There are 2 rough-hewn tunnels that lead to the right, both seeming to go to the same location. There's also a single one extending farther into the cave system.

Sheathing her sword, Vera breathed a sigh of relief that all of her allies had managed to survive their most recent brush with danger. She made a mental note to keep an eye on Wendigo and make sure he hadn't been infected by one of the creatures, not that she would really be able to tell. Moving ahead to the split in the path, Vera turned to Wendigo and said, "If you're up to it, maybe you and I scout ahead - each one of us taking a different path - and report back. That work for you?" Assuming there are no complaints or other suggestions, Vera would take the double path to the right, and carefully venture forward.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wendigo witnesses Vera heading down the other passage, and he gives her a curt nod. Melding into the shadows, he begins stalking down the other path, heading further into the system.

Vera, you can't remember if Wendigo was bitten or not. He seems . . .under the weather? But he was also just unconscious . . .
On the right path, Vera notices a foul stench as she gets closer. The passage opens up into a small cave, dominated by a refuse pile. The pile includes a pair of slimy, partially digested looking svirfneblin corpses.
Wendigo, you see a set of stairs leading up to a rise carpeted in moss. An important looking svirfneblin is sitting there, flanked by two giant rats.

Does the svirfneblin appear potentially friendly, or is there anything about him that would identify him as an enemy/someone to avoid? Assuming that I don't have to roll again, and can just use the previous perception check. Regardless of what he perceives, Wendigo will return and report his findings shortly after.

Wendigo, you find it too hard to tell. Based on the rats you'd think he was a wererat, but there's no guarantee they're all hostile—and after all, you did enter their territory and not the other way around.

Rather disgusted by what she found, Vera gave the cavern the most cursory of searches before calling the path a dead-end and returning to the others to report what she found.

A bit confused, Miles says, “I thought we were here to fight slimes and oozes, not lycanthropes. Perhaps further conflict with the Wererats is not inevitable.”

Looking around for the others, Miles says, ”Vera, Wendigo, the pile of refuse may be more likely to yield oozes, but dealing with the Wererat leader is probably the better call. What do you think, Knox? Jhazaal?””

"Jhazaal go where you go." Jhazaal says. He will make sure several of the group are ahead of him, as he will follow them, but has no desire to be in front.

Wendigo snatches the bottle out of Miles’ hands, splashes it a bit on his larger wounds, then downs the rest of it.

Jhazaal will move to the back of the group, ready to move out as long as he is not expected to be in front.
