Shipwrecked in Saltmarsh

Katernin inflicts a second serious wound on her attacker with her axe. Her spectral vine gives the creature a moment of hesitation, but manages to evade its sting.

The dwarves, some clad only in their underwear, fight back:

Only one hits. More dwarven sailors come running up the stairs from the lower hold.

Dain is up.

Dain smashes the paralyzed sea creature next to him with a mighty blow.

Attack (recklessly, not power attack, assumed critical as it is held): 25 Damage: 62

Dain obliterates a second creature with his powerful maul strike. It is quite definitely dead.

Dain swings across the hold, smashing his maul into the back of the one menacing Katernin and Fianna.  "Die sea scum!" he growls, unleashing all the pent-up sickness he has been feeling over the last few days into the blow.

Attack (reckless, power attacking): 14 Damage: 23

If it is dead Dain will charge across the ship hold to the nearest sahuagin, calling on his god, "Fer Moradin!"

Dain smashes another sahuagin to pieces, killing it instantly with his maul. Three down. Then he charges the next one (#7).

More advance on Fianna and Kelnan. (Dash.)

Another Sahuagin, smaller and more greenish than the others, appears at the bottom of the stairs. It fires an arcane flash of light at Dain.
Spell attack vs Dain: 13.  Radiant damage: 12

Three more sailors are killed by the beasts. Dain gets hit as well. (The next attack roll made against him has advantage, due to the mystical dim light glittering on him from the magical hit.)

Kelnan, Molo, Fianna and Katernin are up!

Kelnan shouts out to the party still in their cabins "Ladies and lizards, we've got guests!"

He faces off with the creature in his face and draws Mage Armor about himself.

(AC 16, Arcane Ward back up to 12 HP)

     One attacker down and another takes it's place. Is there no end to these things?  Still scrambling to get her feet soundly below her, Fianna thrusts out an arm towards the newest creature (9) and cats Hex upon it.  She then pivots and murmurs a word while thrusting out her other hand, this time casting Eldritch Blast at the hexed thing.

Eldritch Blast Attack: 18 Damage: 6 plus 1 necrotic if hit.  Disadvantage on Dexterity checks.

Molo runs out to stab at Sahuagin 8

Attack: 22 Damage: 3 and yells at Fianna “Kill ‘em dead! Mash their faces in!” For combat inspiration

While Kelnan tends to his magical defenses, Fianna casts a hex upon her new attacker, then blasts it with a beam of crackling energy, searing its fins and charring its natural armor.

The creatures grunt and gargle in an alien language. They smell of rotting seaweed, salt, and death.

Molo and Katernin are up next.

Molo joins Kelnan and manages to slash the arm of one of the fishy assailants. 

Katernin is up!

The dwarven sailors continue to fight back against their more powerful attackers, in some cases climbing over the bodies of their comrades to do so. Dwarven reinforcements continue to boil up from the lower hold, clad in little but their spears and nightclothes.

Katernin steps forward. While she fails to wound the sahuagin menace in her doorway with the axe, she slams it with her spectral vine with a successful, deadly blow. #9 down.

Dain may act next.

Dain is going to unleash hell on the sahuagin in front of him (#7).  Or at least try:

Attacking recklessly with Power Attack: 15 Damage: 31  (includes one-D-six+2 Divine Fury damage, which is radiant if is needs splitting out).

(He would like to use his Bardic Inspiration to add 3 to that attack roll please)

If that is good enough to hit and kill #7 he will then sprint across the deck to the unusually coloured sahuagin who he thinks was casting spells and try and whack him too.  (Only if he took out the first Sahuagin will he get a Bonus Action attack.  If he didn't he will not move from #7 and will not get a bonus action attack)

Bonus Action Attack, Recklessly with Power Attack, on spell-caster: 19 Damage: 26  (No Divine Fury as that only applies to the first attack in a round).

Whatever happens, his focus is so much upon slaying his victims he is utterly mindless about his own defence (Granting Advantage to hit him until his next turn, due to Reckless Attacks).

Dain continues his rampage through the marauding fish-faced attackers. He (just) fells another big brute with a massive, angry, kobold-inspired, blow of his maul before continuing on to the one who had burned him with a beam of light. He clobbers that one, also, but does not fell it.

The sahuagin fight back. The greenish one mutters an arcane word. Dain: Roll a DC12 Wisdom Save or be paralyzed.

     If Fianna can get through the doorway (unsure if Katernin is blocking the door or not) then Fianna will step outside the cabin, transfer her [Tooltip Not Found] at that sea creature.

EB vs #8 Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. plus 5 Necrotic if hit.

As Molo heals Kelnan, Fianna slides past Katernin, moves her hex to Kelnan's attacker, fires her beam of crackling purple energy at it, and misses.

Kelnan and Katernin may act next. (Kelnan with inspiration from Molo if he chooses.)
