Flux snorted, and might've made some comment affirming the cultist being little more than the latest line of vagabonds before freezing up as well as Kerric's question finally registers to him. "Know a what now?" He whispered back, and with some hesitance tried to squeeze forward just enough to peek past the others. But between being shorter of stature and not really wanting to be the first thing seen by whatever might have attracted Kerric's concern, the half-dwarf hadn't tried all that hard, and just quietly replied, "I can't be saying fer certain, but I'd wager it's trouble for sure."
The insectoid reaches out with its trident, pointing towards the door which the whispering adventurer’s huddle behind.
“WHAT DO YOU SERVE?” It asks.
Xalkas
It’s a Mezzoloth.
The bulk of the yugoloth population is made up of mezzoloths, which are human-sized insect creatures covered in dense chitinous plates. Mezzoloths serve as foot soldiers in yugoloth armies, their wide-set eyes glowing red as the mezzoloths bear down on their foes.
Violence and reward are the fundamental drives of a mezzoloth, and powerful beings that promise one or the other can easily attract them into service. Although it has lethal claws on its four arms, a mezzoloth typically wields a trident in two of them. If surrounded by enemies, a mezzoloth exhales toxic fumes that can choke and kill whole groups of creatures.
T'chal'fronack'zcinicker strides past Kerric and the others, into the open before the creature, nonplussed by it's appearance.
"Ahh, yes, greetings. We are an adventuring party. We serve numerous interests, including the people living in the area above ground. I personally represent several very influential powers that you may be familiar with regarding the legality of some of the evil occurring in this area. It would seem the have not pursued the appropriate forms and permits to allow them to operate in such a fashion. I'd like to rectify the situation. Whom...or what do you serve?"

As T'chal'fronack'zcinicker takes the lead in talking with the mezzoloth, Xalkas tries to quietly convey to the rest of the group that the creature is a demon and hopes that T'chal'fronack'zcinicker can reach an agreement with it.
Lewin's bear head crooks to the side at the mention of "demon" with a "huh??!" sort of noise.
He makes an odd gesture and shares his Eyes of Night feature with the group, giving everyone 300 feet of darkvision for one hour. He also gives Xalkas advantage on his next initiative roll through Vigilant Blessing.
Otherwise, drained and a little out of his league, Lewin bear prepares for the worst.

Kerric:
”I suppose that was the wrong answer,” quips Kerric as he moves forward and engages the demon. Slashing quickly with his magical silvered Elven Curved Blade, Kerric feints at the creature’s weapon side to draw his defenses out of line, then follows up with two hacking blows at its torso on the other side.
As if she had already been prepared for T'chal'fronack'zcinicker to unleash his bureaucracy, Ebele was two steps ahead. The moment she'd hear Kerric's signature movement when he shifts stance to engage in battle, "On your left." the monk practically dances by their elven knight to take up a flanking position from where she knew he, and their bear, would be. "I mean, we are in a water cultist lair..."
In tandem with Kerric, Ebele launches into a flurry of blows with one of her favourite combos. She opens with a jab of her staff to the creatures side then pulls up to thwack him in the armpit before giving him two good stomps to the side/back of the knees.

Flustered, Flux sputters and tries to get out a suggestion. Realizing however that his words would fall on deaf ears(and that his advice was all too liable to be the wrong one anyhow!), the genasi in the end shrugged, then cracked his neck a couple of times. "If it's to be dis way anyhow, might as well go out boldly!" He then proceeds to squeeze into the room if need be to get visual on the bug, and with a cry of, "Prepare to bath in Valkner's Golden Shower! Haha!", called down sacred waters upon the bugger.
Movement(if needed): To move fully into the room with the bug and get visual.
Action: Cast (Cantrip)Sacred Water on Bug-o. Dex Save(DC 16) or take 14 Radiant Damage.
