"Twenty years ago before the wars we were divided. Neighbor fought neighbor, the smallest slight had the harshest consequences of those who held power beyond just weapons of steel or stone. Until the cult of the goddesses gained power the lands were held in the grasp of magic users whose powers were a stark sides of the same coin. They say it was the death or banishment of these powerful magic users that finally united us ending the hostilities when the treaties of the Goddess came into being. Magic was restricted to their most pious and devoted followers of the goddess. Magic could only be used for healing, for good," Vera explains her expression serious. "Although many were united after this purge of chaotic evil as well as good magic users there are some that still wish to return to the old ways. To the tyranny of the strongest users who ruled over the lands of Talamh," she adds walking to a worktable with totems, druidic blessings Andulra realizes, and many spell component pouches in the process of being constructed. "I did not challenge Sir Ballen because I don't wish to have the same fate as Brida's mother," she then says as Brida gasps and begins to sob as Aldaryn consoles her. "I am sorry child," she then adds, "I wish to keep you safe and you were so genuinely devoted to...her," she adds. "I could not tear away your faith in a goddess that I believe is good even if her temple was full of tyrants," she explained next. "As for enchantments yes," she nods to Andulra, "the village has been made to slowly forget the old ways," she confesses next, "those of us who resist either die or driven mad. Those who are cowed are sworn to secrecy to protect their loved ones," she adds. You see in Aldaryn's face, which is hard that this is all news to to Drow as well. "Elves are hard to enchant as you know but the longer you lingered here the stronger it's hold will become," she finishes her tone and expression somber.
"I...I don't know what to say," Brida replied her eyes bloodshot from sobbing still pushing tears off her face, "I...I had no idea," she explains next.
"How would you," Vera replies going to her niece's side. "Sir Ballen choose you because of me," she adds next, "you had no party of his tyranny Chauntea knows," she pauses to touch the symbol of the goddess Brida wears, "she knows your heart is true," she adds smiling softly.
Vera walks back to the table and clears off a space for Erevan to work.
"Please look around, see if you can use anything," Vera explains to everyone. "You two," she then says gesturing to Saarebas and Darik, "come here and show me your favored weapon," she adds smiling softly.

Vera holds her hands out over both weapons and begins to mutter something, both the blade and the axe glow white hot before she steps back exhaling as the weapons raise slightly off the table before settling back down.
"There," Vera begins, "that's a start," she adds smiling and gestures for both of you to take up your weapons.

"Erevan may I aid you in your task," Vera then asks.

Erevan ritual casts identify on the ring he got from the skeletal corpse in the temple then will ask Brida if he can do the same on the totem. (10 minutes each)
"Oh! Andulra do you know what this is? It's for storing spells for casting later. Very useful item! The only question is, how can we make use of it? Which of us should carry it?"
"So, this totem is called Domhan giving it a link to the element of Earth. It's one of four, my guess is the others are somewhere nearby, we'll need to search the village for them. This totem will help us find the others."
Erevan as you explain the totem' use and now hold it in your hand you feel a tugging sensation in your gut towards the doorway that's since disappeared,. The tugging is towards the surface above the group, the kitchens or possible the area around the farm you aren't exactly sure! Now understanding the totem however you look curiously at Brida. Did she feel this sensation handling the stone too?
