Tender happily takes a tooth, satisfied, entertaining vague plans of adding it to her necklace. "Thank you Kallista," she says, standing again, to look over the serpent. "You know, Fletcher's idea isn't terrible," she tells Jullar. "You could take credit for it; it did eat you, if anyone deserves to get acclaim from it," she grins at him.
Kallista takes five of the teeth for herself, putting them in her backpack. She makes a mental note to try and sell them later when she has time. "I have lived my life out of the public eye thus far, and I would prefer to remain that way for as long as possible."
After grabbing the largest teeth available and a couple of scales, Evi returns to the group and accepts the fan from Orimdal while making a mental note to take a quick visit to His realm when she got the chance. "We might as well take credit for it as we actually did defeat it, well you all did. When you write this grand song, feel free to make my contributions more grand than 'ran away from Sea Monster multiple times'. Oh and what would you call our mighty group Jullar?" she comments dryly, surprised afterwards upon reflection of her mood post battle despite all that had occurred that day.
Jullar thinks for a minute. "Well for the sake of anonymity, and with how brave you guys are... how about the Valiant Five?" Jullar asks.
(I like it!)
"Works for me," Evi replies back with a general shrug. Music wasn't her forte so she assumed that the Valiant Five could work well enough as the title or heroes of a couple songs. "So, does anyone have an idea if our boat can make it all the way to Koria? It seems pretty beat up, especially the mast." She comments as she takes a second look at the damage.
“I like it,” Kallista says with a small smile. “Write us a good song with this magical instrument of yours.” She takes a moment to survey the detrimental condition of the ship, then responds to Evi, “I mean, we don’t have many other options than to try.“
"Oh, it makes us sound like proper heroes," Tender approves, grinning brightly. "Y'know, we said some awful things about this ship back at the docks, but it's survived a serpent attack so far!" Which didn't mean it would get them to Koria, but... "Kallista's right, though; we don't have any other choice." Either they would get there or they'd sink, though it would be awful to survive the serpent and then drown because the ship sank under them.
Fletcher gives a weak smile. He doesn't show it, but he knows that he does not and will never deserve the title of hero. He answers with forced enthusiasm "Yeah! That sounds great!" Then he retreats into himself in a vain attempt to get the others to forget he exists.

"Ormidal seemed to be doing a good job earlier. You wanna help steer us the right way?" Jullar asks. After the answer, if nothing more is needed of him, he walks to the front of the ship, where he sits on a crate, props his feet up on the railing, and begins writing his epic song.

Ormidal maintains course. Despite Kallista's seeming lack of attention, she does notice something below the waves. It glows, which is why it's so noticeable. It keeps pace with the ship, and a few moments later, another appears, then another, and another, until there's nearly 8

"Uh, guys?" Kallista calls out, leaning over the railing to try and get a better look but not seeing much more than the faint light being emitted. "Something glowing is following us. Multiple somethings, actually. I can't tell what they are. Hopefully just fish, but it can't hurt to be on guard."

Tender looks up at Kallista's call, immediately going on guard as she makes her way over to the side to peer down into the water. She leans a little over the railing, bracing herself on her hands and wincing as the railing pushes uncomfortably against her wounds from the serpent's bite, trying to get a good look at the glowing things. "Oh, they're pretty at least, even if they are here to eat us," she muses, eyes narrowing as she looks.
