The Tales of Faerûn - Campaign Thread

(Okay, we're now all on the same page then. It has a few objects on the map but nothing in the room description)

Tagret moves to the southern curtain, before moving it aside to peer around it. Once he does, he sees that the rest of the room is empty but was lies behind is a corridor that splits at the end. One door is to the south and at the very end, the other is to the west.

Tagret turns around to the others and relays quietly that more corridors and doors are through the curtain, then says "Let's follow the footprints, no sense stumbling around when we know where they have gone", and with that he moves to the door with the footprints and stops to listen at that door (Perception 4) and if nothing is heard he opens it a crack and peers through and will enter if it looks clear, motioning for the others to come as well and to close the door behind them.

OOC: Is Eniwin still with us (haven't seen any posts), and where is Bitenose (Damian - he is your responsibility)?

Damian will move to the opening motioning to Bitenose join him. Once he does Damian will tell Bitenose to stick close to him.

[Ooc:If it's okay with the DM could i control Bitenose when it comes to combat?]

As Target moves to the door, Damain will remain on guard ready whispering to Target "I'll go behind you since louder." He shoot him a thumbs up, his youth showing. 

(Yeah, you can control Bitenose for combat.)

Tagret listens at the door and hears the sound of voices coming from the other side of the door.

Tagret pauses as he hears voices and turns back to the group to whisper "Company in the next room....do we just attack, or shall we get Bitenose to open the door and draw them into this room to see if we can ambush them?"

Rashana looks at the goblin. "Can he do that?"

Bitenose shrugs his shoulders, "It might work. There's no way of knowing until I try. Though they are not likely to take kindly to the fact that I am not at my post. They will also question where everyone else is."

"Well Bite, if you think you can help. I would suggest that you say the other group of goblins are rebelling after they found some awsome loot and you escaped to tell them. I think that could work."

Bitenose raises an eyebrow at Damian's suggestion, "Maybe that could work, but I thought the idea was to lure them out here unprepared? If I tell them that there's a rebellion, wouldn't they just grab their weapons and rush out here?"

Bitenose shrugs his shoulders, "Well, you're the boss and if you want me to lure them out, I will try my best."

With that Bitenose opens the eastern door and steps on through. He makes sure that he doesn't open the door wide enough for any of you to be glimpsed through the door and quickly shuts the door after stepping through.

A few seconds later you can hear the sound of Bitenose engaging with the other voices from within.

"How do we know he is not just ratting us out to the other goblins?" Saravena inquires to the rest of the group. "Does anyone happen to understand goblin?" 

Before Bitenose leaves Damian will tell him it was just a suggestion “It’s just an idea Bitenose, you do what you think is best.” Damian will place a hand on Bitenose casting Guidance. A warm feeling travels through Bitenose “A little something to help you.” Damian says with a smile.

“I don’t we just have to faith. I want believe he will do what’s right and if he fails then I will take responsibility for him.” 

Still in hushed tones Tagret adds "You just have to lure them back this way....Would they believe it if you told them that you ambushed a group but they managed to turn the tables and killed most, but several of the group fell as well...you left to bring back some help to go finish them off, and then turn back to leave again.  Don't go into the room, just open the door and get their attention.  We will hide to the side, and just know that if you decide to chance your luck with your former comrades, then my first axe will hit you in the back"

OOC: Does the door open inwards?  If so, Tagret will move to the side that will conceal him when the door opens, otherwise, Tagret moves to the South side of the door, figuring that they will be looking to the north exit if they follow Bitenose, and will attack with surprise if possible.

(The door opens towards you, but opens to show the entrance to Castle Cragmaw that you took.)

As you stand outside the closed door, you continue to hear talking going on inside the other room.

Rashana quietly says. "I just hope he doesn’t double cross us."

"We will have to wait and see," Saravena responds in the same quiet tone as she readies her crossbow.

Just then you hear the sound of footsteps approaching the other side of the door.

This should get intersting....

Target has both his hand axes out and will position himself to be hidden by the door opening...wanting to surprise whoever presents themselves through the door....

When the footsteps begin to approach Damian will prepare to cast Bane as soon as they step out. He will cast it on everyone who isn’t Bitenose.
