Saarebas cannot believe it’s already been a week. A week since they came back to find this small town thrown into chaos. He knew he had to help the people out here but who knew that the people here would help him discover something about himself.
He started the week helping his Dragonborn friend organize able bodied individuals for some basic militia training. During this training Saarebas flew into his normal primal rage for increased endurance, however, things weren’t normal this time. When he flew into his rage he also summoned the Primal Magic and Power of the storm. Lightning was surrounding him and going off into all kinds of different directions. Saarebas began to freak out; he didn’t know what was happening and all around he saw fear in the villagers eyes. Then everything went black.
When Saarebas came to he was back down in Vera’s secret room. It was down there where Vera told Saarebas of what happened and what he was. A Storm Herald. Fierce warriors that could call upon the Primal Forces of the Storms To aid them and their allies in battle. When asked how she knew all this she revealed her secret worship of Eldath and her Druidic powers. Being the only person who knew what Sarrebas was he begged her to help him learn to control these new powers. Vera agreed to help him but warned him that it would be the most intense training he was ever put through.
Five Days. That’s how long it took Saarebas to master his new powers. Five Days of nothing but training until he passed out. He was running, jumping, climbing, and doing all kinds of crazy things. It wasn’t too bad; until she started adding weights to him. Have you ever tried running with an old lady tied to your back and a bag full of rocks tied to your wrists and ankles? It’s a lot harder than it sounds. Of course there was also the mental training. Meditating and focusing on the calm of the storm. Not letting the fear, chaos, and wild nature of it overwhelm you. Staying in the eye and riding with the storm; not against it. Lastly, there was the practical training. Where had to not only summon the storm but control it. He wouldn’t be any help if he could summon it but not prevent it from hitting his friends. He had to summon the lightning and hit the rocks and not the trees. There were a lot of scorched trees that day. However, Saarebas was eventually able to start hitting the rocks and not the trees. It got harder when she indroduced animals that I had to avoid and rocks to dodge. Eventually though Saarebas was declared a true Storm Herald by Vera and she rewarded him with a gift. A simple sea shell that when held to your ear you could hear the sea. Needless to say it was the best gift Saarebas ever received.
You may be wondering what happened on that last day but the answer is simple. Nothing. Saarebas was so exhausted from training all day for five days straight he slept all day on the sixth. It was the most well deserved rest Saarebas ever received.
Realizing there would be more research and prep work to do before trying again to reclaim the temple and town, Erevan opens the tome he found in Vera's storeroom and reads the foreward again:
Erevan,
I've never met you or any of your kin. On the day you were born, I saw a vision of you walking through my tomb in the Temple of Carrowkeel. I could tell right away from the vision that things in your time will be very different than they are in mine. I've spent a good part of the last few years learning what I could about the changes to come and about the life you will live. I have created this tome for you and set in motion events which will ensure it reaches your hand when it is needed. I know you are not a Druid and that you are not a follower of my faith. No druid could accomplish what I need done. I am charging you with preserving the history of my order and with righting the injustices brought on them by the followers of the Four.
Make no mistake, I do not hold the Godesses responsible and I am not sending you to eradicate their religions. Unfortunately, there is corruption among the highest members of their clergy. This corruption must be removed and the world set to right again.
Within this tome are secrets meant for you alone, though you may seek the aid of followers of Eldath to help you interpret them. You will find invocations of power and forbidden magics for which you will be shunned and prosecuted. You may think this is a curse I have set on you. In a way you are right. But I know you can't resist.
Aurnia, High Priestess of Eldath in Carrowkeel
Erevan closes the book and looks up to see Vera staring at him. "Vera, what do you know of this?"
Vera replies "I know only that it was meant for you. I was forbidden to open it."
Erevan turns the page.
"Chapter One: The Eldritch Path"
Erevan spends his week absorbing what he can of the tome and practicing the rites within in seclusion. He's learned a little more on the suppressed histories of the order of Eldath and found a translation key for some druidic runes. On the 6th day he turns to a page describing the use of elemental totems in a planar binding ritual. "Vera, I may be onto something here..."
