Taking the arrows off him. "Be mer careful next time, ye never know what happens with magical stuff, also try capturing them next time, info is always a good keep"
Looking at Jayce, Dust in the Wind sees no evidence of the chain the bound him; although, the pendant he holds now seems dull.
Cailan's pegasus (do they have a name?) telepathically reports to their master that the spire in the distance is swarming with ravens. Most of the area in each direction is listless and grey.
@DM - Apologies, I was initially thinking that the name was something unpronounceable shared between Cailan and the pegasus in celestial (since I don't think anyone else speaks it), but I realise that has issues for describing it neatly. We'll call it Bucephalus, after Alexander the Great's horse.
@Everyone - if anyone takes damage, let me know how much in a spoiler or something, and Cailan can touch you in the sore spot. Only 1gp per hp restored! :D
Cailan watches the pegasus swoop down and land next to him, ruffling its wings as it nuzzles him. He pats its neck in return and turns to the others. "Bucephalus has declared this place, wherever we are, to be largely dead, and of little worth or note. He has noted, however, that our spire is swarming with our raven friends. It seems our path is clear."
He grab's the beast's reins and leaps onto its back, the glow from his blade doing some good to dispel the darkness around them. He clasps his bicep where he was nicked by the arrow, a soft pulse of radiant light healing the wound.
The Tabaxi checks his gear and straightens his cloak, preparing for the travel ahead. Looking around at the sparse dead trees, he says out loud to the group,
"These woods do not give much cover. We should stay close, Dust in the Wind does not trust this place."
"I expect they know we are coming....I threw fire and thunder in this battle, and myself and the Pegasus flew. I will approach from the air, following along our party 60' up. Unless someone has another idea....."
"You are most likely correct Darkfire, the ravens have many eyes with which to see us, and creating a diversion would only divide us needlessly. Let us proceed directly, and see what foulness lies ahead." Cailan swings up into Bucephalus' saddle, the pegasus pawing the ground with one of its hooves impatiently, snorting at the unfamiliar smell of the place.
The group continues to the tower, noticing more and more watchful ravens along the way.
Upon reaching the structure, it looks out of place in this dreary land. It is a made of brilliant white stone with a crystalline vein spiraling down from its peak like a vine wrapped around a tree. The vein ends just above a set of large wooden doors which hang ajar. There are three tiers to the spire: the ground level which most of the group is currently at, a second level 30 ft. up which has a balcony around the circumference with silvered-iron fences adoring its edges, and a third level 10 ft. more up with a similar balcony only 10 ft. wide. The top of the spire reaches 60 ft.
Through the open doors, a dark empty entrance hall with vaulting ceilings can be seen. On the third tier the dim flicker of candlelight creates a dim glow through one of the windows. Most notably shadowy chains, similar to the one that grasped Jace from the Talisman but much larger, are tethered to six points at the spire's base.
Cailan nods silently at Eliodos' question as he drops form the back of Bucephalus. He pats the pegasus' neck, and requests it circle the tower slowly, calling out any activity, in or outside the tower.
"These chains... like the same that held you, Jayce. Perhaps if they suffer the same fate, the tower will be freed?"
Jayce, sheaths his blades and looks at the pendant.
"That certainly didn't go the way I thought it would. I am unharmed as far as I'm aware."
He takes a moment to scan the surroundings and the others. "Anyone else have any ideas?"

Heal 3hp.
Darkfire
"Does someone want to search these corpses? maybe there is a clue?"
The corpses only seem to have their weapons and armor on them. They are decaying before your eyes.
"Well, shal' we go to the tow'r then? Says Eliodos looking in the direction it is supposed to be in"

"foul magic binds the tower here, shall we go in and investigate?"
Jayce carefully follows the group, keeping an eye out for any traps or movement.

Darkfire will approach the window to see if he can see inside. flying within 5' but not touching...

something gets in his eye....
"More ravens. We need to be careful.. The chains weren't easy to break, but perhaps with some help I could try."
Jayce will help anyone if they decide to try break the chains. Or just investigate the chains to see what they are made of and where the lead to.

Dust in the Wind will approach the doorway and listen for any movement inside the hall.
Perception: 16
Darkfire can't see much more than a desk with several candles and some paper on top of it.
Jayce positions himself by one of the chains.
Dust in the Wind listens to the empty hall. There is a faint rumbling sound from inside.
Darkfire will fly down to the hall entrance, hanging back from Dust in the Wind and not to disturb him.
