So, I can't seem to find a group no matter what so I figured I would DM a PBP. I thought the frozen sick campaign seemed fun so I will be running that. I am looking for between 4 and 6 adventurers for this campaign in Wildmount. You may use any sourcebook, but no UA or homebrew for now. We will be starting at level 1. This module is only designed to take you to level 3 but if the group is having a good time this may become a longer campaign. Please be available to post at least once a day but I understand that life gets in the way sometimes.

Hi @DM_BFEgypt! Sounds interesting. I’ve never played that one. I love a good role play session! Feel free to check out my recent posts to see if our play-styles would gel! I hope so. I can easily post multiple times a day. Here’s my character idea:-
Background: Hermit Alignment: Neutral good Backstory: Lia is young for an elf, having not yet passed her first century. In a few years though, it will be her coming-of-age, and The Trials. For the last decade she’s been preparing, meditating, and training. During this time she’s wandered far from her forest home. This has brought her to the Greying Wildlands where she hopes to find somewhere to train and test herself...
((I’m happy to tweak anything here to fit the world. And love developing deeper backstory as the game unfolds and in reaction to other party members)).
Calos, chosen by his underwater village to undertake the yearly journey to report on and interact with the outside world, emerges from the ocean on the shores of the Greying Wildlands. He plans on staying out after his duties are finished, seeing the opportunity as a good point to break off from the drudgery of the village.
Why the Greying Wildlands Beornrun has found himself subject to an ancient curse of lycanthropy...a curse of The Bear..something he has been unable to control despite some training with the Clariant orders. Now he is looking in the Wildlands where he has heard there is another such as him...someone he can learn from or find more about his origin...
What brought your character to the Greying Wildlands?
Tanen was born as the result of an orc raid on an isolated human community. Although his origins brought shame to his family, they never shunned him. As a result, he grew up loving his parents, especially his mother, Suanne.
Tanen has spent his life trying to bring honour to his family name and working to protect his people. Slowly, the rest of the community came to tolerate and then accept him, especially as he grew out of his teens and left to serve in the local militia, working to protect their borders from future raids.
After one season of patrols, Tanen returned home with a wife, Filicity, a human from a nearby village where he had been stationed for some time. Returning to his home, they settled down and started a family, with two children, a young boy named Derrin (now 10) and a daughter named Willow (now 7).
Recent times have been tough on the community, with little work available beyond tending your own gardens and hunting for your own food. Desiring more for his young family, Tanen had left home to utilise his skills and look for paid employment as a mercenary or merchants guard. He has heard rumours that there is money to be made in the Wildlands. Some need protecting, while the very fortunate can stumble on hidden riches from ancient civilizations.
Kibil grew up in the Empire, a not-so-loyal citizen who chafed under the King Dwendal's strict rules. His wanderlust, fascination with the the forbidden, and tendency to get himself involved in troubles skirting the law made him eventually decide to move to "greener" pastures past the Dunrock Mountains, before he could become subject to the wrath of the Crownsguard.
Though Kibil is a bit of a wastrel, he has never forgotten his rescue from certain death by a holy follower of the Raven Queen. He has converted to the faith, and strives to repay the debt he feels he owes to the Queen's mercy by tempering and directing his urges to serve those in greater need than himself.
What brought your character to the Greying Wildlands? She grew up and lives in Uthodurn working for the City Guard. She does more investigative work than guard duty. She was visiting her cousin in Palebank when she heard about the strange death in the village. She was immediately interested.
Norrich was born and raised in the nearby mountains. But ever since his separation from his tribe, he has been wandering the tundra and only recently has settled in this area. He has survived off odd jobs for the last several weeks which has allowed him to enjoy food he didn’t hunt/clean/cook himself.
What brought your character to the Greying Wildlands?: Calanon was brought here when he was younger. His father was an awol Empire soldier and his mother was a spy for the Krynn dynasty that was sent into Empire territory. After meeting and working together as mercenaries, the two ended up having him. He spent most of his life on the road, under the effects of illusion magic. Eventually they left the lands of Xorhas and The Empire and made their way to the Greying Wildlands.
The thread is now closed. I will be choosing the group in the next few hours and be setting up the actual game. To anyone not chosen, I'm really sorry. For those chosen, let's have a great time!
