Ebele's first dart flew wide, hitting the water with a ploop. Her second dart however, did find it's target! It grazed the shark woman in the shoulder, drawing blood.

Simultaneously, when the fourth reaver stepped in and missed their elven target, Kerric returned the favour. His elven blade sinks into the core of the reaver, almost ending their life right there.

Haunted by the satyr's melody the woman grips her head and dives into the water in a desperate attempt to get away from them. Her mount was left rather confused at her sudden abandonment.

I believe he could potentially fire a shot off to the shark in the water or the reaver facing Orric or Kerric if you think Xalkas would consider watching Ebele and Berd's back.)

Kerric continues to slice at the reavers before him, encouraging Orric, saying, "Good work.  Keep up your guard".

Lathna:

With Orric taking her intended spot by Kerric, Lathna pivots and looks for a clear shot on an enemy.  Seeing the shark, she edges forward that direction and shoots at it, using her Ranger training to look for her best shot.

With Kerric and the others looking like they were handling their own against the reavers, Crawke sets his sights on a certain shark that snapped at a certain monk. "Oi! Jaws off 'er ya overgrown guppy!" He slips into the water and tries to snap at her/the shark!

Unable to sink his teeth into his target, Hawke’s bark was more successful than his bite. However, Berd braves stepping off the bank and into the water to protect paper gnome. His second attack manages to graze the beast. 

Nayreen narrows her eyes. Taking hold of the only weapons on her, she hurls her daggers down the hall in search of the invisible.

Kerric cuts down the reaver in front of him with his first strike. With encouraging words to Orric, the elf carries his second attack over to the apprentices target. As for Lathna, she fumbles the mechanism of her crossbow. The bolt pops from its place and clatters to the floor.

Ebele stifles a whimper from having almost lost her toes! Another snap like that and she’d lose too much blood… Speaking of which, ever since the shark got a taste of it, it’s demeanour grew more vicious with such lethal intent for the monk, it was palatable. The normal no nonsense monk normally confident in combat, hesitated. Inhaling a tentative breath, the blonde would take the chance and press her advance. Listening to the sloshing of the water Ebele raises her staff, then thrusts it into the water as if it were a spear and follow up with a quick stomp. She’d then tap the tops of her toes to make sure they’re still adhered.

"Orric,  Kerric's drawing their attention- use it to get into a better position and strike where they don't expect it!" Then, focussing on their own rapidly developing situation, the satyr looks to Xalkas. I'm down to my iron reserves and a few quips. But I'll set you up for something that will keep this leader down!" With that, Reghys turns to the shaman and shouts: 
"You're nothing but a big fish in a little pond- and we all love sushi!", racking the shaman's mind (4 and disadvantage on attacks, if she fails a DC 16 Wis save) with the satyr's vicious mockery, they then launch into a full song:


"After the storm there's a calm
Through the clouds shines the ray of the sun
I am carried from all of my harm
There is no one that I can't outrun."

With these unsettling words, (deduct 8 from her next save) Reghys looks to Xalkas, expectantly.

Orric meanwhile hears the satyr's remarks and deftly steps closer to the reaver that is engaged by Kerric. Waiting for a golden opportunity, he steps in and thrusts his rapier into the reaver's side after they leave themselves a bit too extended after a parry.

(If I'm not mistaken Reghys gave Orric inspiration just before the fight. In my opinion it would still be active on him, assuming it wasn't used and I missed it. I just included it in the initiative in case that makes any difference. I'd like to remember to include little buff notation reminders in initiative like that to help make sure they're remembered to be used. BI is awesome and should never be forgotten if it can be helped! :) Also check your inspiration status and remember that if so. Hint: I'll be dishing some out after this encounter for everyone's consistent and great RP efforts in this campaign. This is also a reminder in case I forget. T'chal'fronack'zcinicker curses seeing Ebele go down.  Then a ball of energy strikes him.  He stumbles to once side, glancing around for where it came from....but seeing nothing.   He grimaces and says to Anya, "The shark....kill that damned shark!" 

He first his crossbow once again.....at the shark as well, for the moment taking the blast without repercussions...

Anya fires as well, a look of horror as Ebele falls.

Then T'chal'fronack'zcinicker extends a quick hand and magic flashes from it.  Healing Word for 6 hp's to Ebele.

Kerric:

“Ebele, No!” cries Kerric!

Seeing Ebele go down under the shark’s attack, Kerric loses all sense of tactics and leaps over to shield Ebele with his body, launching into a series of powerful slashes on it.  If he kills it, Kerric transfers his ire and any leftover attacks to its owner, the woman attacking Xalkas.

Move to stand over Ebele and slice apart the shark…

There was a moments hesitation from Crawke, seeing Ebele fall, but he was also really impressed with just how quickly the others had leapt into action in her defense. "Damn right! Ain't no one knockin' down our rock! C'mere you pompous little--"

Seeing the general chaos break out around Ebele, but also noting that there were already plenty of people around her, Reghys turned their attention to the gap left by Kerric. With two bounds of their strong legs, the satyr crossed the distance and got into position next to Lathna and Orric. Reghys tries their best to draw the reavers to them, while focusing their utmost attention on dodging incoming attacks.

Setting him up like that, Orric strikes twice at the nearest Reaver, before dropping back into line.

Kicking off to the sound of T'chal'fronack'zcinicker and Anya’s bolts, Kerric also surges forward in Ebele’s defence.

Water splashed and sloshed in the chaos at the waters edge, turning red with blood. Crawke snapped hard but only caught a taste of more water. However, the combination of Kerric’s attacks not only completely turns the shark into mince meat, he guts its handler with T'chal'fronack'zcinicker and Anya’s bolts finishing her off. After one final sploosh, the water falls eerily silent.

T'chal'fronack'zcinicker’s magic nudges at Ebele’s psyche. Inhaling a sharp panicked breath, the monk sits up abruptly. “But I didn’t read the contract!” She gasp mutters in response to her fleeting dream. 

Meanwhile, Reghys adjusts to the situation and positions themselves where Kerric once stood.

The river of red ran. Blood spattered, sprayed, poured and pooled from the carnage, causing creases, crooks and cranneys to cry crimson within the cold cave cove. Covered by companions, continued to cower, he did. Completely consumed, Xalkas couldn't convince himself to shake the fear.

T'chal'fronack'zcinicker ducks ball of lightning that shrieks past, looking back towards the empty space wondering where they're coming from. Instead he just fires his crossbow at R2 who he can see....

Anya though stop and looks around at the chaos.  She reloads her crossbow, but then holds it...peering around suspiciously for the invisible foe. 

At any sign of movement or seeing the source of another spell, Anya will fire blindly at that spot.

Kerric:

With the nearby threats to Ebele eliminated, Kerric stands down from his defensive stance over her prone body.  Shifting his blade into his off hand, the elven warrior gallantly reaches down and pulls Ebele gently to her feet, momentarily cradling her with his supporting arm.  Seeing that she can stand on her own, Kerric rushes off to engage the remaining enemy, buoyed by his tender but presumptuous embrace.
