Si shakes his head in disbelief. "This place gets stranger by the minute. What say we head back to town and ask some questions? Or at least rest for a while and come back here refreshed. There seems to be several of these types of groups uniting under a single force and we should perhaps understand it more fully before poking at the hornet's nest too quickly."
"Seems like we already poked this one." Jhazaal says with a frown, rubbing his free hand over his bald head as he looks around. He then glances to his scimitar, making sure the blade is not broken from hitting the stone creatures. "Didn't we come here to try to find the lost delegation people, thinking this was our best lead? What have we learned along those lines? Shouldn't we poke around a bit more, or do we think we are too overmatched here?" He is not apposed to leaving, just needs to know what purpose there is to doing so and what purpose there is to staying.
(I guess I am not 100% clear as to why we decided on coming here myself, so wanted to get a better idea from those who made the decision...)
Talvian sheaths his dagger, picks up his crossbow from where he had dropped it, gives it a once over, then casts Mending to fix any minor damage it might have taken, and will do the same on anyone else's weapon if it looks damaged.
"I see pros and cons for continuing and retreating. If we continue we may find answers to many of the questions we have about what is going on in this area, but as shown it could be detrimental to our health. If we retreat for now then we can regain our strength come back in fighting form possibly with allies, but it gives these groups time to do the same and, if they are not dead already, we may be too late to save the delegates if we flee. What we have learned so far is that these groups seem to be made of not be the most sane individuals, so I am fine going either direction."
"Seems like there is a lot more to be gained by staying than leaving." Jhazaal says with a frown towards the doors around them. "If we leave we might risk the delegation being moved or killed, if we stay we have a chance to save them, or learn wehre they might be held. That is if they are not actually here..." He nods to the doors. "Which door shall we try next?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Aye. Stay and fight we will then.“
Si heads back into the room and listens for anything beyond the west door by gently placing his ear against the wooden panel... Perception (with Guidance): 24
Four wooden tables with bench seats stand in the middle of the room, and shelves full of plain clay crockery and wooden platters line the walls. To the west, two windows look out into the canyon beyond the monastery walls. Two door exit this room from the south (One you just came through) and one to the south.
Your dagger scratches the statue, and it attacks Si,
Attack: 15 Damage: 4 Piercing
Attack: 19 Damage: 6 Slashing
Jhazaal takes another swing at the statue...
Attack: 19 Damage: 6
You make another scratch.
(How bad is the statue looking now?)
Jedavii exhales and brings his hammer straight down toward the statue's head.
Attack: 24 Damage: 11 bludgeoning damage
Booming Blade: 1 thunder damage
The statue crumbles to dust. Everyone gets 225 EXP.

Jedavii rubs the spot where he was hit, using his second wind to restore 5 health.
"I think we'll be fine; plus we need to deal with everyone here; they hired the bringers of woe guys and I think they caused the sinkhole, too."

Rhodes - Half-elf, Warlock - The Lost Dungeon of Rickness
Si the Demander - Hill Dwarf, Cleric - The Princes of the Apocalypse
The west door is the one you came through.
((I meant the west door of the room we were in before we came out here))
Rhodes - Half-elf, Warlock - The Lost Dungeon of Rickness
Si the Demander - Hill Dwarf, Cleric - The Princes of the Apocalypse
You can't hear anything.
Si checks back to see everyone is around, then opens the west door.

Si the Demander - Hill Dwarf, Cleric - The Princes of the Apocalypse
Inside is a turn to the left and then another door.
"Lots of doors in here..." Jhazaal comments as he follows the others along.
Jedavii motions for the others to stay back behind the turn, then ducks behind it and opens the door with mage hand.

"Want to check the door there?" Jhazaal asks, casting guidance on whomever does so. He looks around the room as they do that.
