"Agreed," Saravena nods dropping her gear then falling into a pile of hay with a little laugh but a moment later she shoots to a seated position. "I wonder if Ms. Qelline would allow me the use of her kitchen. I will be back in a moment."
Saravena leaves the loft hoping to find Qelline before it gets too late.
Saravena stops as she is leaving at Tagret's question then turns back and gives him an apologetic shrug, "Sorry big guy, I am not really a wielder of the weave but maybe our new friend Maerys could do something?"
Feeling a bit embarrassed about what she is about to ask so it takes Saravena a few minutes to gather up the courage to final interrupt Quelline working, "Excuse me, I am sorry to bother you again especially after you have been so kind to allow us the use of your loft, but could I perhaps have use of your kitchen for a short period? There is something I am hoping to brew up that could help in getting rid of the Redbrand."
Qelline raises her eyebrow at Saravena's request, "Sorry, I'm a bit confused as to what you could make my kitchen to get rid of the Redbrand. I don't think they would really fall for any poisons. They might be the most intelligent people, but they are not exactly stupid either."

Saravena stumbles a bit over her words as she answers slightly embarrassed, "Oh no, its not for the Redbrand themselves but for me. I am an alchemist you see and I think I have enough supplies to craft a sort of brew, that in theory could enhance my reflexes. Though poison could be a useable idea, we would need to find someone with some skill with that sort of thing to make it work. Do you know anyone skilled with poisons?"
Qelline shrugs her shoulders, "No, I don't think anyone in this town knows how to work with poisons. We're a mostly peaceful little town and haven't had any need for poisons. If anyone does know, they keep it to themselves. Though how fascinating that you can create a brew to enhance your reflexes."

"It is a rather fascinating concoction," Saravena replies rather proudly but after her mood swiftly becomes sullen. "The formula I'll be using sadly can not be used by everyone, it works by interacting with a rather painful rite I undertook for rather foolish reasons, but that is a story for another time, after I have had far too many drinks."
Saravena gives a small forced chuckle, "Anyway if you do not mind I should get what I need brewed so I may rest to be ready for the fight tomorrow. That is if you do not mind me using your kitchen."
Saravena gives a small bow of thanks then makes her way to the kitchen where she begins the crafting of her Mutagen of Celerity using some of the doppelganger blood, wolf blood, and some of the herbs she as collected as well as some herbs within the kitchen. Once the concoction is brewed Saravena brings it with her back to the party to let it sit to finish its crafting while she takes her meditative rest and does her guard shift.
Maerys settles in, picking at the hay and trying to clean up the area in which she's picked for herself to rest. "So..." she huffs, her eyes drifting across the party. "How exactly did all of you link up? Get involved in this Rockseeker business?"
"Well," Sildar begins. "I met Gundren back in Neverwinter. I'm a member of the Lord's Alliance, you see, and I was heading to Phandalin already to find Iarno Albrek. He came here to Phandalin about two months ago, but he has since failed to remain in contact with the Lord's Alliance. It seems he has disappeared. Now I fear the worse."

"My reason is pretty simple and not as noble as Sildar's," Saravena answers placing her cooling brew off to the side of the loft then taking a seat in the hay. "Gundren was hiring people to guard a wagon to Phandalin, and I was looking to earn some coin for some new supplies, so here I am."
Tagret nods at Saravena's response and adds "The same can be said for most of us....we came together for a quick trip to earn some coin, but things have got complicated, so we find ourselves bound on the same path for now"
And then turning to Silar and Gundren he redirects "Perhaps you can start to share a bit more detail as to why we had to rescue you...what is going on in the region?"
"Well,"Gundren begins. "They're after my map. It's all about this map to the Wave Echo Cave. Did I fail to mention that? I know kept it a secret from you back in Neverwinter, they were too many people around at the time. I'm sure that I mentioned since then."
Gundren shrugs his shoulders before continuing,
"But that's what this is all about. My brothers and I found the entrance to the cave, marked it on this map, and we are planning to head back with supplies. Of course this town being behind it's mining days didn't have the supplies that we needed. So I made arrangements for a shipment to be delivered from Neverwinter to Phandalin. That way then I can buy supplies as needed from Barthen.
My brothers though, they decided to camp just outside of town and wait for my return. Of course with all of this goblin and Redbrand business I have been delayed and not yet made it to their camp. I will have to go see them as soon as we have dealt with the manor, it will safer to return to Phandalin.
I'm sure you have heard of the cave though, right?"

How were you and your brothers able to find it?"

"Hmm, you do make some excellent points," Sildar replies. "But I guess there's only one way to find out. For now though let's rest."
