Ebele nods in agreement with the group. That was majority vote. She gestures for Flux to lead the way south and she'd follow. With the roaring waterfall to the west, another one of her senses would be at a disadvantage. That meant she needed eyes for this leg of the passage. Flux would take the front, Sabynn back and Kerric rear. While most of this group would have no idea, the visionless monk still remembered the bruises the sustained from the tentacled creature that surprised her from the waters edge before. She'd rather avoid a non consensual encounter this time.
Heading south along the path was indeed deafening by the explosive sound of the falls water rushing over the edge and plunging into the echoing abyss below. Mist made the ground and wall slick with moisture. Those with open eyes could see first hand the power of the current and the vastness of the gaping crevasse. Using the wall as an aid while she walks, Ebele spreads her toes to grip the stone beneath her feel to keep her best footing.
About halfway through the group would come across a doorway. Masked by the sound of the waterfall, no one would be heard passing by. Looking ahead it appeared as though the path came to an end ahead. Though assuming should the group press forward beyond those doors to remain on task towards the delegation, they would learn that the path takes a turn east around the building to another bridge crossing the river to the south.
(Assumed a marching order. Opportunity to correct me. Pausing to see if anyone would be tempted with the doors, while also giving a glimpse at the road ahead should the door be ignored for continuing. Provide a perception check should you rp your character forward towards A16)

Following close behind the confident blindfolded monk, the less than confident white-haired half-elven courtier moves with grace and caution on nimble feet, warily looking around for any threats, staying close to the wall. It wasn't like she was particularly scared of heights, but the heights to her right seemed quite ominous and fatal. As she passes the doors to her left she quickly steps closer to put her pointed ear to them, curious if there were sounds that would reveal what could be found on the other side.

"Hah! Shore, I'll be just.... wait, what?! You me to--"Flustered, Flux looks back and forth between the intended path and Ebele a couple of times, before following a nervous chuckled he ultimately nodded along in agreement. "Suppose it, uhhh, be a might easier to, uh, keep up certain ruses 'n... all that."He murmurs while treading along the path and trying to put on a more confident posture. And to a degree he even managed to convince himself that the increased moisture about his face was moreso from the spray of waterfall("somehow") or dampness of the place, and not at all a nervous bout of sweating. No siree!
Eventually, he reaches the double doors, but only considers them for a moment before walking on past them to get a look around the next bend. Though if anyone tries to give him at least pause and asks him what he was up to, he'd simply cite wanting to make sure no other "guards" lurked past the bend. Though what started as a 'quick look' turns into something more, as Flux whispers back to anyone that followed him as far, "I'll be right back" before scampering just a ways further to better peer down the southern bridge.
Pressing her ear to the doors Sabynn was able to tune out the rushing waves of the waterfall and focus on the sounds within. It was faint, and it's take some time, but she'd be able to hear several cultists chanting a hymn amongst the sound of howling air growing louder as they do.
Meanwhile, poking his nose around the corner, Flux spots three tapered obelisks to the south, their sides inscribed with ancient pictographs, stand in a row, their peaks scraping the fifteen-foot-high ceiling. Each obelisk has a gaunt human tied to its base.
The white-haired half-elven courtier nods to herself and hurries to gather her rescuers around her, speaking just loud enough to be heard over the booming sound of the waterfall. "There are cultists chanting beyond the double doors we just passed, thought you should know." She says a bit excitedly although not sure if this information was of any importance to the team. As she then spots the strung up gaunt humans she pales visibly and takes a step back, hoping the others wouldn't notice just how uneasy the sight made her. "Do we think the dwarven delegation is beyond the obelisks ahead?" She asks, a part of her hoping they would seek another way. Perhaps she could blindfold herself as they passed by...
Ebele's ears twitch trying to make out what she can of the situation. She looks thoughtful before providing her insight. "If this room with the double doors is in the centre of the cultist temple, is guarded by a wyvern rider, and has a group of cultists ritualling inside, my thoughts are that that could be the way to the leader. Whereas south, the direction of the obelisks and people tied to its base, would in theory be our best route to the south east, where the delegation is said to be."
The white-haired half-elven courtier nods in agreement with the blindfolded monk's assessment. The bound emaciated people up ahead still made her uneasy but the brave elven warrior was right, they should be freed, and as far as she could tell the plan was to free the dwarven delegation before confronting the cult leader. "Continue south."She says plainly but firmly, hoping she seemed more convinced of this than she actually was. "I'm sure we will eventually find use of your faerie trickery." She adds with an encouraging smile to the pale firbolg.
Flux is quiet throughout the discussion, and never once lets his gaze waver from the bound around the bend and the general vicinity near them, least the group be caught unaware breaking cover as some patrol sudden arrival from the south. Thought truthfully, his thoughts are far from such concerns, as at one he murmurs "Sacrifices?" under breath. Hearing most (if not some) in agreement, Flux would wordlessly begin making his way to the emaciated prisoners, but took care not to get with biting range of them(by his reckoning, at least) once near the pillars. "Seems ye lot be in a bit of a fix, eh?"He says, greeting them with a question and a smile. He'd then glance to their bindings and says, "An easy enough fix, if'n yer in a mind to be free and.... depending on the sort ya are." The smile falls away as he narrows his eyes, leery of another fire cultist prisoner situation.

