The woman stares at Uthred blankly, "What are you talking about? I didn't see or hear anything like that." The woman finishes her drink. "Now if you don't mind, I need to see about a place to rest with what little I have left." See stands up, collects herself and heads toward the door.
The dwarf resumes talking to Borax, "It's like I was telling her, with how often ships have gone missing, they're be more work in caravans if you need it. That's what I'll be looking into."
The dwarf obliges Faylen's request, "Last thing I remember we were sailing around here, then when we woke-up we were here." He points to a spot in the sea about a day's sailing outside of town, and a point on land more than a days hike away just outside of the swamp.
Jarrett rubs his hands together after receiving no response from Uhtred and instead turning his attention to Faylen. "Sounds like it could be exciting! I do so love a good mystery you know. This light sounds like it could be many different things. Count me in!"
V'rekh looks at the map and replies to Jarret's question "I have not traveled trough those parts yet, I'll go with you. I wonder who will we find out there."
"I have nothing better to do at the moment. Gond may have placed this opportunity before us, but we will not know unless we stoke the fire a little and see how hot the fire burns." Borax drinks the final mouthful from his mug placing it firmly down on the table.
The area doesn't seem familiar to any of you, but there is a clear road that passes nearby the area, and a small trail off of that heading towards a bridge in the swamp.
(If anyone wants to make any preparations before the start of your journey, post it now. Otherwise you can describe setting off on the northern road with the morning sun veiled behind a blanket of grey clouds.)
Borax spends the afternoon checking the mechanics of his crossbow, re-strapping the grip on his Warhammer and making sure that his armour is fully integrated into his structure. Prepared for the morning, he sits on the end of his bed to wait until morning.
As the dawn creeps across the harbour village, Borax starts to move, stretching each of his joints in turn. Quietly he walks outside and faces the horizon. As the sun rises, he intones a prayer to Gond, praying that the fires of the heavens will warm and protect them through the day. That all falsity will burn away, revealing the truth of the mystery they were about to face.
With his morning devotions over, Borax returns to his room, collects his gear, and goes to the common room to meet the rest of the party.
V'rekh finishes his meal and goes for a walk after sunset, stopping for a while to look at the moon. Satisfied that it's still looking over them, he goes back to the tavern to sleep.
As morning comes, he goes back to the common room, looking for his companions.

Faylen disappears for the night, catching some sleep and readying her equipment. As morning comes and she notices people milling about, Faylen makes her way to the common room to meet with her companions.
The next morning Jarrett wakes up with a grin and immediately sets about the task of preparing several of his contraptions. He spends a few moments staring at the myriad of contraptions he had sitting at his work table; the magically expandable sack? No, while generally useful in all situations, going into a swamp where illumination might be a problem... his eyes fall upon the rose-tinted lenses. Yes! That would do, to be sure! He grabs the goggles and slips them around his neck, taking a moment to check the calibration of the technomagically imbued before stowing them for the journey. Lastly he looks at his wrist device and spends several minutes making minute adjustments to the magical formula and gears around it to empower the device and its ability to direct his attacks spells. Once satisfied, he attaches the device to his wrist and makes sure to grab his backpack before heading out to join the others for the journey.
(OOC)Activating my Infusions to create Goggles of Night and Enhanced Arcane Focus.(/OOC)
Travelling for the better part of the day, the skies only become gloomier. By the time the group stops at midday to rest and eat the meals Uthred brought along (with Borax waiting while the group refuels), a slight drizzle begins to fall. The trail leading into the bald cypress treeline of the swamp is slick and muddy with the ever increasing rainfall. With the slowly setting sun, the group enters the swamp walking along an earthen-worked path rising above the water.
The thick foliage darkens what little light is left in the day but softens the downpour from the clouds above. The sounds of strange bird calls and croaking toads add to the drone of rainfall, making the swamp much louder inside than out. Based on Faylen's directions from the dwarf, a bridge crossing the main river running through the swamp should be nearby.

Seeing an opportunity, Faylen interjects.
"Could you possibly show us on a map here, whereabouts your ship ran ashore?"
The dwarf obliges Faylen's request, "Last thing I remember we were sailing around here, then when we woke-up we were here." He points to a spot in the sea about a day's sailing outside of town, and a point on land more than a days hike away just outside of the swamp.
Faylen commits the dwarf's directions to memory, thanking him and turning to her companions.
"So, friends, what say you?"

Uthred looks at the map and thinks if he ever sailed in that part or ever heard of it from the other sailors

Faylen grins, anxious to get their next adventure underway.
Jarrett glances at the map and the terrain. "Excellent. Let's be on our way tomorrow shall we? I'd like sometime to prepare myself for the journey."

Before going to sleep, Uthred asks the inn keeper to prepare some dry meals for the morrow.
When he wakes up he is ready, nonetheless he has a strange feeling
Mh, let's just hope this time it will go better
