She takes you to a room, four large columns of natural rock dominate this shrine. A wide set of steps descends into darkness in the center of the room, in front of a slab-like stone alter. Large, copper sheathed doors stand in the middle of the south wall. , and smaller doors exit the east and west. Two narrow windows in the north wall admit thin figures in the light outside. Above the alter, a triangular symbol has been chiseled into heavy stone blocks of the wall. A man in robes the cover plate armor is guarded by people in armor made of stone, "And who may you be?" The robed man says, snickering.
Talvian takes a knee before the man in the robes and holds out the coin to display the imagine of the symbol to him, "We are but mere hired hands employed to guard the cavern beneath Red Larch. When the sinkhole occurred residents of Red Larch fell in, we captured one and were going to use her as a sacrifice but some annoying sellswords came to offer aid to the residents and foiled our plan. They killed many of our men, captured a few as well, but some of us were able to escape. Our leader, still keeping his cover in Red Larch, sent us here to inquire as to what our next move should be."
"oh I see" The man in robes says "Proceed below" as he points to the stairs . You see the guards almost jump from their slouch and you see the man in robes grimly smile to himself. The woman leaves the room after he said that.
At this point Si hesitates and looks furtively at the guards. How many are here? What are they wearing for armor? What weapons are visible? What can be seen down the stairs? Si waits patiently, holding back, and waiting for either the guards or the man in robes to lead the way.
As the robed figure motions the party towards the stairs, Si does not move, but continues to wait for the guards or the robed figure to lead the way. Si also has a strong feeling this little get together is about to get bloody. He is observant and prepared for battle if it comes to it.
"Wait." Jhazaal says, stopping any of his companions that head to the stairs. "All I see down there are gnawed bones and a beast in a pen." He glances to their host. "What purpose is there for us to go down there? He shakes his head. "If you mean to dispose of us, for what happened in Redlarch, then I'd rather do it face-to-face here instead of by some creature down there..."
"Well than, the robed figure says. "You four are more clever than I gave you credit for. And here I was thinking that you were just low life thieves." He walks closer to the group, "how about this, would any of you like to join the Monks of the Black Earth?"
"What my compatriot says is correct, it was not our fault the plan for Red Larch went sideways, we are here to figure out a way to make that right, killing us would just lessen the tools you have at your disposal," Talvian says keeping his voice calm trying to reason with the robed figure, "We could be convinced to join, for the right price. As you said we are lowly thieves but clever ones at that, and that cleverness has it uses all it will cost you is the right price."
"The right price indeed. You aren't the first group to talk to us. Tell us why you're the best." Si continues to watch intently yet puts forth a more relaxed posture.
The man chuckles to himself, which by the end turns into a deranged laughter. "Do you mean those other freaks that robe Sumber Hills!" He shouts, "Stone is unbendable, unbreakable! A life dies, but a mountain stands above everything!' He says, calmer but maddened.
Jedavii furrows his brow a bit, thinking: (But... you can break stone. That’s what masons are for.)
Out loud, he says: “Hm. Maybe, but what do you actually do? Surely the monks of the black earth don’t just exist to wear robes and masks and talk about rocks all day.”
Si starts fishing for information. “Tell us about the other organizations. They must have Gods who are enemies of yours. Who are they? We will need to look out for them if we are to do your bidding.”
Jhazaal moves to stand behind others of his group again. He is just waiting for this to go terribly wrong, as he has little trust this guy won't just try to kill them anyway. He seems fairly manic and somewhat insane.
“The Elder Eye, is the reason we don’t kill those other groups, it has power above all other gods, it unites the groups under the same goal, to rerun the realm back to its natural state.”
“It’s natural state, aye. Who wouldn’t want that? We wait for that time as well. When will the Elder Eye act I wonder. Soon?” Si peaks around to make sure no others are trying to enter the room. A fight seems inevitable here.

There is two guards. They have stone morning stars as weapons. And nothing can be seen down the stairs, it’s too dark.
Too dark even with darkvision? Jhazaal tries to get a read on the leader of these monks...
Insight: 12 guidance: 1
Oh yeah, darkvision,
Inside the room is two iron doors and a room blocked by a cage with a monster inside. There is blood and bones on the floor of the room.
(( Yikes, this doesn't look good ))

Jedavii swallows nervously, but steadily moves to the front to venture down the stairs.

(Yeah, of corse I know stone is breakable, this guy is in a cult and insane)
The man furiously slams his fist in one of the pillars. “It is about spreading the word of our god, Ogermoch!
