down the trail. "Is there a safe place to recover before we go into the tower itself," he says. "Gavyn? Uri? Did you see any place that might be safe?"
"It seems unlikely that anyone else will be following us, and we are fairly safe from assault from across the chasm", ponders Uri, "Although it is not impossible - I was able to scale the cliff. Whichever way, we must keep a good watch."

Direcris takes a moment to steady himself, than walks over and searches the bodies. (Investigation: 8 )
When he's done he returns to the camp, his back against the mountain wall as he slides to the ground with a solid thud. "So I'm not planning on moving right now. A mug in the next town if I can get last watch."
Dench continues shaking off the cold. He flaps the frost out of his cloak. "If we feel safe here, let's rest here. Since we don't know what is inside the tower, should we rest briefly or until we are completely recovered?"
Direcris finds 370 gold pieces on the corpses along with a handful of equipment including two sections of 50 ft. hempen rope, two climbing kits, thirty pitons, and their weapons. The mountains are quite aside from the sounds of the rushing river below.
(You may attempt a long or short rest if you wish. Let me know whatever precautions/watches you wishes to take, and I will let you know if you complete your rest.)

Glad that Gavyn is watching from the trees, Dench settles not far from Uri and Direcris. "Sir Gadston, come join us," he says and takes a short rest: 38.
Gavyn will try to bring it down with two more shots before it gets out of sight:
Attack: 8 Damage: 22
Attack: 11 Damage: 20

On his turn, Uri will try to:
1st Attack: Grapple the wolf (athletics 9, contested by the wolf's athletics or acrobatics roll).
2nd Attack: 21 Damage: 6. If grapple failed and this hits, DC14 Con save for Stunning Strike.
Bonus Attack: 13 Damage: 6 (2nd roll 27 for advantage if stunned).
Direcris is barely freed before he is hit with the breath: DEX save - 11
He stands, then limps toward Uri and the wolf. If it is still alive, he will direct his breath at it. (DEX save 14. Damage: 20 )
(Uri Dex save vs Direcris' breath, if necessary, 26 - no damage on save, half damage otherwise due to evasion)
Sir Gadston
Dex Save: 10
The Frost covers Gadston and penetrates his armor to the skin causing him pain. Anger mars his face as he slashes out at the fleeing creature.
Hit: 25 Damage: 14
Sir Gadston clips the wolf as it begins to flee. Gavyn misses two rapid shots as the creature leaves his field of view.
The wolf struggles with Uri.
(Athletics v Grapple, 6)
(CON Save v Stunning Strike, 6)
The stunned wolf is then blasted by a jet of acid from Direcris, putting it down for good.
(Out of initiative)

"By the Goddess what was that all about?" he asks to no one in particular. "Do any of you believe they were following us or was this just some tragic encounter for them?"
"I don't believe in coincidences" states Uri flatly, wincing slightly at his injuries; though the damage to his pride is greater.

Gavyn steps out and over to the group. "I am unharmed. Those of you that need it, take a rest. I will keep watch."

One eye opens and takes a look around to judge if there's enough room for the Tiny Hut. ((Is there 10 feet that's clear enough?))
If there isn't, the eye just closes again. "Thank you. Much appreci-" His voice trails off, turning into low snores.
Sir Gadston
"Blighters seemed bent on killing us." Gadston says. "I do need a bit of a rest to heal some. whom else needs healing?' he will ask.
Once Gavyn has taken up his watchpost, Uri settles down for a while, taking a long pull from his waterskin and stretching his bruised limbs.
(Spending 5 hit dice to recover up to
2744hp - forgot about Periapt of Wound Closure)Glad that Gavyn is watching from the trees, Dench settles not far from Uri and Direcris. "Sir Gadston, come join us," he says and takes a short rest: 38.

"I don't mind if I do." Gadston says cheerfully. Gadston joins the others.
"Now this is truely a marvel." he says. "And needed after such a battle." Gadston rests.
