Lewin, an oddly-shape bear (think Pooh Bear, but black) ambles forward and swats and nibbles at the nearest sleeping cultist, all without making noise.
(If Xalkas could determine that he would catch all of the sleeping cultists in the room with one fireball. He would absolutely do so. Otherwise he wouldn’t cast the spell. Rolled damage on discord for 32 fire damage, if he can catch everyone. Would they automatically fail the dex save since they are asleep?)
Xalkas lobs a fireball into the priest chamber and it erupts into flames. Material melts to sleeping bodies, roasting them like pigs in blankets while their bedposts snap and crackle from the intense heat. Flames lick along the floor, up the legs of the tables, chairs, and the snoozing priests who sit in them.
Lewin shifts into an amble bear, rushing into the burning room in search of some caramelized sap.
Flux and T'chal'fronack'zcinicker release their readied attacks in tandem. They arc through the flames coming together in a harmonic marriage at the last moment against their prey. The loogie splats against a wailing priests throat to expose windpipe and jugular which is then punctured by the crossbolt. The impact pins the body to the burning chair.
Lumbering up to the table through smoke and fire like it's crashing a family picnic, Bearwin rakes in some freshly charred BBQ with an enthusiastic bite. The ear shattering symphony of screams and crisp chomping take over the sounds of raging fires about the room.
Senses almost burning, Ebele steps forward to accept Kerric's help. She wanted his assistance with an act of mercy, silencing the bear's still protesting dinner, even if it were to selfishly quiet the horror. Her hands in his, they take the cultist's head firmly in their grip. Seamlessly together and without a word, they snap their neck. The remaining priest falls limp within the bears jaws.
Flux's face scrunched up like a lemon as the scent of burnt flesh began wafting out of the room. And once the heat hits him as well, the half-dwarf even took a few steps back grumbling something about "Needing another dip". However, he never went as far as to return to the altar room, but rather after composing himself, suddenly faceplamed. "Ehh... Not to sound callous about the recent departed -- though most of those bottom feeders likely had it coming -- BUT... any chances anything of potential profit, and slash or informative survived that little firey surprise? I'd check, but smoke and my skin doesn't pan out well." He ends on that note chuckling weakly and somewhat sheepishly.
T'chal'fronack'zcinicker steps back as the wave of heat washes across his face. "Wow." He looks around at the mayhem, surprised, and then smiles and nods, "Excellent, well done. Yes, lets hope the fire didn't cook all the valuables."
He begins the gruesome task of looting the dead, seemingly without batting an eye or any concern about the slaughter. He hums quietly as he looks for treasure.

Lewin bear pauses mid-chew, jaws agape right around a BBQed haunch, bear eyes looking up at the others, and head cocked to the side, like a dog waiting for the master to give the okay. He looks around more and finally sits back on his own haunches, paws crossed and head slightly down, looking around sheepishly.
He snuffs, and then sniffs again, and goes trundling around through the remains, looking for anything odd with hiss nose.

The tiefling saunters on in, highlighted by flames and smoke. T'chal'fronack'zcinicker comfortably gets to work as if it's the perfect day at the office. Things were toasty and he didn't have to do much heavy lifting.
Xalkas steps in to control the flames. He uses opposing magic to quench the still burning fires. Smoke builds and bellows from the smoldering coals being put out.
Only you can prevent wildfires
Ebele steps to the middle of the room. She centers herself and taps her staff. The monk begins spinning it, building up momentum and basically turns into an oscillating fan. With some effort she disperses the smoke and guides it out the arrow slit to the south. Eventually the breeze would come to a stop when things would clear enough for everyone's comfort.
Bearwin feels the gentle and reassuring pat of Ebele's hand. "You did good." She'd pet along his snout, up his head then scratch behind his ear and under his chin.
Easily locating shiny things amongst the matte soot and charred remains, T'chal'fronack'zcinicker uncovers 198 gold scattered between various mattresses and a ring upon the finger of the priest who was Bearwin's feast.
Though Flux still hadn't looked particularly thrilled about the aspect of entering the room, if only due to the smell, that hadn't stopped him from stepping into the entryway at least for a better angle to look around inside. "Mn! Smells worse here. But if we're quite done smelling the roses and finding what we can, shall we close the door and be on our way to that other spot we discussed? Or has there been a change of plans from some findings I don't be knowing about yet?"He asks of the group.

As the others finalize their reviews Ebele would nod to Flux. She was ready to move on away from this room and to continue their way to the next door in the hallway.
Identification
Xalkas would be able to identify it as a Ring of Water Walking.
T'chal'fronack'zcinicker counts out the coins, and scribbles several things in his ledger, making "mhmmm" and "mmmm" noises. He notes the ring, asking Xalkas what his magic had revealed. Then, seeing the rest are ready to get moving and out of the burnt slaughter, he nods and shuts the book, shoving it into a backpack pocket, and says, "Indeed, let us continue."
If Xalkas reveals the ring's powers, T'chal'fronack'zcinicker looks a little hungry. "Anything that keeps my feet dry where water is concerned sounds wonderous. If no one else wants such a thing, I will gladly wear it."
Regardless of the outcome, he is then ready to follow behind Kerric, and listens at the door to the west. If he hears nothing he pushes it open for Kerric to go through.

Kerric leads the way through the next door. It opens to a long empty hallway. First you turn left, then right, then continue another 70 feet. There's a door at the end on the south wall.
Whoever opens the door, comes upon a chamber. The walls of this room are carved with stone friezes. They depict dwarven merchants leading trains of mules or giant lizards burdened with heavy packs through immense caverns. In the center of the chamber, a wide stairway leads down into darkness. At the top of the stairs stands a hunched, insectoid creature with a two-tined pitchfork.
