"Hmph....do we really want to be going further down into this place....sounds like there are plenty of bodies up here....don't like our chances of fighting our way out."
OOC: Did we come here to sneak around looking for anything in particular...or did we come here to put an end to the Red Brands. If it is the latter then outside of a bit of recon to understand the layout, we should not be leaving anyone behind us that we would have to fight our way through. We are on their kill list, so they have it coming.

((Yes there is a song by Emerald Rose titled Never Split the Party here is a link to it Never Split The Party - YouTube, as for our mission here I was figuring it was removing the Red Brands one way or another, kill or capture it does not matter to Saravena))
Saravena nods at Tagret's comment, "I think you are right, its best we clear this place floor by floor, make it easier when we leave. At least now we know one way down."
(Well, Sildar is also trying to figure out what happened to Iarno. However, taking out the leader might be a way.)
Leaving the steps for the moment you turn your attention back to the room. There was still the other secret door to consider, or you could enter back into the cave.

OOC: @Brit - Which direction did the secret door open? Is there any way to jam the door? Would be good to stop anyone that was trying to come up the steps from down below.
"Let's try to jam this door closed if we can, then check out to the east....sounded like someone was sleeping so may be the easiest to deal with first"

Tagret nods to the others that they are in agreement, then pulls out one of the pitons from his pack and spends a minute trying to wedge it into an crack to effective jam the door, asking others for their views on how to best go about it.
OOC: I have assumed that an investigation check would be the most appropriate gauge of success here
Investigation: 12, advantage roll 1 if appropriate
Whether he succeeds or not, Tagret does his best and then turns to the east door, pressing an ear to it before opening, and as they begin to enter he turns to Gundren "We need to know if we are being followed, stay at this door and come find us if anyone heads this way....and it will keep you further from any battle if it comes to that"
In terms of marching order, best if Tagret holds back as Saravena and Rashana are by far harder to hit than him, and probably better at looking for traps in this environment. If we engage, Tagret will be rushing forward as quickly as he can.

Saravena spots no traps in the passageway before trying the east door. However, she discovers that the door is locked. The door does have a keyhole making it possible to pick the lock, or it might be possible to break the door with enough force.
"Locked is it....let's come back to it later, we need to keep moving. Gundren....anywhere here is a good spot to keep a lookout. Come immediately to let us know anyone is about and comes this way"
'Let's head to the next door" and then lets Saravena lead.

Saravena then checks the south door to see if its locked or not.
Saravena opens the southern door to discover a large dusty crypt. Three large stone sarcophagi stand within with a human skeleton propped up against each one. Each skeleton is dressed in bits of rusty mail. False columns along the walls are carved in the image of spreading oak trees. The double doors in southeast corner are sheathed in tarnished copper plate.
