Tender mostly just wanders through the market with everyone, looking at things she finds interesting. She isn't seeking to buy anything in particular, but she likes looking at the more exotic stalls.
Kallista doesn't want to waste time dragging the group to another market, and for once she has coin to spare, so she pieces together the kits from what she can find here. She spends a few minutes looking at the supposedly magical items, but ends up politely turning down each vendor.
Evi would join Kallista once they managed to extricate themselves from the dock, similarly looking for a new Disguise Kit as well as her own personal set of Thieves' Tools. Similar to Kallista, she would be willing to spend a little extra piecemeal together each set. She would also look for someone who could consolidate all of her coins (as she has so much at the moment that she's encumbered!)
(So Evi is basically looking for someone to convert currencies? Like give silver and copper and get the appropriate amount in gold?)
As Tender wanders, she comes across an old, blind merchant who seems to be speaking to her, even though he cannot see her. “The monks of Tharagath may be no more, but that does not mean they cannot be in the future. I learned much from them in my time, and I can teach you the same, if you are willing.”

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tender freezes, turning to stare at the old man, swallowing hard against the sudden thickness in her throat. She glances briefly at Fletcher before approaching the man, looking him over carefully. "I," she clears her throat and tries again. "I am always willing to learn," she says quietly, the same phrase she'd used many a time to her teachers. Still, she pauses, trying to get a feel for the old man, wary now, of strangers after so much. How did he know her people? And that they were gone, now.
(Insight, for a general vibe from the old man: 5 )

Similar to Kallista, she would be willing to spend a little extra piecemeal together each set. She would also look for someone who could consolidate all of her coins (as she has so much at the moment that she's encumbered!)
Evi would also buy a few Healer's Kit if she were able to find any in the market
(Sorry all didn’t realize it had been this long already)
Evi can find a healers kit, priced at the normal cost.
Tender can tell that the man is well versed in the lore of Thararagath, and he isn’t hostile, shady, or otherwise dangerous. He just seems like an old man who has somehow recognized you as the last remaining monk from the deserts.
Oh also Evi can remember that there is a bank a short ways into the city where coins can be exchanged. The bank was always pretty well guarded though, so you might be risking being seen.
Orimdal trades in his leather armour (sold at 1/2 price for 5gp, let me know if different price) for the breastplate (paid 400gp) and puts on his new armour to check it fits appropriately. Satisfied, he thanks the merchant.
The other merchant offer delivery for the tools upon completing a task. Orimdal eyes him suspiciously, "What task do ya have in mind?"
(DM Question - and does this merchant offer any more information?)
Her nerves settled somewhat at not getting any strange vibes from the man, Tender relaxes a little, her curiosity coming back to the forefront. "I would like to preserve all the teachings of my people that I can," she says finally, glancing briefly at the ground before she looks back up at the man. "And I would be honored to learn whatever you have to share."
(Subtracted 35gp each for the Disguise Kit & Thieves Tools as well as 25gp for (5) Healer's Kits. I also dropped some starting items that she no longer needs)
It wasn't until after Evi had purchased her new items that she realized that she had on her person a bit more than she could comfortably carry. Maybe I can get rid of some of these coins she thought to herself remembering one of the city banks located near the docks. Growing just slightly paranoid about being seen, she turns to whoever's with her (which I think might be Fletcher and Kallista?) and asks, "Could one of you do me a favor? All this coin we got from that monster's stomach is weighing me down a bit. Do you think you could go to the bank just up the way and convert it into something more manageable? I'd do it myself, but...well...you know...probably not a great idea with me maybe still being wanted and all."
The merchant explains to Ormidal that a group of bandits have been stopping merchant caravans outside the city and demanding free reign over their wares. They take some of the best items they have and leave the merchants with next to nothing. The corrupt leadership of this city has little to no care for merchants and those who struggle to get by in life, so they have done nothing about this problem. If Ormidal, and possibly his friends, could take care of the issue, the merchant would arrange for Ormidal to get the items he needs. All he would have to do is come back to this stall when he is done.
The old man smiles at Tender, turning his head towards her. “The Phoenix rises from the ashes. With its rebirth, the sands shall be cleansed and the Way opened.”

Orimdal nods, "I'll see what I can do fer ya, fellow merchant." He then makes his way back to the meeting spot to await the others and let them know of the favour that has been asked of them.
The words hit like well-placed punches though Tender smiles sweetly in return, reminded viscerally of the great Phoenix mural on the southern wall of the library and the many afternoons she'd spent before it. "You sound like my teachers," she acknowledges with a little huffing laugh, her tail curling around her ankle. Sometimes, she wonders if monks weren't required to speak in metaphor after a certain age. Still, metaphor or not, she doesn't think the sands back home will ever be clean again. "What do I need to do?" A loaded question, maybe; even Tender isn't entirely sure what she's asking of the old man.
“You will do what needs to be done. The monastery calls to you, and you alone. Do you hear it?” The old man asks, rhetorically of course. Even as he speaks in metaphor, his words seem clear enough.

Of course she did; the feeling never left her, really. "You're saying I'll have to go back," she muses, the idea painful, akin to prodding at a wound that's still raw.
"I can take them," Kallista offers, taking the coins if Evi hands them to her. "Honestly, I'm feeling a bit weighed down myself. Getting these converted isn't a bad idea."
Assuming she's given directions, Kallista will head towards the bank, making sure her hood is firmly in place before entering.
“Do not have malice for the will of the world. Have spite for the demons who made it this way.” The old man says, straightening his back. A small amulet falls out from his robes with a symbol of a phoenix, an eye in its chest and a sword or scimitar crossed behind it. You aren’t familiar with this symbol but given what you know about this man, it may connect to your monastery.
As Kallista heads for the bank, she begins to realize how mighty this city truly is. The towering trees of East Rauruth’s jungle were something to marvel at, but these buildings, even the lowliest houses, seem to match or exceed those heights. Finally you come across the bank, a massive marble structure inflated with gold. It seems construction is being done around the back, probably to extend the building. Several people filter in and out, entering with sacks of coins or bars of silver and gold, and leaving with smaller pouches, satisfied smiles on their faces.

"I think I can manage spite for demons," she agrees, her eye catching on the small amulet. "Who are you?" She finally asks, gesturing to the amulet, politeness forgotten in face of overwhelming curiosity.
