(If we're out of initiative) Sariel sees Mislynn tense up next to the dragonborn captive and hears the scream. She clamps her hands on Mislynn's shoulders and tries to pull the elf off and away from the prisoner, hoping distance might help if needed.

Sebastian goes and stands next to the door, opposite Alley, to guard the door.
(Holding action to stab the first person to walk down the stairs)
(EDIT: Just so you know, I don't think I will have internet this weekend, so I probably won't be able to post on Saturday, Sunday, and maybe Monday. I will let you know if I get any updates on that.)
Kotch reloads the single bullet he fired and holsters his weapon but remains alert. He then walks straight upto Sam, his face completely emotionless. "Im Pretty sure you threw caution out the window when you allowed the Dragonborn to call for back up, Do me a favor and judge your own actions before you judge mine."
He turns away from Sam, looking to the caged Dragonborn with his hand resting on the wooden grip of his pistol.

“I literally just said that this was all my fault, did I not?” Sam asks in a jokingly offended tone, trying his hardest not to smile.

‘...and it was your fault. You should probably stay down here while we scope out what’s behind that door’ Johan says as he points to one of the cages, ‘besides, if someone comes down here and it’s just you, you can say that we left without you. Just like we probably will.’ Johan then stands beside Sebastian with his quarterstaff readied... ‘or at least I’ll leave without you’
“Okay, yeah, I probably deserved that.” Sam said, looking a bit less amused than earlier. “And if you don’t leave without me, I will try and be more cautious.” He says with a shrug. “But by the by, I was the one who got us out of these cages in the first place, so your welcome, loves.” He adds.

"All of you, shut up!" Sariel hisses. "Are you alright, mellon*?" she whispers to Mislynn. "The boys are getting started on their pissing contest early, I'm afraid," she mutters to no one in particular.
(So this is an ooc post entirely, i just wanted to say sorry if I actually annoyed anyone by my antics, I am sorry if I did, and don’t blame it on me blame it on the fact that I have rolled 3 nat 1s this games already)

Sariel looks at the "weeping" silver dragonborn and would like to try to, cautiously, examine them.
Do I recognize this affliction from any of my research? Do I see any features that give me insights into what might be going on, with this dragonborn and upstairs?

(OOC, in reply to Arcane: I don't think anyone is IRL mad at you as a player. I think our characters are reacting to the absurdity of a really bad decision - to attack the guard at all when you had him charmed is pretty wild - we could have had a whole hour of "Our BFF the guard" time we could have used to gear up, get introduced, get the guard to bring us up to speed, and plan our escape attempt. And again, all of that is pretty effectively covered by the "My character is charming but stupid" argument. Which is why I'm playing Sariel as pissed off. Because she is not stupid, and is irritated that an alert went out needlessly. So the character conflict is a natural consequence of the attack choice, not the dice. That's fine - conflict can be fun storytelling and gameplay. That's where we are now. So, TLDR, no, I don't think any of us are annoyed by you IRL. But also, no, we're not blaming the dice - Sam did a big stupid and characters who have reason to be irritated about that are logically and reasonably going to now have conflict with Sam. Conflict that can be run to roleplay out and see where it goes.)
(OOC: are we still bound to initiatives, or are we free to do whatever for now? Also, I agree with MrValleyAir; I’m just trying to portray my character as best as possible, not actually mad at you.)

I think Sariel would have noticed that something with the green mist kind of affected Mislynn, so I think she'd be wary of touching the body if she could avoid it. I imagine she's creeping close slowly, bending low to look at the dragonborn.

With the assailants dead Alley decides to guard the entrance, pretty sure that this not over yet.
She gestures to the sleeping Dragonborn.
“Can someone tie this one up orr put him in a cage?“
she suggests.

”And I agree with the tabaxi. As much as I’d love to fight, we have a situation to attend to.”
Cocking her head to the side, she listens for any trace of the crew upstairs.
