Ebele would take a stroll to her adopted training area, stepping over to the nearest tree as she opened and closed her hands to stretch her fingers. She'd take deep breaths to focus in on herself as she would bring both hands together. The monk would bow her head before back stepping into an open stance. With another breath, she'd begin. One by one, Ebele would punch each finger individually into the wood. She'd begin with her left hand, then her right before moving back to her left hand, and then the right, repeating this process over and over again.
Training RP fluff DC 15: 3
In the silence of the evening, Ebele picked up a rhythm and as she fell into this rhythm she started to push. Faster. Gaining confidence, she'd pick up the pace, aiming to finish her last rep strong. She had begun to break a sweat. And just as she believed she would finish strong, and even consider to push another round... crack!
"F-ow!" Cried Ebele. She had not properly absorbed the impact, shocking her pinky. That might swell... She'd bounce up and down trying to shake the pain out of her hand before retracting it protectively to her chest to inspect it. "Guh. I hate when I do that." She'd suck some air through her teeth as she'd open and close her hand to test her finger. It was tender, but it wasn't broken. The monk would snap back to the tree. She'd take her deep breaths to recenter herself before closing off her training stance. That's enough for tonight.
For good measure and to ensure proper healing for the morning, the monk would secure her finger and bandage her hands from the cuts and splinters before departing the area. She'd make her way back to the inn. Once there, Ebele would ask for a quick snack to bring back with her to her room for the evening.
Finding herself in front of a mirror, she'd pause. "What a long day..." Ebele would remove her mask, her fingers gently brushing against her scar. She'd turn away abruptly and throw her gear over the reflective surface. The monk would wash up and head to bed.
The next morning
Ebele would wake feeling refreshed. She'd spend some time in her room meditating and completing some morning stretches before gathering all her equipment and supplies. The monk would take a deep breath, stalling before she'd have to face her reflection this morning, but she'd eventually approach the mirror with blindfold in hand. Whispering something beneath her breath, Ebele would don her mask.
RP Perception fluff: 21
Making her way downstairs to the common area, Ebele's steps were soft and sure. She was able to maneuver herself around the room with ease this morning, almost dancing her way around the chairs as she'd successfully take an empty seat at the table this time. The monk would take a deep enthusiastic inhale searching for the smells of breakfast. She was famished. "Good morning." The blonde would smile. After a moment her face would drop blank and she'd start patting her nose as if she was trying to remember something. Then her jaw would drop and she'd let out a little gasp. "Am I late? Did I miss training? Did I miss breakfast too? What time is it? How late am I?" Her head would turn to the left and right as she'd ask her questions.
Xalkas nods politely in acceptance of T'chal'fronack'zcinicker’s praise before he wanders off says, “Just wanted to inform you that I am utilizing this dagger I found temporarily since it is not a mundane item. Per our verbal arrangements, I will continue to do so until such time as we see fit to sell it or someone else would like to use it. I guess that makes it a communal item for which I am the temporary custodian.” Xalkas says feeling like that will sastify the tiefling.
When Reghys comes over, Xalkas has very little to say and seems to enjoy the merry tune. At least until the dagger in his belt starts to heat up. Casting it quickly on the ground to avoid getting burned Xalkas is more annoyed than anything else but holds his tongue. ‘Nothing to be done about something that’s already happened’ he thinks to himself. Making a mental note of the satyrs recently demonstrated talent.
At the Inn...
Xalkas opens his mouth for a brief moment to correct T'chal'fronack'zcinicker but then opts not to as he hears Ebele question it. He’s much too tired at the moment to do anything of the sort. Ultimately he reasons that those small errors were easily fixed in the morning at any rate and there’s no sense beating a dead horse.
Xalkas would nod politely to Ebele holding the door open before remembering her issue with sight and would embarrassedly say “Thanks” rather quickly. Heads up to his room and falls to sleep nearly as soon as his head hits his pillow.
The next morning...
Xalkas awakens later than the others (between 1000-1030 I would say) as he was very tired from exerting nearly all his magical energies yesterday. Sitting up in his bed Xalkas grabs his spell book and goes to the middle of his room and begins practicing the incantations and motions for the spells he anticipates being most useful today and commits them to memory ... should he need to use them. Feeling as prepared as he’s going to, Xalkas gathers his things and heads downstairs for brunch shortly behind Regyhs. Quickly finding a table with enough seating for the five of them grabs a seat and orders a ‘country style’ breakfast and a glass of orange juice from Kaylee.
Xalkas watches as Ebele comes into the common area and smirks in amusement as she makes her way to an empty table, oblivious to him. Hearing her speak at herself at the empty table. Xalkas gets up and guides her over to where he is sitting and motions for Reghys to join him, should the satyr feel so inclined.
(I’m assuming Kerric is still outside for sword practice per dm’s post)
Tending to exercise somewhat earlier in the morning, Kerric is down soon after the others are seated, refreshed and properly attired. Sitting down to a late breakfast, he joins the others and asks, “So, how did everyone sleep? Should we consider going to Lance Rock today or wait for the delegation to arrive first?”

At the mention of sleep, Xalkas grumbles a bit but says nothing as he chows down on his breakfast. In response to his second question, Xalkas manages to get out after a big swing of juice and a rather large gulp, “i was thinking that we would head north to try and meet the delegation from Mirabar. The trade bars we found in the quarry last night have me thinking something terrible has happened to it. .... I’m not sure what we’ll find if what I think has happened turns out to be true.”
T'chal'fronack'zcinicker leaves Ironhead arms with 48 gold and a bunch of weapons lighter, the purchase agreement signed and in his bag.
He next heads to the sundries and market, attempting to sell the crate of rations for a best price. Finally he goes to the wagon works and inquires if they'd be interesting in buying a wagon, or selling it on commission on the groups behalf.
After a morning wandering around town and meeting people, learning some names, and selling off loot, he heads to the Inn to look for the group.

oh thats fine im mostly trying to find someone who can tell me what it is, kindof hard to sell a book when you dont know what its about isnt it? Got it off a peddler yesterday who got it off some bargeman over in Wormford, tho how he got it i dont know. as far as the books and parchment the books are 20 gold each and the parchment tho it isnt the best is 1 silver for 5 sheets. As far as the rations if they are standard travel type i can offer you 15 gold for the box
"Well good sir. I will purchase one book, and 1 gold worth of parchment. And 15 gold for the rations sounds great. If you give me a 5 gold discount on the book, I will spend thirty minutes here and give you an idea of what this dwarven book is about." He begins dolling out stacks of coins to everyone. "Seventy four gold each, eight silver, and six copper." (74g, 8s, 6c) to everyone.
"Also, I have completed the initial working contract for the Argent Alliance, based on our discussions. We should feel free to modify it and adjust it as needed, it's a simple thing to make modifications. He hands out a contract for everyone to review, pass around, and sign. He pays special attention to Reghys and Xalkas when they are handed it, to make sure they don't ruin it or otherwise try to mess it up too much.
"I presume the delegation coming in will be staying here today? I think we head to that Lance rock, the source of all evil wasn't it? And take care of business! Oh, and if anyone is interested in a potential profit potential, Endrith at Vallivoe’s Sundries has a fancy book on the dwarves of Miribar.
