"Yes." Zyn says, looking at Kira, slightly concerned. "I, too, have been having lapses in memory. You as well? What the heck is going on..?"

A combined strength score of 33 is required to lift the stone door. It's well over a thousand pounds heavy.

“Hoo...” Owlstra says to the two, cocking his head in the direction of the door, as if saying, “Help with the door and we’ll talk about it later.”

Zyn nods, squats, and grips the door. Damn, that ass.

Kitsune attempts to feign disinterest in fixing a hangnail again, but sighs and decides to rather lend her whopping 10 STR to the mix.

Kira's hot 8 Str is also added to the mix, seeing as that's still a quarter of what we need.

Owlstra puts his face into the wall to add his 13 str that he for some reason has. Faust is also helping with her noodle body!

Asha pushes as well.

With a loud grinding sound, all of you are able to lift the stone and proceed into the room.

AREA 22 - PAPAZOTL'S TOMB

Six glass cauldrons brimming with humanoid bones line the walls of this tomb, at the center of which stands an ancient chariot bearing a bronze sarcophagus with treasure strewn atop it. Paintings on the chariot’s body show a tall bird with a long, sharp beak. On the south wall, a bronze shield bears the embossed image of a Chultan warrior carrying a spear, below an inscription that reads, “Bow before no one.” Four bronze statues stand on pedestals to either side of the shield. They depict Chultan warriors: one holding a sword, two with spears, and one missing its face.

"Are we supposed to bow or not bow? Because the writing said to bow as the dead god intoned, but the inscription here says to bow before no one. Which is it?"

Kira and Zyn both reel and twitch as if some dead spirit is leaving their body. You both seizure so badly, you're rocked to the floor. When you get up, you feel like whatever spirit possessed you is no longer inside your soul.

"What the..." Zyn moans.

Specializing in souls, Kitsune immediately recognizes what just transpired.

"May those souls rest in peace..." Kitsune quietly calls out to her master, the Raven Queen.

Continuing, "Right then.  Welcome back, friends!  I'm glad you're you again!"

Looking around the room with a curious eye..."It appears to be another dubious trap.  That treasure there....offset by the piles of humanoid bones.  It's a trick.  Someone wants us to fall from grace and take the treasure, and then we would surely be turned into more bones to add to that pile over there."

"Don't.  Touch.  Anything."

"Ok. So..then, what do we do now?" she asks.

Kira rubs her head, nursing a headache. "And just because Kitsune has the slightest idea what just happened doesn't mean I do," she mutters.

Zyn looks at the camera with a somewhat shocked look.

"Maybe you should bow after all. Kira, your ghost left you, for some reason." Asha explains pretty much everything that's happened since they entered to Kira.

Kitsune: "I suggest we leave this treasure alone, lest we soon find our bones intermingled with the current pile of bones already in here.  Let's move on."

Kitsune will lead the group back to the open courtyard area, and take the stairs down to level 3 (area 45).

The third level, like the second, leads to another wrap around square passageway that has corridors that lead off north, south, east and west. On the other side of the square stairway, you can see stairs that lead down to the fourth level.

Skipping right to the heart of the matter, Kitsune leads the group down to the 4th level.

At the bottom of the grand staircase, a resonant mechanical rumbling emanates from a dark shaft opening up in the middle of this chamber’s floor. Four cylindrical stone pedestals surround the shaft, each ten feet tall, five feet wide, and featuring a tiny slot in its side. Squatting atop each pedestal is a large four-armed gargoyle. You can you the dark shaft leads to the next level below.

Asha checks the slots on the pedestal. Are they like coin slots?
