(Assuming the rest of the group is heading to the Dancing Lady)
Rictor, Flynn, and Bill leave their companions behind, and to their own fate, they head for the Dancing Lady. Each of you does notice Keth is not with you but, he has a tendency to make his own way around, and folks look suspicious of a halfbreed in most civilized areas of the country. The three of you travel toward the lady when you notice 2 things.
1) you see a man dressed in a short black cossack robe with a white-collar standing on the side of the roadway. He is calling out to those who pass by, talking about God and the church message.
2): You see riding into town 6 men dressed as Cavalry Soldiers.
Val: Val quickly retreats into the door of the Doctor's Office only to find it empty. There are no books, no equipment, nothing that would say this is a doctor's office. The room is 20 ft by 15 ft. with an open doorway along the northeast corner of the wall. Walking through the open doorway, Val finds a room empty save for an open mattress on a wooden pallet.

Rictor tilts his hat low over his brow and walks briskly past the biblethumper. In his hurry he speeds ahead of his companions on his magical boots until he bursts into the Dancing Lady with more vigor than he had intended. He tries to find a piece of unoccupied wall to lean against, coolly crossing his legs and eyeing the faces around the room, looking for a man seated at a table with a top hat.
Ravoskan flushes slightly and bows his head, "My apologies Miss Stuart, my name is Ravoskan Krifinas. Mr. Val is right over here, may I ask how you know him?" And he leads the young woman straight to the clinic.

Keth seems distracted and manages to step to the back of the group. He attempts to slide away into the shadows of the buildings nearby, setting a course for something that caught his eye.
Rictor seems to rush off from the other two characters he was walking with. His departure is echoed by the wake of dust stirred up by his passing. Rictor disappears into the saloon.
Rictor enters the saloon with great speed and finds a seat. Looking around finding a seat is easy since the saloon is empty save for the barkeep behind the bar.
Flynn & Bill: After Rictor's fast departure, you follow in the wake of dust. As you make it to the saloon, you notice the Cavalry Troopers pas by but, a couple of them eye you suspiciously.
Keth: Keth is able to ease around the building making no sound at all. Keth notices the target of his investigation is making for the woods behind one of the buildings.
Ravoskan and Miss Stuart enter the Doctor's office. As you step inside you find the entire office devoid of furniture. There is a doorway in the northwest corner of the room. You follow it and only find a mattress on the flow of the room in the southeast corner. Miss Stuart turns to Ravoskan and asks: "Mr. Krifinas did you intentionally lead me astray to this abandoned building for nefarious reasons?" she asks with a faint of mocking innocence in her voice.
Ravoskan turns in a circle several times, looking around, "I assure you Miss Stuart, I would never do such a thing, it would be improper. On the saints above, this is the building I saw him enter. Perhaps he saw it was empty and returned to the office of the sheriff? I could guide you there if you wish ma'am?"
Not seeing the man he was to meet the warlock simply takes a seat, removes his bowler hay and waits until the fancy fella in the high-society hat who he was expecting arrived.
Flynn, Bill& Rictor: You take a seat inside the Dancing Lady, drink and look around. There is not much to see. The room, a 40 ft. 40 ft. room with tables & chairs set up at various points in the room, a Bar and counter set up, taking up space along the west wall of the room, and an old piano in the southeast corner of the room. The Bar Keep, a middle-aged human busies himself behind the bar cleaning glasses here and there, serving drinks when asked, and playing solitaire with an old dirty deck of cards when there is nothing left to do. No one has come in for the last several minutes since you have entered the bar.
Val & Ravoskan: "I will guide myself thank you Mr. Krifinas." Miss Stuart says firmly. "I see now that you are in cahoots with those who would keep me from my Val and keep us apart." With that Miss Stuart turns and storms out of the building.
Keth: Keth is able to keep quiet and follow his target along into the wooded area. Approximately 50 ft. the target stops and is talking to someone. "Pa, I seem them ones that kill'd Chet and Bo. They in the town now. What we gonna do?" it asks.
Rictor taps his fingertips impatiently on the tabletop before standing and striding over to the bar, smiling slickly. "Excuse me, barkeep? Have you seen any high-society fellows come through here in a top hat? Black vest with gold trim?"
Ravoskan shakes his head, still somewhat confused, “That nice young lady was looking for our friend Val, I led her to where he had said he was heading, but he was not there. The building seemed empty except for a simple bedroll in the corner. I do not understand. When we catch up to him, we must let him know she is looking for him.”
Rictor: Rictor asks his question. The only response he gets from the barkeep is a slight nod No and the barkeep returns to cleaning and inspecting glasses.
Abruptly the entrance door to the Dancing Lady bursts open and a strong wind floods the room. With it, it brings in the dust, dried grass, and leaves from outside, obscuring the vision of everyone in the bar for a moment. The wind dies abruptly as it came and things seem to settle down. About 8 seconds later Ravoskan enters the bar.
Rictor: The wind and dust make Rictor squint a moment and as he does he hears to the right of him: "Rictor, my boy, So very nice to see you." a voice calls out, the words drawn to a bit slowly. "How did that business go with finding that little girl I asked about?" he says.
After the wind and dust calms down and everyone's vision returns to normal Everyone sees a thin man, looking to be in his 40's or so, with thinning hair, dressed in a black suit with gold trim and a couple of gold chains here and there sitting next to Rictor at the table. The man is sitting with his knees pointed out, like any tall man sitting in a short chair, and he is holding/propping himself up with a long thin black cane, with a gold handle. He is also holding a top hat in his left hand.
Val: Ravoskan and Miss Stuart have left. You are alone once more in the abandoned sheriff's office.
Rictor felt an existential ice cube slide down his back. The voice always made that same shiver run down his spine though at least this time he didn't jump out of his skin. He was expecting him.
"We made out alright. Still kickin' and so's the little girl. She's in good hands." He was reluctant to elaborate, though he had the feeling the fancy gentleman already knew all of this and very likely the girl's whereabouts as well.
"I... have to thank you for helping me find her. Your aid did not go amiss," he says while sweeping his bowler off his head and bowing low.
The young woman seems surprised at first then extends her hand. "I am Julieanna Stuart and I am so very happy to meet you...Mr.?"

Val is startled enough and desperate enough to hope this is an illusion or that there’s a trap door, something to get out.
If Julieanna gets to the door, he’ll cast invisibility to hide

Ravoskan sits down at the table with Rictor, nodding a friendly greeting to his friend, but not wanting to interrupt.
