Gil and Gael come to locate the point of ingress into the Sewers in very different ways. Gael finds footprints and marks that show passage. He notices another set of drag marks leading generally away from the warehouse. He follows this trail, looking for evidence of travel until he finds himself in a dark area, far out of sight of the main roads, where he sees a grate, easily lifted, that reveals a ladder which descends into the sewers.
Gil does a bit of mental roleplay. He imagines what he would do if he were a bird trying to hide a conscious body. After briefly shuddering at the thought, he looks down the street seeing the lighted alley down the way. Surely the birds wouldn't go that way. He heads the opposite way, unintentionally following Gael. You seek better and better hiding spots, thinking about what a less than intelligent bird person may want to do until you finally arrive at the same grate that Gael came to.
"Eekz does not loike the bloomin' sewers! Lots of things eat gobbo daahhhn there,"he says trying to plead with the others, tugging at their legs, trying to gain attention.

Dylan lifts the sewer grate. “Ah. What a wonderful smell you’ve discovered,” he comments. He’s the first one down the ladder into the muck. “Anyone got a torch on them? It’s dark down here.”
Dra'vos follows Dylan down into the sewers, wrinkling his nose at the smell. Once his feet hit the muck Dra'vos lets out a disgruntled sign then lifts his crystal focus over his head and casts Light on it, "Will this do?"
Gaèl scratches the back of his head, then replies to Eekz. "I get that, trust me...." He makes his way towards the ladder, an apologetic look on his face. "But with what happened there in that warehouse, i'm a little more concerned with the things looking for us up here, instead of what might be lurking down there. I'm sure we got the numbers to clubber down any goblin-eating pests." With that, he jumps down into the sewers, a low thud erupting from his feet as his boots touch the ground. He begins to look around immediately, watching out for both potential threats, but also the mentioned yellow signs, as he is rubbing his palms together.
Utter darkness consumes you once you replace the grate. Dra'vos's light is a welcome beacon in the pitch, and it clearly illuminates the surrounding area. You almost wish it hadn't. A putrid stream flows along this sewer tunnel. If you look down into it, you may see a gag-inducing solid bobbing along in the stream. The smell is overpowering at first, but the longer you stay in it, the easier it gets to handle.
Gael is too busy watching comforting Eekz to do much in the way of searching for the signs. Eekz, you swear you feel something touch your foot, and being much closer to the ground than anyone else, you get a much more direct partaking of the... aroma of the sewers.
Syl, you are the first to notice the marking. You see a tiny symbol drawn on the wall in yellow chalk: a palm-sized circle with ten equidistant spokes radiating out from its circumference.
You point it out and start leading the way, looking for more of the symbols. As you continue, you notice that you find another at every juncture.

Dylan will draw his rapier and move to the front. "I may not be best at spotting these signs you are following but I'd rather be the one up front if we come into contact with any unwelcome visitors." He moves slowly along, looking out for more of the yellow signs as the group progresses. He's also alert (as he can be) for signs of imminent danger or ambush.
Gil smiles as he comes to the opening then blinking as he catches the first whiff. 'Oh joy.' He casually casts Dancing Lights sending his lights out both ahead and behind the party.
Following the dancing lights and the yellow signs down the sewers, struggling to calm your goblin companion, you slog through the sewers. After 20 minutes of walking, you descend into an unavoidable foot-deep stream of waste and raw sewage. The slog continues for another hour, during which the weaker stomached of you barely prevent yourself from being sick. You come to a three-way intersection where a ladder leads up into a stone shaft capped by a circular metal cover. One of the familiar chalk symbols is marked on a wall nearby. Floating down the ladder is a spherical grapefruit-sized creature with a bulging central eye and four stumpy eyestalks. It bares its teeth at you.

Eekz blinks at Gaèl, gulps and then slowly climbs down fully expecting at the bottom of the ladder for some toothy beast to nibble his boots.