After the events, in hopes of inspiring some of the survivors, Darik gave a speech to the remain villagers. Darik expressed that he'd train anyone willing to learn and that they should join him in morning for training. That night Darik told his friends that he regain most of his memories that night he was paralyzed. He explains he came from a city where dragons and his kin lived in peace after leaving Talamh. "The place I am from is Kaldar, City of Dragons." However, war broke out recently as the dragons began to fight each other for supremacy, he ended up unconscious and with no memories. He tells the other, after dealing with this evil that plagues this land he plans on continuing his journey and would like it if they joined him. "Please no need to answer now, let us rid this land of this evil and we will talk about it another time."
That morning waking Saarebas for training he sees that there are no villagers. Darik thinks nothing of it as he understands it's a lot to ask as they are still weary about his appearance. As they trained Darik sees a young man watching in the distance and he nods to acknowledge the young man. The next morning they wake up to find the same young man waiting for them, the young mans name is Larkin. Darik explains to Larkin that his first day will be stamina training and he was to observe Saarebas and Darik fight. After the boys training Darik and Saarebas began their usual spar however, something was different. Saarebas lost control and the forces of nature began to run amuck, Darik told Larkin to get Vera while he held Saarebas back! In that time Vera with her druids helped Darik suppress Saarebas, Vera asked that Darik leave Saarebas to her and that he will under go special training.
After that the only person to show for training was Larkin, they stuck together most of the time training and on guard duty. In that time Darik explained to him that back where he was from he thought of himself as a champion of war, he associated winning and killing the enemy as being a champion. However one day, a dear friend saved his life by giving up her own that's when he realized that he was fool! A champion isn't someone who enjoys war, a champion is some who helps defend the weak, someone who in dire situation answers the call of duty! That night something must has stuck to Larkin because when Darik awoke there where 11 other villagers ready for training. Larkin explains that after hear Darik's story he went to find others that felt just like him. He explained that enough was enough and that they could no longer sit by while others fought for them, Larkin's explains to Darik "You asked for help well, we're here to answer the call!"
After the last day of training Darik went to Vera to ask her about his kind, He finds that she has book but it's in elvish and he does not know elvish. He explains to her his concern if they don't have escape routes but she reassures him that the ward will not break but running out of food is a problem.
Andúlra spent the week in Vera secret cave learning and making new spells to help with the up coming situation. She mainly worked on defensive spells. She wanted to know when and how to use them so she could be more effective. She learned several new spells such as pass without trace.
Hopefully, these new spells will help with the unknown we are about to face.

Plunge Into The Underdark: Teagan (Level 5 Elf Druid)
Legerdemain: A Little Hocus Pocus: Kiera (Level 3 Human Sorcerer)
That morning on the "8th" day after spending this "week" training with the chosen guardian of this sacred grove of Eldath, the Green Goddess, and her faithful you enjoy yet another Heroes' Feast. A creature that partakes of the feast gains several benefits. The creature is cured of all Diseases and poison, becomes immune to poison and being Frightened, and makes all Wisdom saving throws with advantage. Its hit point maximum also increases by 2d10, and it gains the same number of hit points. These benefits last for 24 hours.
After the feast the party shares with each other before they come to the wards ready to once again seek out the stones beyond them. Standing at the wards Vera with a smile explains, "Outside the wards only hours have passed since the blast of radiant energies disintegrated our foes. This is the final gift of my lady Eldath," she explains. "The time you all needed to become her worthy champions, each with your boon will move forward on this quest to reseal our enemy beneath the temple below that was released," she adds gesturing at the still smoldering temple. "Find the stones," she then says urgent and ominously, "find them soon," she says before giving one more embrace to Brida and to Aldaryn.
OOC: I assume you've forgot but you never identified Hilda's stone and Andrula never took both out and put them together at the same time to see where the third was located. So before leaving the stay of the wards I need Erevan and the party to do this. What's the party's next move?
Everyone needs to check-in by rolling 2d10 for their extra hits points and add them to their actually character sheet uploaded into the campaign!
Hey guys can I get an acknowledgement of the last message below?
