"M-My..." Ebele would begin to stutter, her voice sounding off. "My hearing..." She'd stumble a little as her vertigo would be thrown off, but most disheartening became the blonde's distress.

Noticing Ebele stumble, Kerric steps between her and the direction of the sound, an arm held out protectively before her, looking for the foe. “Where did that come from? Is there an invisible foe behind us?” He asks warily.
Xalkas pokes his head out the front of the wagon between Hawke and T'chal'fronack'zcinicker, sees what’s happening with Ebele and his face goes best red. He sheepishly raises his hand and addresses Kerric, “Nothing attacking us. I was experimenting with a new spell. ... Sorry ...” He then moves towards Ebele to hold her hand in an attempt to comfort her.

T'chal'fronack'zcinicker practically leaps straight up out of his seat on the wagon as a thunderous boom echoes behind him. His ears ringing, he looks around wildly wondering what happened. Xalkas mutters something he barely hears as the horses begin to buck and panic. He turns and casts Sleep, trying to aim it so that just the two panicking horses fall within the spells area affect. 26 hps worth.

Once the horses fall unconscious, Hawke lets go of the reins and tries to get the ringing out of his ears as he quickly looks around to check on the others to see if they were okay.

Seeing Ebele stumbling and stuttering worries the druid for a moment, but Kerric seemed to have it under control for the most part. Able to make out what he said by just reading his lips (the Observant trait is actually coming in handy lmfao), he says, "It was way too close for it to have just been a normal clap of thunder..."

"That answers that..." Hawke sighs, rubbing the back of his neck, eye glancing towards Ebele again. After a moment (with the ringing hopefully ceased), he hops off the wagon and approaches her carefully. "Let's get her sittin' down. Looks like she got the most rattled outta all of us." He gently puts a hand on her shoulder to let her know he was there and wanting to help, while the other goes for her free hand and, with Xalkas' aid (maybe?), begins to lead her over to the cart and urges her to sit down to collect herself.

The world was black and soundless. Ebele was without two of her senses, left only with smell, taste and touch. She had no sense of where she was, who was close by or if any one needed help. Despite her best efforts to try and steady herself through her breathing exercises, the panic still continued to rise the longer her senses abandoned her alone in the dark. The monk would begin to reach a hand behind her head when she'd stop and flinch from touch. It'd take a moment for her to register that the hand reaching for hers to be Xalkas'. Her head would then turn abruptly when she'd feel another hand on her shoulder, tensing slightly once again before she'd realize she recognized it as well.
It would take some coaxing to get Ebele to move her feet considering she was resisting the urge to fold herself into a ball where she stood. Her cheeks would darken as she'd mouth an apology before she'd begin clenching her jaw, almost grinding her teeth. But with their patience and one more deep breath, she'd accept the help offered to make her way to the cart. The blonde would want to find herself a corner to place her back against.
(Does Ebele know the effect to be temporary? Med check: 22|17 (for DA from distress) if needed.)
Hearing another roar of thunder, Hawke slowly moves himself away from Ebele to allow her some space to recuperate. He then looks to Xalkas (and Reghys had they been nearby), "Just... watch her, okay? We gotta get a move on. See if we can get out of this rain before it really pours down on us."With their confirmation, Hawke goes back to the horses to wake them up from their unexpected nap. "C'mon... We don't want you all to be tottin' in the mud, yeah?"
When the horses look to be roused and ready to get a move on, Hawke checks on the others to see if they were also good to go before getting back on the reins and pushing forward, hoping to spot a place they could hunker down for the evening.

Xalkas stays next to Ebele as she recovers. Not really saying anything, simply holding her hand in reassurance that someone is watching out for her.