Before passing farther south, Lewin looks around and then at the doors to see if there is a way to bar the doors. "Keeping whoever's in there until we are ready to deal with them would be helpful, especially if we are rescuing prisoners," he says to the group.
(He'd use his bedroll blanket to tie the handles together, and/or a mace he's been carrying around to stick through handles, if possible.)
The doors are large stone double doors have iron hinges and appear to swing open in one direction or the other, like normal doors, but have no handles. Lewin could place his bedroll down, however it wouldn’t be enough to secure it shut. Though Sabynn could tell from what she heard that their focus was on their ritual and that they haven’t been heard.
When Flux would move forward, Ebele would follow close behind. Approaching closer, he would be able to make things out a lot better. The obelisks are made of granite. They stand 15 feet tall and are 4 feet wide at the base. Lashed to the obelisks with thick ropes are the three humanoids suffering from extreme starvation. Beneath their hollow rib cages, their bellies are little more than concave spaces where the flesh stretches thin across their bones. Their arms, legs, and faces are similarly skeletal, and terrible welts cover their bodies.
“We… are being tested.”
“Tested.”
”We are… testing.”
”To survive.”
”Survive… on air alone.”
”Air… alone.”
This close, narrowing his eyes on them, Flux recognizes their torn clothing is cultist initiate garbs.
"I don't think that is necessary..." The white-haired half-elven courtier says with a warm smile to the pale firbolg. "...I'm certain they are too focused on their chanting to take notice of anything happening out here." She continues before closely following the blindfolded monk on towards the granite obelisks.
As she watches the three starving humanoids Sabynn struggles to suppress another shiver, instead trying to discern if these people were indeed tested willingly or if they were under some magical compulsion to accept this horrible test.

"You are truly devoted followers of your great cause, don't let us interrupt your tests, can you just confirm where we can find the dwarven delegation. They are to be brought to your great leader immediately." Sabynn says with all the smoothness and yet firmness of her profession.

Flux scrunched up his face, thoroughly disturbed upon closer inspection of the bound men. But once they gave away the reason for their collective state, he reeled back in disgust, and then spat a large acidic wad off to the side. "Well don't dat be it all."He states flatly, before then marching his way down southward. Despite his feelings, in catching wind of at least some of Sabynn's questioning of the acolytes, the genasi slowed down to stop five feet past the third obelisk, and grumpily grumbled while trying in vain to cross his arms over his chest. Unfortunately, as he wore a shield, the task was not so easily accomplished...
