The guard strikes back at Jhazall after being hit. Attack: 23 Damage: 6, Attack: 13 Damage: 9
Jhazaal tries to block the first strike, but his shield is out of place, and it slices his arm, his bear spirit takes most of the damage though, leaving him with only a shallow cut. The second swipe he is better prepared for and it is easily deflected by his shield.
Si is panting too. "Moderately wounded here, but I think I'll be fine for a bit. If you happen to have some of those berries I saw you with, I wouldn't mind a couple."
"I am pretty banged up but I got one more heal in me if anyone needs it," Talvian says with a heavy sigh of relief. He will then search the dead guards to see what they had on them.
Jhazaal keeps watch at the doors, not wishing the group to be surprised in the middle of an enemy stronghold as they take time to search bodies. "Unless someone is in desperate need of healing, I suggest we wait a bit on it." He says with a glance to the others. "We are not out of here yet, and those spells might be needed for more dire healing yet."

Also, remember everyone received those 7 temp HP from the bear spirit. Those don't go away until your next long rest, if you have any of those temp HP left now.
The room is big, with four large stone columns and a stone alter. A pair of double doors that you came through is in the middle of the south wall, and a door stands on the east and west walls. The stairs are in the middle of the room.
"How about we save the stairs for now..." Jhazaal says with a nervous glance in that direction. "Seemed like that was where he wanted us to go, so I would rather see if we can learn more up here first..." He glances to the others. "Probably should see if they have anyone that knows about those missing people, maybe cells or locked in rooms..."
Looking at the alter, there is some etched out marks, but looking at what is left of the marks, you see the alter was or is dedicated to the dwarf god Moradin.
"This alter was once dedicated to Moradin. It looks like someone tried to etch out the markings. This lot will pay for such insults." Si heads over to the eastern door and examines it, placing his ear to the panel to hear what he may.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jedavii stands ready at the door, prepared to whack the first thing that comes out of it if it's another cultist.

He looks toward the other three, motioning for them to get ready as well, staying against the wall near the door. He'll use mage hand to open the door.
A walled garden beneath the the northern wall of the monastery. The garden is poorly kept, although some efforts have been made to clear the footpath from overgrowth. A garden gate to the northeast side of the monastery. Three doors enter the monastery at the southeast (the one you guys are at) the south, and the western side of the garden. The statues in the garden are particularly lifelike.

The guard drops to the floor, defeated, everybody gets 375 EXP. In the back of the room is a lever that you all didn't notice until now.

"Ok, that just happened..." Jhazaal says, running a hand over his bald head, breathing hard as he glances around the group. "Anyone badly injured?"

((OOC- To DM, how do you handle leveling up? ))

"I'm a bit banged up too, but I'll live. Feel a bit stronger though, strangely." Jedavii says.
"Wonder what this lever does. Maybe there's a way to find out..." the gith inspects the lever to see what it might be able to operate.

While Jedavii examines the lever, Si walks up to the dead leader and conducts a thorough search of his body.

( I don't really have anything special, just people level up and continue with the campaign. )
The lever doesn't have any traps and is operated just by pulling up, but it shows no clues onto what it does.
The bodies have nothing on them, not even a few coin.
Si takes a look around the room. How big is it? Any doors, etc?
